sorry I haven't been around much but as we moved house on Saturday things have been crazy! Move went well and my cat seems to have settled in well (I was quite stressed about her!).
Still a lot to sort and the house needs some decorating but we'll get round to that I'm sure.
Baby-wise I haven't felt loads of movement, and they aren't getting stronger so I'm a bit worried. I also don't seem to have gotten any bigger over the last couple of weeks :/
Hello to those that follow! X

Morning Browny! Day off today so time to come online which is nice. Great news that you've finally moved house and you're settling in OK. At least it's all done now, not in 10 weeks time! I didn't feel much movement at all until 21/22 weeks, and what I did feel is easing off now. However, bump has changed shape so I thin baby has moved. They say don't worry at all about movements until 24 weeks, so relax!
I have my 25 week mw appt today. Nothing really to discuss yet, except I got a 28 week scan appt in the post that I actually asked the NHS consultant not to make. I'm changing hospitals (hmm yes, actually that's one thing I must do today) so wanted the scan at the new one so I can get to see what it's like, so asked if we could wait to book it until the change was made. Will ask mw to sort it all out today I think. Otherwise I'm just generally achy, fat, tired and constipated. In other words pregnant LOL!!

Browny - I'm pleased that the move went well and you are happy in your new home :) Also a relief about your cat!
BF - I hope the appt goes well. I'm sure they'll be able to move the scan to the new hospital for you.
AFM - Had another random dream last night...
I had the baby and walked home with them in a moses basket, as you do. I got home, which wasn't home, but a room above a shop to find my nan holding a frilly white gown for the baby. She asked me if they were a girl or a boy, at which point I realised I hadn't yet looked! As I took the baby out of the moses basket, it was then a doll. A chubby doll with long blonde hair! It was a girl. I remember being confused about it being a baby one minute then a doll the next!!
I think i'm going mad. haha!!
Hi to all that follow, I will do my best to come back on later xxxx

Browny I'm just sticking my head in to say I went into triage/antenatal at 23 weeks because baby wasn't moving as much. They checked various things and listened with the doppler, they didn't mind me going in at all snd said they'd rather check everything was ok than risk leaving it. Just in case you're worried and want to ask them to help?
After that I just checked myself with the Doppler up to 28 weeks, however after 28 weeks they'll put the trace on so I would again now go back in to be checked.

Browny - glad to hear the move went well. I echo what Imp said, if you're worried I would go in and get checked out. When I saw my midwife at 16 weeks she said if I had any concerns at all they would be happy to see me at the hospital as they would rather check and find nothing wrong than have you wait around stressing. I'm sure baby has just moved a bit though. Mine has days with loads of movement and some not so much. I'm starting to keep a record though to keep an eye.
BF - hope you app goes well today and that the change of hospitals all goes smoothly. We're moving out of the catchment area for the hospital we are currently booked in to go to but I have already discussed staying there as I work for the Trust so know this hospital quite well. Might have to change comm midwife at some point though, which is a bi sad cos I like her! Will you keep your midwife you see currently?
Boo - how weird! Random dreams can be quite funny although a baby/doll dream has the potential to be a bit freaky! I mainly seem to be having rudey dreams. Much more pleasant haha.
Hi Imp!! Will be seeing you in 3rd tri next week eeek!
AFM - Need to find a pregnancy yoga dvd to try and help with my ligament pain. Had to stop 3 times during the 10 minute walk to my car yesterday. So so painful. I'm also going to try and go swimming at least once a week as I'm getting no exercise whatsoever. Weight gain is likely to go through the roof if I don't. Boo.

Browny, just sticking my nose in to also say if you're worried please call the triage team. I've called them once and although I didn't have to go in they were really kind and helpful on the phone and didn't rush me through the call at all. They're there to help and are happy to do so. I'm sure everything is fine, but sometimes it helps to hear that from a professional x Glad your move went well!

BF - hope the appointment goes well
Boo - lol at the dream. I haven't had one in a while.
Imp - thanks, I have been feeling some movements but they are little and at one point they were getting stronger. Maybe they have moved? I have a Doppler somewhere so might dig it out and have a listen today. Also I have been busy so I don't think I notice movements as much. I'll defo get checked out if I'm worried but I haven't registered with my midwife up here yet, she's supposed to be giving me an appointment for in a couple of weeks time but she hasn't got back to me with a date yet.
Jonesy - I need to start up yoga again my back is getting a lot worse. Think I might try aqua natal too soon.
Hi Fig! Hope you are ok. Thanks xxx

Browny - do you have a maternity helpline number for the hospital you can ring? The one we have here puts you straight through to a MW so you can chat about any concerns. Sometimes it's easier than trying to get hold of your own MW!
BF - I hope your MW appointment goes well today.
Boo - that is a random dream! I rarely remember mine these days.
Jonesy - I know what you mean about the doing no exercise thing. All being well, if F goes to nursery on Friday I'm going to go to a local yoga class. I'd love to go swimming but it plays havoc with my bad neck.
PP - no need to apologise, we all have times where we have other things going on and don't get to post as much as we'd like. Feel free to pop in as and when you can x
AFM - both F and I are feeling much better, thank goodness! I'm done with feeling ill and dealing with a poorly toddler for now! No plans for today really other than deciding whether to re-book F in for his swimming class. I can't help but wonder whether that's where he's been picking up his illnesses. I guess it's one of those things though. Baby wise, things seem ok. Haven't felt any movements yet but it's still quite early and I don't expect to for a while with my anterior placenta.

Hi again, back from appointment now. MW happy that all is well, baby moving and responding nicely (kicking the Doppler away!), baby's heart rate and my BP all good, so that's great news. She's done the form to transfer hospitals, but says I'd better not cancel the original scan just yet, since it can take 3 weeks for the new place to accept me. They are a bit old fashioned apparently, but since I now have to stay consultant led, much closer than the alternative since the MLU has refused me. I'm sure it will all work out, meanwhile I need to see the mw again in 2 weeks to check growth and stuff. I'm keeping the same community midwife so that's easy at least. She's also backed my refusal for elcs, and says it should be OK to go into labour naturally, even I end up with emcs, since they can have bloods on standby for me. Scary it's getting this close tbh!
Hi to everyone who's popped on since I last posted.
Boo, seems like pregnancy dreams are just as bizarre as those pre wedding dreams!
Jonesy, me too! Planning to sort aquanatal and yoga classes but not got round to it yet. Must have a think.
PP don't worry, I'm the same. Most days I don't have time to come on and reply to everyone, so now I only pop in on days of work where I do have time. People won't forget you :-)
WG so glad you're finally feeling better!

Browny- I know that when I called 111 about a pregnancy question/worry they were absolutely fantastic which may be another option to put your mind at rest?
BF- it sounds as though you got a lot of things sorted at your appointment :)
Jonesy- I have booked onto 'birthlight' yoga which I am really enjoying and do a weekly aquanatal course in a local hydrotherapy pool- both of which I really enjoy and would recommend. Aqaunatal is especially nice just to be able to 'blob about' in the water!
Boo- your dream sounds very comical! I have also been having random dreams too. Just like 'pre wedding' dreams lol.
WG- Good to hear you are feeling better. Hopefully the sunshine today also helped?
AFM- I have my 16 week MW appointment tomorrow and fingers crossed the midwife will let hubby and I hear the heart beat. I am looking forward to the reassurance of hearing it as the 12 week scan seems like a long time ago. I also had nothing to worry about in a previous comment I posted last week about the headteacher at school getting annoyed children knew. One of the year 6 children figured out and now EVERYBODY knows! They even told my head- and she was fine about it all which was good. Lets hope this sunny weather lasts and I hope all of you have a relaxing evening.
