Thought I'd do a little update as I haven't been posting on here much. Thankfully its more because I've been rushed off my feet with two little ones due to anything else. You might remember I posted that I was finding things really tough and I was wondering whether I had PND. everyone on here was really sympathetic, but also made me realise that I didn't have PND, I was just finding things really effing difficult. I was struggling with the relentlessness of 2 under 2 and not getting any ME time.
things are much improved now. My h has been brilliant and is getting much better at taking them out to the park or bluewater just to give me an hour or two. i think he thinks I could be doing more around the house as it's always a tip, but as soon as you tidy up, my kamikaze comes along and just turns it all upside down! I do try but I'm just not cut out to be a domestic goddess.
my kids are just brilliant. O is a gorgeous wee thing, although I'm a bit concerned at his development. He's not really bringing things up to his mouth (apart from his own hands) and doesn't do a lot of reaching out for toys. He's nearly sitting, not really liking being on his front and not rolling, so I'm going to speak to the HV at some point soon. Although at the moment he's a bit poorly (really nasty conjunctivitis and now a bit of a cold, poor lamb) he's otherwise so smiley and happy and is generally a happy little thing. I'm going to start weaning him soon as he is 6m on Friday
, and given his lack of hand to mouth action, I'll probably start him on purees and bring in a bit of BLW, much like I did with C.
C is 2 on Halloween - she is just brilliant and funny and clever, and talking All. The. Time. She's now up to 5 word sentences and is frankly scaring me with her vocab. last week I taught her to say "mummy is awesome"
and yesterday, H taught her to sing and dance to the Rolling Stones . She ADORES O, and loves cuddling and kissing him, although sometimes with a bit more vigour than is slightly necessary! She went into her Big Girl Bed last not for the first time, and slept and stayed there all night, so we are very pleased. I just hope she does that tonight too, as she can be a right little monkey sometimes.
im now thing about going back to work - I'll probably be going back in January. O's name is down at nursery, although it looks like they can't manage the mon-Thurs I wanted, and they'll have to go mon tues weds and fri, which is what I had before so its no biggie (just means i'll miss out on weekly coffee with my friends!)
anyway, sorry thats so epic, but I just wanted to come back on here to say hi
- here are some pics as a reward
