Well Ive hit the 12 week mark! Im quite excited about this but sick with nerves about tomorrow! I spoke to my Mum last night & she was really excited as she thought the scan was today! Think she is just annoyed she has to wait another day before she can tell anyone!
Im trying to train my bladder ready for the morning! I m constantly going to the loo (even before I was pregnant) so when I need to go im trying to wait! Ive got a big bottle of water ready for the car journey so i can fill my bladder on the way!
Im order to keep myself distracted today, I have this to tackle!
Should keep my mind of things!
I read this morning that Kate Winslet has just announced she is pregnant and due at the end of the year! I said to H tht it will be nice to have a nice celeb to share the journey with, he looked at me like a nutter!!
Hope everyone is well today!

I've just seen this after posting a thread, I'll delete mine!!!
When I had my private scan they advised drinking a punt of water an hour before the scan and then not going to the loo. She said that my bladder was nice and full so it must have been fine. If that helps at all?
Good luck for tomorrow!

Just thought I would pop on and see who was in 1st and if anyone would be moving up soon
p.s. I forgot to have a full bladder at my scan and they still found the baby easily. Good job too! If she had pressed that thing on my belly with a full bladder there would have been an accident!
Mrs Bass! I thought my desk was bad! That is amazing :-)

MrsB - good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hope you manage to keep busy today!
Imp - What did your thread say, i missed it!!
AFM - 11weeks today. Hurrah. The sun seems to be hiding so we gonna go to Dunelm to buy some blackout lining and then do the Tesco shop and I feel like doing some baking (I must be feeling better!) but not sure what to make.

Hi L.Pixie. I have to agree re overfull bladder actually, my friend had her scan and all they could see was a massive bladder and a tiny baby squashed into a corner. She was then asked to empty her bladder "a bit" and then they would scan again. Have you tried emptying your bladder "a bit". Next to impossible once those full gates are open, LOL!!!!

Horse fan - Who can ever empty their bladder "a bit" ?!?!?! Impossible, especially when pregnant!!!! I would be better off emptying completely and then half filling :-)

Morning ladies, Mrs Bass, I think that desk will definately keep you busy and pass the day!!
Imp, how on earth did you manage to hold a pint of water for an hour?!? I drank about half a 500ml bottle before we left to go to the hospital (so about 40mins) and I had to go and pee a bit before I went in for the scan, I honestly was about to wee myself!! She did say my bladder wasn't all that full (which it wouldn't have been, do you know how hard it is to just pee a bit and stop!) but they could still see the baby with a 'normal' scan and that was at 6+1. I think having a full bladder helps push things up?
Hi LP how are you?
HF glad your feeling better and that sounds like a good day plans. I saw you pics this morning of the room, well done you, it's looking great.
Not much from me, feeling rubbish, I'm exhausted. So wish I didn't have work everyday. Scan for us on sat so nervous about that.
I asked the other day, but it was late on and I don't think anyone saw it, but all my 1st tri ladies, have any of you actually been sick or is it just nausea? I've only been sick once and it wasn't really anything, think it was just from wretching, concerned about my lack of sickness!
05/06/2013 at 10:19
lol, cross posted with you both, I emptied my bladder a bit and yes it was a mission!
05/06/2013 at 10:25
MDD - I haven't actually been sick at all. But have had all day queasyiness. Its gone now though. (Which I'm hoping is because I'm 11weeks and thus moving towards 2nd tri as opposed t anything being wrong)

Sorry Imp, I did look for another one, we must have posted at the same time! Oh no, a full bladder for over an hour!!!!
Hi LP, how if life over the other side!? I am a little embarrassed about my desk, im tucked in a corner so no one ever sees it! Ive made a good dent already!
Horsefan, Ive been doing loads of baking recenty, made sme yummy oatmeal & rasin cookies the other day! There is no way I could just wee a little bit! I think i'll drink in the car but make sure i take extra water wihme so I can 'top up'!!
hi MissDD, I havent actually been sick at all, just nausea. Hoping it stays that way!!
05/06/2013 at 11:40
Mrs Bass - I had to drink a pint and a half! I managed it for hour and 30 minutes I was quite proud! lol Did nearly die afterwards!
Little Pixie - I'm moving on tomorrow thanks to my scan changing my dates!
I won't even add a picture of my desk they are currently hammering and moving my office door more like a builders yard....
05/06/2013 at 11:50
Miss Dee dee - I am good thanks :-) Hope your scan goes well xxx
Mrs Bass - I am in a corner too. Easy to get carried away isn't it? I still know where everything is though!
Rosy Lee - Look forward to welcoming you onto 2nd tomorrow then :-)

I wasso grumpy whilst we were waiting for the scan, H kept trying to hold my hand to calm my nerves, and I snapped at him to stop touching me!!!! Lol. All I could think about was pissing myself!! I'm going to try and drunk about half a pint 30 mind before this time. Hopefully that'll be enough!
Missdeedee I haven't been sick at all. I've felt nauseous pretty much all the time but I'm actually starting to feel a bit brighter now. Not all the time, the evenings are still my nemesis but the mornings are getting easier.
05/06/2013 at 13:55
RosyLee you must be having fun in your office today then!LP I kinda knew where everything was! The benefit of being in the corner as that no on can see what your doing on the intrenet! So, here is the finished result!

Mrs Bass congratulations on hitting 12 weeks and good luck for tomorrow!! The change in your desk is amazing, would you like to come and do mine now??? lol
Imp I'm glad youre starting to feel better
HorseFan Did you bake in the end? I want to make a cake but never seem to be able to find the time!!
Missdeedee good luck for your scan on sat. I haven't been sick just really bad nausea and I've been sick in mymouth a couple of times which is a really horrible thing, I'd much rather if it was going to come up it did it properly (sorry that didnt need to be said did it!!!!)
Rosy Lee good luck in 2nd tri
AFM still exhausted but had a really busy week at work which hasnt helped. The nausea seems to be getting easier, I'm constantly grazing at the moment though, I just can't manage a full meal. And OMG do my nipples hurt, it's excruciating, like someone is jabbing them with red hot pokers and they catch and rub on EVERYTHING!!! I don't know where to put myself, nothing helps at all I've got a funeral in Cornwall to go to on Friday and as it's about 5 hours from where I live we're heading down tomorrow afternoon so I won't be around until the weekend now... not that I'm ever here in time to join in properly anyway!!!
