Huge thank you to Tiny Tiggs for posting my birth announcement and the support the 3rd tri ladies have given me (and many others!). As most of you now know I went into premature labour last Thursday and subsequently gave birth to a little girl called Amethyst at 11.54pm on the 17th July at 32+4 weeks.
Ame was very poorly for the first few days and needed a ventilator. She also had to have a chest drain fitted because she had a small leak in her lung and her chest wall was filling with air. I will do a proper birth story once we're all home properly but I wanted to let you all know that she has been improving over the 7 days since she was born and today she was put into a normal cot for the first time, had all her sensors and monitors removed and started wearing clothes. The difference in her has been totally amazing and the doctors and nurses are amazed and pleased with how she is doing. We've still got a long way to go obviously but I'm hoping the road looks less rocky from here.
Thank you again ladies for your love and support and I hope Ame and I will be back really soon for a proper update and to tell you all she's coming home!

Thank you! Not really sure how I'm doing. Everything is a bit numb and a blur still. Feeling a bit better after a good sob with my H earlier and a trip home for a few hours this afternoon (first time I'd left hospital since she was born!)
