I'm just thinking ahead and hope someone can tell me what to expect.
S is exclusively breastfed but doesn't take a bottle at the moment. I'd like to exclusively bf until 6 months but would then like to wean onto formula/food soon afterwards. Because he doesn't take a bottle, any idea what my options will be? Will he likely take a sippy cup? Or maybe will warm to the bottle idea? Or will I be stuck breastfeeding for much longer than i expect. Ideally I'd like to have finished by 9 months.
It's hard to find information on stopping bfing out there so wondered if someone could tell me what they did. I like to have a date in mind in order to help motivate me to carry on bfing until then.

It's a bit how long is a piece of string.
You could go straight to a cup or he might warm to a bottle. My babies both self weaned from the breast. L was 12 months and continued taking a bottle of ebm for ages (think he was just lazy) whereas A was 16 months and has barely drank any milk since!

We are at almost 7 months and weaned but still bfing as he won't take a bottle. He loves his sippy cup but a lot dribbles out so I wouldn't be confident of him taking a whole feed IYKWIM? Keep trying and introduce the cup at about 4-5 months if still refusing bottles. Use about 1oz of bm (I hate waste) and see how you go. Next time I am trying bottles sooner! Good luck!
