Do I still need to do this? Sam is 5 weeks old and so far I have but it is a bit of a pita and seems a shame with lovely, ironed outfits to mess them up before use! Just wondered how long babies skin is considered super sensitive for?

I washed everything before C was born, then once he arrived just never found the time so didn't bother!
I'm not sure I can be faffed this time. Even last time I think I only did 1/2 loads before giving up

I didn't bother and H has been fine. Just didn't have time for all the extra washing and the clothes never look as nice after! I don't wash my own clothes before wearing though

Oh great, this is exactly the response I wanted ha ha! I've done everything up to now but it is so time consuming, especially as he has loads of sicky etc. washing anyway! I've never done my own clothes, just thought it was a baby thing but I will now cease! Pleased because he has lovely dungarees sets that I know won't look half as nice after I've washed and badly ironed them!

I wouldn't wear clothes myself without washing then first, so pre wash everything. Clothes are coated with chemicals after manufacture to keep them looking good in t transit and I would rather avoid that

I have to admit that I have been washing everything!

Did last time but not this time

Depends what it is here as to whether I wash it. Vests and babygrows I know she'll definitely wear I do as like JB says I don't like the idea of the nasty plastic coating on her skin, especially when it's costant like moving from 3-6 to 6-9 where everyday she'd be exposed to it, I've started chucking the 6-9 stuff in now to fill up a normal wash. But outfits /dresses/ coats I don't always - I leave the tag on until I need them, and if I don't then I can return/sell them on easier.
Bedding I always would.
