Is it necessary for all new clothes or just a newborn thing? E is growing out of everything and i'm about to sort out all the next size stuff he got for christmas but is it still necessary to wash them all before he wears them?

I did and still do, but only because he has eczema.

I never bother now, unless they smell funny (as in new funny IYSWIM)

I never both now.
Mostly because I want to put her straight in the new things!

I don't bother now- I do at least one load of washing everyday so don't really want to add to it, luckily he doesn't suffer with anything like eczema.

I never wear anything myself without washing it as its sprayed with chemicals in the factory and I can be imitated by it never mind a baby. Apart from that I hate the thought of all the dust and people's hands touching it in the shop.

I washed absolutely everything before he was born and then continued to wash all new clothes probably until he was around 8 months. I now only wash new clothes if they feel a bit hard and smell all plastic bag like.

I wash all new clothes before wearing, even for myself

I always wash new clothes, regardless of who they're for.

I washed everything before N arrived but after he arrived and I knew he wasn't really sensitive skinned I stopped bothering.
I don't wash stuff I buy for me so don't see why bother washing N's stuff.

I didn't bother after newborn sizes...as LA said my washing machine was going enough already! I was preloved bits and anything that smells plastic-y, but otherwise he just weard woth no ill effects. I don't wash new bits for me either

I washed everything when B was small, I didn't like the thought of how many people had touched it throughout delivery plus I saw first hand how clothes are in manky wrappers when delivered :/
I don't so much now he is 6, but if I put something straight on him I do feel a bit guilty! lol
