I am 15 weeks along and holding up well . However for sometime now i have been getting urinary tract infection on and off and gave my urine sample for culture.
The report came back saying i had KLEBSIELLA bacteria, 1lakh count.
The doctor suggested i take norfloxacin to get rid of this as soon as possible as it could get worse and affect the baby. However my concern is if this tablet is safe to consume. My doctor was confident it would be okay but i just wanted to check. The internet says a whole lot of mixed reviews on the same. Any input from mommies here who went through the same.
I am so paranoid and anxious

I had persistent UTIs with my first DS. I had to take a plethora of antibiotics the whole way through my pregnancy. Your doctor wouldn't give you anything that would harm your baby. There are a number of drugs which are perfectly safe.
I dont remember specific names of what I took. UTIs are extremely painful when you dont treat them asap and will do more harm untreated than if you took the pills.
