Hoping to see a BA from RKB this morning.
Back to work today after nearly 3 weeks annual leave. Rubbish nights sleep too thanks to my son and an H who just sleeps through anything. I'm now up getting Js breakfast while my H sleeps - alarm not due to go off for another half hour :-(
Hope everyone is well

Hi Ally, where is everyone this morning! Usually I'm last to arrive! Hope work isn't too bad today. How long left until you finish for mat leave?
C'mon baby RKB!!! Where are youuuuu!?
AFM - just a boring day in work today. I've not got much work on these days so been calculating how far apart my flags need to go for my bunting! haha I want it up and done by the weekend. Got a letter through from the health visitor yesterday - she's going to visit me in a few weeks. Is it normal for them to visit before the baby arrives? I was surprised that they work from the Council, not the hospital. Would've thought they were NHS

Another one here hoping to see a Ba from rkb.
Ally hope work isn't too bad today, its always horrid going back after a holiday. Although your up before the alarm at least you don't have to rush.
Midwife was fine yesterday. Going back later this morning for my 28 week blood tests, then got an eye test this afternoon, I'm sure I'm going to need new glasses! Will hopefully be able to pick up the under the cotbed drawer we've ordered from mothercare to match the cotbed.

Morning pirate wife. You will have to flash a picture of your bunting when it's done! No idea about the health visitor, I think they come round before as I remember someone at work saying they checked that they had or were getting the basics and told her she wasn't allowed a cot bumper.

Boo for being back at work, not long to go now though? My H is the opposite, I'm always waking him with my snoring these days, another pregnancy delight!
AFM - bought the last bits for my hospital bag yesterday, now I have to pack it, may leave that for a few days, very scary! Got NHS physio tonight, although its a lot better since I saw the private chap so not sure what to say to them!

Darn, missed loads while work got in the way!
PW - dont think HV's do that in our area, I got the impression from my MW that she would be around post-birth?
Bunny - have a nice day!
Still no BA from RKB?! Poor thing, what a trooper. Lots of baby out vibes x
Ally - hope that your first day back isn't as bad as you fear
PW - haha sounds like you don have much work on! No idea about health visitor I am afraid, I haven't had any communication from them but it could differ area from area
Bunny - glad that all went well with the midwife. We got an under cot drawer and its great for storage of sheets etc
AFM - woke up to wonderful news that my friend had her baby last night. She had a girl and we were all convinced it was going to be a boy! She was due 2 days after me so am formally sending this baby eviction notice now! Had a lovely eventing with the NCT girls last night - got some looks and giggles when 7 bumps walked into the bar after dinner! Mocktails all round!!! Off into town today to meet a friend for lunch and a potter. Braxton hicks have eased off a bit although not completely.
Have a good day all and looking forward to hearing RKB's BA shortly! x

Bunny, I don't think you are meant to get new prescriptions whilst pregnant. It's common for eyes to deteriorate during pregnancy and then they return back post delivery. You could end up with prescription too strong.

Porkchop- that is a bit scary! But better to be organised and not have to think about it later.
Ferbs- glad the Braxton hicks have eased off a bit. Enjoy lunch, hope the weather is nicer than here so you can have a wander round.
Rusty- didn't realise that you shouldn't get new glasses, I knew your eyes could get worse, but thought they would stay like that! Glad to hear they could get better again otherwise I would need thick lenses!

Ally – hope today is nice and gentle for your return after the time off.
Pirate Wife – hope you have a good day at work. Working out your bunting sounds a very important job to me - that should be on your list of priorities!
Bunny – glad mw went well. Hope you have a good day amongst the blood and eye tests.
Porkchop – glad I’m not the only one that has apparently started snoring with pregnancy, though H says it’s not so bad as it’s when I’m dropping off to sleep. Go you having everything for your hospital bag ready! I’m starting mine this week, it’s suddenly starting to feel a lot more real!
AFM – got back from our mini-babymoon late last night, had an amazing time but my feet are still showing the pains of the walking about places. So I’m thinking a nice day curled up with my feet up reading a book. We popped to Ikea on our journey back yesterday – got some boxes to organise cloth nappies and create some ‘drawers’ in the wardrobe, plus we bought a cot mobile. H had a play with that when we got home, I collapsed straight into bed, and he’s said it’s not got a way of attaching it to the cot – so going to have to try and figure something out for that! A bit gutted though that the lovely gruffalo sleep bag bargain I got off eBay hasn’t arrived, so think it’s got lost in the post the seller has been really helpful but if it doesn’t arrive today I think I’m just going to have to get my money back instead.

Ally.. Hope work isn't too bad on your first day back.
Pw.. I had the health visitor come round to introduce herself a couple of weeks ago. Was just an opportunity for them to meet and have a chat. She gave me leaflets and stuff about the children's centre and what's on there.
Bunny.. Glad the midwife went well...
Pc.. Very scary getting that bag packed but nice to have it done! I'm still snoring like a trooper too!
Ferbs.. Sounds like a lovely evening and a good day planned with lunch out!
Afm.. No news... Unsuccessful sweep yesterday which just hurt! Cervix is still thick and closed and head not engaged...
No plans today really... I'm totally bored now! Must try and keep busy!

Sapphire...missed you there... A day reading sounds lush... Glad you enjoyed your break...
Oh and baby out vibes for rkb.. Bless her xx

Come on baby RKB!
Ally boo to going back to work, not long till you finish though
PW ooh we need a bunting flash! I think health visitors usually work in PCT so tend to work from council office buildings or gp surgeries.
Bunny what everyone else says about the glasses.
Porkchop exciting stuff about the hospital bag! Hope physio makes a bit of difference!
Ferbs hopefully it will be your turn next!! 3rd tri feels like a waiting room, everyone waiting their turn to go through the magic door!
Sapphire is it a mobile you hang from the ceiling? Could you put it above the changing table/drawers? Glad you hd a good baby moon
Bexy get walking or something physical, will ease your boredom and may spur baby to start things moving!
Afm H is off today. He wants to put cot up to complete nursery, it makes me a little nervous though. We shall see who wins that one. Think 3rd tri tiredness is well and truly kicking in, I'm struggling to get through the day without a nap, not sleeping well at night, sciatic pain is worse if I'm in one position so agony if I'm on one side for a long period of time

Duck ford... Think ill have a swim today.. Don't fancy a walk in the rain... Get your naps in while you can.. I find myself needing an afternoon nap.. The restless nights don't help do they.

Just noticed I missed some of you earlier -
Ferbs - sounds like you had a great night!
Bexy - swimming sounds better in this weather and fingers crossed it'll get baby moving.
Duckford - have a nap! I've found I've ended up napping when just relaxing on the sofa. And yeah, it's one you hand from the ceiling but we need to check our rental contract as to whether we can actually stick anything up there. We're allowed picture hooks on the wall, so hopefully a nail in the ceiling will be fine, right?! Though we'd need to get some ribbon so it dangles further down than it would do at the moment. It doesn't have much length to it.

Quick hello everyone. Do I belong here now? I'm 27+4
Went to see a friend who has just had her 2nd baby (Friday) and it was weird. I can't picture the newborn bit again? It seems so strange. In some ways I think it's scarier than the not-knowing you get with the first one!?
PW - a lot of public health has now moved out of NHS under the new commissioning and is now linked with Council. Other areas have had this too, or they have been set up combined with social enterprises. Tbh, NHS is just a badge that doesn't necessarily mean what you would think iykwim.

Welcome to third tri IDC :-)
Just about got through the day at work, all I do is sit at a desk but I'm shattered! 4 shifts to go! I thought finishing at 34 weeks was too soon but I'm so glad I decided to - hard work being pg with 2 little ones to look after too
