Did you find as DD loomed ever closer you found you kept asking yourself "why on earth am i doing this and not going for a section"?!?! I feel really nervous suddenly about everything - the uncertainty of when it will happen/organising childcare, the pain, possible tearing and never being the same down there again", the fact it could all go wrong again, risks to baby etc.
Tell me its all worth it and that i've not made the wrong decision?!
Scared MM! X

Completely! For me it was completely the right decision. i tore badly (3rd degree) but I still healed quicker than the c sec. have faith in your decision x

Really? My biggest fear is a 3rd degree tear. Are you healing ok?? X

Nope, I never thought of any of that. I didn't want a VBAC at first, but once i'd got my head around it, I was looking forward to "giving it a go". I felt my body let me down first time (first, not carrying to term, then needing an emergency CS), so was actually excited about getting the chance to have a natural birth. Of course there's a chance of tearing, etc etc, but having a CS carries risks too. It is afterall, major abdominal surgery.
My VBAC was amazing. I am so glad I got to do it. If I had to do it again, and was given the choice between VBAC or CS, it'd be the VBAC, no hesitation. I was out of hospital the same day, recovery was much quicker, was easier on C too. He'd have freaked if I had needed to stay in hospital, or if I struggled to do things with him because of a CS.

I'm having my third section and I'm nervous too! I'm worrying about the effects of 3 surgeries on the same place, recovery, pain, something going wrong, the anethestic (sp?), staying in hospital away from my 2 children! Im nervous of going into labour and not getting to hospital in time, my scar rupturing etc..
What ever type of birth your planning you will be nervous, it's perfectly normal! When my midwife said I could have a vbac I panicked at the thought but then when the consultants said no to a vbac I was disappointed!!

Yep, completely back to normal. TBH for the first 10 days or so I regretted not having a CS but since then I haven't looked back!

And bearing in mind o healed quickly from my cs! When I saw the consultant about my tear she said they would recommed another cs if we went for a 3rd due to the size of B and i was gutted!
