Hope everyone is well today.
if anyone has any baby out vibes I'd appreciate them. Sweep done and not a lot happening. Woke at 5 thinking i might be having mild contractions but had nothing in the past hour. Induction booked for next week which seems an age away. Feel like im back to ttcing and symptom spotting. Trying to stay upbeat but feeling a bit fed up now. Rant over!

Tons of baby out vibes your way xx
I saw consultant yesterday who didn't seem too concerned, have to "carry on as normal" and go for scan at 32 weeks as planned, then got an appointment at high risk clinic at 33 weeks. She didn't really have answers to my questions, the standard answer seemed to be "how long is a piece of string" "can't predict what will happen" etc. She said to go to work as normal but I couldn't face it so I'm taking this week off then will decide what to do after that.
On another note, anyone suffer from swollen lady bits? At least I think they are swollen I can't see them!
Hope everyone else is doing well - who's next on the due date list, after MrsP? CK?

Thanks weekender, sorry the appointment hasn't answered all your questions. Must be really frustrating for you x

Mrs p - a million baby out vibes for you x
Weekender - it really is just a case of wait and see then. I really feel for you its not nice to be in limbo!
We seem to have a big gap between mrsp and myself! Im not planning on going early so may be a quiet month.. Got to visit my nana last night. She was admitted to hospital in aberdeen over christmas and we didnt think she would get home but she did and was admitted to her local hosp which is a lot nearer so i got to visit. Poor.soul, it's not looking great but she's 93 and seems happy enough to go, was too busy worrying about me and baby saying she was praying for us all the time. I could only whisper i love you when i was saying goodbye as my voice went. :-( getting old sucks.
Usual day today Aaron at nursery this morn and phoebe has a 30month assesment.

Guess it's time to move over here properly, I'm 28 weeks today. Changing threads is always a bit scary but I know there's a few familiar faces on here!
Mrs P - sending you lots of baby out vibes and hope little one decides to make an appearance soon.
Weekender - it's a shame they couldn't give you any definite answers. Are you going to go back to work? It must be hard trying to keep things normal for M with it constantly being a worry at the back of your mind.
AFM - feeling ok, just tired. Struggling with being back to work but still have quite a while left so trying not to think about it too much! Ended up having to stil on a stool for a two hour meeting yesterday so my back was killing me by the end of it - you'd have thought they'd give the pregnant girl a proper chair! Had a bit of a fret about movements at the start of the week, but it's like she knew I was worrying and it back to wriggling away again. For the last week or so I've been getting a weird vibrating at the bottom of my ribs on the right side, not sure if it's baby related (google suggests it might be but we know how reliable that is!), but it really tickles and I have to have a good stretch to get rid of it. Kept on feeling it in my meeting yesterday, I must have looked like a real fidget!

Mrs P, not surprised you're fed up. Baby out vibes, hope something starts happening soon. x
Weekender - When are you due to start mat leave? Good idea reassessing the work situation next week.
CK - Sprry about your nana. Getting old does suck :( glad you got to visit her and hope you receive positive news x
Flossy - welcome to third Tri :D they should definitely have given you a proper chair!
I really don't have any exciting to report. I am going to put a bump pic up later when I can figure out how to. I don't think it's too small and if the mw isn't worried, I don't see why I should be :)

Mrs P - loads of baby out vibes coming your way! get on the ball, sniff that clary sage, have some nookie! eat a curry and go for a walk! not neccasarily in that order!
WE - its good that the consultants didnt seem too concerned however i know that sometimes that can be more frustrating! just remember to try and rest as much as you can even though i know thats easier said than done
Mrs B - Helloooo!!!!
CK - it really is heartbreaking seeing the ones you love getting old, my dad seems to have aged about 20 years in the last year or so, he had a bad fall and ever since then hes not been right! breaks my heart! - big hugs to you
Flossy - its amazing how rude some people can be, making you sit on a stall! the cheek of it! hope your back is ok today! dont worry your not the only fidget! i look like i have torrets most days as baby's feet are right under my ribs and i just cant keep still!
AFM - another busy week for me! had physio yesterday and i feel battered and bruised today, got midwife and anaestetists on friday so that is gonig to be a busy one! i really cannot wait to finish work now! totally had enough and just want to go! hopefully the baby will hold out until next friday!
baby wise - he/she seems fine in there i am getting a lot of ridgid movemnt now as i think they are running out of space! got feet right under my ribs which is just so uncomfortable! everything has started to feel quite real now and i must admit i am feeling quite tearful and scared about it all! x

LD - Missed you, its ok someone i know is the same wk as you and has a teeny tiny bump! im so jealous x
08/01/2014 at 09:47
CK, sorry to hear about your nana. I hope she gets to meet the baby. Getting old does indeed suck xx
Flossy I get some really weird wriggling movements too. What job do you have?
LD, if the midwife isn't worried then you shouldn't be either, enjoy being able to fasten your shoes by yourself ;)
NLH, what is scaring you? Are you having a section?
Just dropped M at nursery, she was clinging to me, she's so unsettled after me being in hospital last week, poor soul. Hoping getting back into a routine will help her.

WE- i just think it's everything in general, it's getting closer to D day and the eralisation of it all is hitting me! its like OMG there is going to be a baby here soon! also really starting to get scared about the labour and becuase of my past medical complications that hasn't helped! I was misdiganosed by a doctor a cfew years ago and it lead to me nearly dying therefore I don't trust doctors and midwifes etc! so that doesn't help
just feeling scared in general i suppose!
08/01/2014 at 12:16
Once it's here you won't be scared, honestly. Im with you on the fear or the birth due to mistrusting docs after surgery about 15 months ago. But trying to look past that bit! The nappy changing, feeding etc works out by itself, I had no idea how to change nappies or anything before Ms birth and after you've done one or two it's easy. You and your OH will find your way with it. It's life changing no doubt about it, but their little smiley faces and all their firsts make it worthwhile x
Are you planning to bf?

NLH - I do feel like I can't get comfortable since coming back to work after Christmas. I just lent over my desk and my bump knocked over my cup of tea! Keep underestimating how big I am! When do you finish work? I'm counting the days but an working till 38 weeks so still have ages!
Weekender - I'm a PA, pretty boring but I work in media so it has it's perks and benefits! It does mean lots of running around though which I'm not really in the mood for at the moment. Poor M, I can imagine she's pretty unsettled but hopefully will forget about it quickly. In a few years she'll know what a pain her little brother was before he'd even arrived ;)
LD - I've seen lots of people who still have little bumps at your stage (including a girl I work with). If the midwife is happy then definitely don't worry. People seem keen to comment on size whether big or small!
08/01/2014 at 12:50
WE I am Hoping to breastfeed if possible x
08/01/2014 at 18:50
NLH - I know how you feel. I am pretty scared about both labour and having a real baby here all of a sudden. As weekender says, it's life changing but amazing too.
08/01/2014 at 19:30
NLH, I didn't succeed at breastfeeding last time, I was so nervous that I was doing something wrong and ended up formula feeding, this time round I'm going to go to a breastfeeding group before the birth to see if I can get tips before he arrives, and so i don't feel uncomfortable going into a room of strangers with a potentially screaming baby. I def think it'd have helped me last time round to have had the support.
