Anyone know anything about this or can say what it might be like? Or anywhere I could read about it??
Would it be a constant trickle or could it be a bit and then nothing and then a bit more etc

It can start and stop. I had this with my son. I had a tiny amount (about an egg cup full) one day. then about the same the next day then i decided to get it checked out and it was my waters and i needed to be induced. Because i left it so long my son was born with an infection which he needed antobiotics for. I dont mean to scare you and my son is absolutely fine but i would say if you think it might be your waters go and get it checked out anyway just to be sure. XX

in my last pregnancy my waters punctured at 36 weeks, was enough to warrant a sanitary towel but wasn't constant. Felt like light discharge in quantity yet water instead, no real smell or colour. Had it confirmed by midwife at pregnancy assessment unit, they weren't too worried just kept an eye on movements and did a trace every 3 days. Hope you are ok, speak to your midwife if you think you are leaking amniotic fluid as not all pregnancies are alike and it will put your mind at ease either way X

I had this too with Neve, I was 40 weeks and kept feeling wet, I went and lay down for half an hour and as I got up I realised that they must be leaking slightly so went in to hospital where they confirmed it was my hind waters. As I was 40+2 they gave me antibiotics and induced me the next day.

I don't want to gross you out but if you want to check then smell your knickers, amniotic fluid smells slightly sweet and nothing like wee.

I had similar to this with my second. I had little trickles, knew something was happening, spent a full day like that, stopping and starting before they finally gushed!

Oh I think you'd best call your mw or l&d and get checked out

maximum, what does it smell like?! sounds odd i know but, amniotic fluid smells like semen! so if u smell like uve just had sex, then dont wait till morning! sorry fotr the tmi! xxxx
