DP- has the cold disappeared yet?
CL & ST - are you still both feeling better?
BLL - how did the bonfire go? Did she enjoy it?
AFM - got my scan tonight. Really its with a diagnostic specialist so I'm hoping she might be able to tell us what type of twins they are. It can be fairly important as certain types can have more problems and risks during pregnancy. But we will find out more about that when I see my consultant next week. We're off to baby signing this morning and Dexter will get to wear the birthday hat and we all sing happy birthday to him. I'm more excited than he is.
Hi to all who follow!

MS - Good luck with your scan today! Ahhh go Dexter, it sounds really nice x
AFM - Have any of you noticed that you've lost weight, I think I've lost about 51bs, and it's quite noticeable, I do know I only eat what I really fancy at the moment, and I haven't got a huge appetite but I don't want to lose any more! Is it normal? Feeling ok, nothing really to report, boobs are still so sore and I think I'll have to invest in some new bras but I really wanted to wait until I'd had my scan but I don't think that will be the case now. Haven't had any real bad nausea so I might be one of the lucky ones. I'm sleeping really well too so overall things are going well.
Hi to all who follow. x

CL - I've definitely not lost any weight. I've heard of people that have done when pregnant though. I wouldn't worry about it, you will probably start putting some on later in the pregnancy. I would suggest investing in a couple of wireless bras for your sore boobs. If your planning on breast feeding then you might aswell get some nursing ones. You're lucky not having much nausea.

Good morning ladies,
MS - Good luck for the scan tonight, I hope it goes well and you get some more information.
CL - I've not lost any weight... but I'm still in very early days. I have heard it can be common though in the earlier days. Have your boobs gotten bigger? When did they start to change? Mine feel a little bit fuller and I've had some soreness and sensitivity on and off but that is all. Am I expecting too much too soon?
AFM - I'm still working from home as this cold hasn't shifted, and the nausea is a bit worse today but manageable, and I've not actually been sick.

Yeah thanks MS I might get some at the weekend. Dolly, regarding your boobs, they sounds exactly like how mine feel now but mine have definitely got bigger, it's easy for me to tell because I didn't have much to start with ;) I am feeling rather anxious regarding my lack of symptoms, so I'm just waiting to get to 12 o clock so I can book in with my GP tonight, I need to hand in a letter about my IVF , but the main reason is I want to try and book an early scan, I know that everything could be ok but what if it's not? x

Dolly - It's a really good sign that you are feeling sick!

CL - Have you heard from the midwife yet about a booking in appointment? Can you just book a scan without speaking to the GP at somewhere private? You do have symptoms if your boobs are growing, and not everyone gets sickness, I read that only 33% of women actually throw up in pregnancy xx

Dolly - My booking in apt isn't until the 25th of this month when I'll be 12 weeks but was told my scan will be booked that week too. I've managed to get in with my GP tonight so will have a chat with him and see if he will refer me otherwise I'll just book privately. I'm sure I'm just being paranoid but I won't settle until I've had a scan so hopefully I can get one early part of next week. x

It's understandable that you need the reassurance, you've been through so much and we can't physically see what is happening. I hope the GP is nice and supportive, and if can't offer you a scan just getting a private one should hopefully calm your nerves until 12 weeks. Everyone says to enjoy this time but it's really not easy!

Nosing in here at you ladies and spotted the question about weight loss. I lost over 14lbs during the first trimester but ended my pregnancy 2st heavier than my weight at the start so it'll all even out in the end x

Thanks Purple Star, that's really reassuring. x

Hi everyone- I've been a work the past couple of days which makes it a pita to get on here!
MS- hope the scan goes well and they can tell you the type of twins, stupid question but do you have to do things in double like frolic acid etc as there are two in there?
CL- i wouldn't worry too much about the weight loss as long and you eat what you can/fancy, I think pregnancy has an effect where your body just knows what it wants. Try not to worry about the symptoms lack- my best friend had nothing, no sore boob, sickness, tiredness anything and her Lo was totally fine.
DP- hope the cold goes away soon-I'm joining you on the sickness bench- it's horrible isn't it? I find I have to eat every 2-3 hours or I miss the window of opportunity and feel awful for the rest of the day!
AFM- 8 weeks today! I feel like the weeks are sooo long, it seems to be taking ages this time round to get to scan time! I had my booking in appointment which was fine, also still get 3 scans here which is nice, just waiting for the letter to come through for my first one. I also forgot how much form filling pregnancy involves it seems never ending!

La - I asked the sonographer on Sat (who's also a midwife) if I needed to take more folic acid. I told her I was taking pregnacare and she said that would be efficient as there is quite a lot in pregnacare. But I'm going to check with my consultant when I see her. I know what you mean about the days dragging until the first scan.
CL- My mum commented today on how slim I was looking and all day my jeans have been falling down so clearly I'm wrong and have lost some weight. I put it down to MS and not being able to eat too much.
