It's a big family birthday this winter so thinking about going away somewhere for a long weekend to celebrate. Thought I'd ask here if anyone had any recommendations (or ideas) about somewhere to accommodate all three families: my mum & dad; me, H and baby (5 mths); and my sister, BIL, niece (2.5 years) and nephew (3 mths). Niece can have a separate bedroom but babies need to be in cots with parents. Doesn't matter if adults are in twin or double rooms but don't want anyone sleeping on sofas!

At the moment I'm guessing hiring separate cottages in the same property, or staying at a hotel (with a family room and cot for sister) might be easiest. It'd be nice to go to centreparcs but I'm not sure two of the bedrooms are big enough for a cot.

We're in the North West so ideally looking at Lakes, Peak District, North East, North Wales areas.

    Any suggestions?

Have a look at Hoseasons website. They do some lovely chalets and cottages, a lot of which have their own hot tubs!

    Center Parcs?

Lots to do even in winter, fairly reasonable if you avoid xmas and new year. We're going there this winter with a big crowd to celebrate my 30th and I can't wait!
