Hi all Im Lindsey and new to this last time I was on one of these sites was when I was PG with my daughter 7yrs ago.
My problem is I had endometriosis when I caught with my daughter 7yrs ago and the Doc said I was very lucky to catch which I was chuffed to bits, 7yrs goes on I came off the pill 7 months ago as my body needed a break, i then started with some strange symptoms i lost weight started eating things i usually wouldnt stopped drinking tea had bleeding terrible cramps like someone was pulling my cervix up and feeling sick if not being sick.
For the first time I didnt want to do a test I was so scared, and my best friend said take it and see, i took the pg test left it in packet and said im not looking it will be negative and she said no its not i grabbed the test and low and behold theres a line that is so faint but its not an evap line as it has the pink colour to it and it correct place, this was the same when i was pg with my daughter you had to squint to see it then i thought i was going mental. I call the doctor and they dont need to see me as they say if the shops test said im pg then i am and to book in with the midwife Im still very shocked and keep staring at this test... i took another but i couldnt see any line on the other but the first test has a def positive but its so faint.
Any help would be most appreciated from a nervous wreck xx

hi Hun only way line can come up is that you have enough hcg in urine to be pregnant I had faint line and got told by doctor a line is a line no matter how faint have you got a shop near by best way to be sure is Get a clear blue digital Hun good luck let me know how you get on xx

They can be quite faint at the beginning .... I bought a digital one from Tesco and that did the trick as just says pregnant or not pregnant. Plus best doing first thing in morning as more hormones present they say. xx

Hi both thank you for relplying Im not to fond of the digital ones as had them with my first daughter and they never showed up i had the good old pee on stick ones lol i asked 6 people if they saw anything and they all said yes faint pink line and i red it well within the time limit too so i guess its a sit and wait for midwife to do a dating scan and see if anything is there fingers crossed xxx

Hi Missl well have i got news! my friend picked me up another test yesterday but this time the one with a cross if its positive and low and behold a faint cross appeared two positive tests now i feel very shocked lets see what the midwife says xxx

You can't get a false positive, because if the hormone isn't there it can't turn the line pink.
You can get evap lines on tests but usually they are grey!
So sounds like congratulations are in order
By the way, GPs don't tend to test you anymore. I remember when I booked with the GP to inform them I was pg and they don't even check. Neither did my midwife! They just take your word for it nowadays as pregnancy tests at home are as sensitive as the tests they use.
