Agentblackcat - Hope you're back isn't too sore. Tiredness is always a killer.
AFM- I have my scan this morning. I will drop my oldest to school and then we will head off. Even though I have had several scans already it is still a worry (I have had scans in the past and still miscarried). I took part in a Bliss parental discussion group last night in London. really enjoyed it./ It was interesting to hear other people's experiences in different NICUs. I met someone who volunteers on the NICU we were in, hopefully I might get involved too.

ABC - I'm not far behind you (8 weeks on Saturday) and I also have mild symptoms. Although yesterday I felt nauseous and tired for most of the day. Hope your back isnt too bad.
S4 - Good luck for your scan. Is it your 12 week scan? Let us know how you get on x
AFM: Feeling ok so far today just a bit nauseous. Still tired from the weekend I think but slept ok last night. Going to meet a uni friend I havent seen in ages tonight after work. Hope it isnt a late one! Only 2 more sleeps until my scan!

Hope the scan goes well today S4. Glad you enjoyed last night, imagine its a great thing to be able to contribute towards off the back if something that was probably incredibly daunting at the time.
Glad you're feeling ok ABC. Hopefully your sore back is because you just slept funny.
I'm 13 weeks today! So tired, I could really do with a duvet day today. Haven't taken a day off at all since getting my BFP...I feel like I deserve one! Too busy though but did oversleep and miss my train this morning so I'll be late anyway. Oops! I've told my boss I'm pregnant and one of the girls in the team but think I'm going to officially tell the rest of them today (although they've all already guessed)! Finding that its getting harder to hide and I look like I've eaten all the pies!
Rang my nan and told her last night. She was really pleased and gave me some great advice 'everyone is going to tell you what they think you should do. Just smile and say thank you then just ignore them and go with your instinct' Definitely going to try and remember that!

ABC - mild is good, achey back is not. Do you normally have back probs?
S4 - big good luck vibes for the scan, let us know. Last night sounds like it was pretty special :)
Browny - have a lovely evening, and how exciting scan is nearly here
Flossy - 13 weeks, wow. You'll soon be tripping off to 2nd Tri, lol. Your nan sounds like a diamond! Let us know how telling work goes.
AFM - blubbed my eyes out this morning because something of my Gran and Grandad's (a little plastic picture of a girl praying they used to prop next to me when I stayed over to 'keep me company') has got broken in the moving for decorating. I thought it was in a really safe place on a bookshelf in a spare bedroom. I was very tired because we've moved bedrooms and I lost 3 hours sleep, so I just lost it. Poor hubby. All I did last night was moan and he did such a good job of taking things like my lamp, vitamins, book, iPad, dressing gown etc etc etc and setting up the spare room, and taking all my toiletries to the other bathroom etc and was so proud he'd made it all as comfy as it could be and I just moaned. Miserable b.itch! I need to be very sorry very soon lol.

Morning x. Couldn't sleep at all last night due to fretting about all this (see yesterday's thread), then finally dropped off at 6.30 am when OH got up, only to be woken by Jewson delivering wood so OH can build a log store at the weekend. Absolutely shattered, but not pregnancy related! Happy not to be having symptoms yet, although I've been getting odd little right sided pains (too high up for an ectopic so not worrying about that) almost like when the cat kneads me, but more inside. Weird.
Anyway, I have a friend coming round later, but not one I can really tell since she has less than zero interest in children and I'd rather tell others first. Will be a challenge finding an excuse not to sit and drink our usual 2 bottles of red when we get together for a catch up! Don't think she'll guess though.
25/09/2013 at 09:13
Any friends I usually drink with I told (I knew they'd guess), and a friend I've not seen since the wedding has guessed I'm pregnant (I'm not answering her FB messages) because she hasn't seen any wine-related FB statuses for a few weeks and is asking all our mutual friends!!
But yes, if she's really not in to kids it could fall flat and it would be much nicer to share with someone who'll be excited with you :)

ABC- Enjoy the mildness, it may not stay that way for long! I have been getting back ache too, hope it eases.
Section4- Good Luck for today. Last night sounds good. A guy I know did a charity run for Bliss, very worthy cause.
Browny- Glad your feeling ok. 2 days til scan, how many weeks will you be?
Flossy- i think i may listen to your nans advice :) Have fun telling people! I will be so glad when i dont have to hide it from people.
Counter- Blame the hormones! i have been quite moany too lately, I seem to get irritated easily..poor H.
Barfeoot- Hello. Hiding the not drinking can be difficult! Hope you can catch up on some sleep soon.
AFM- Had some nausea this morning and keep getting headaches so trying to drink more. Getting back ache in the evenings too but I suffered with that anyways. This week seems to be going quick which is good as next week is my scan :) I ordered a doppler the other night so should be here today or tomorrow.
Did I say yesterday we have had a full asking price offer on our house? Just waiting for the final comfirmation :)

BERTIE!! That's amazing! Well done. Make sure they've got funds (has happened to me & mine too often lol) but massive congrats!!!
25/09/2013 at 09:46
Flossy - bless your nan! I could have done with a duvet day today as well, but thats more because I hate my job!
Counter - sorry it broke :( hope you are ok. Your H will understand you have a lot of hormones going around inside you at the minute!
Barefoot - congrats and welcome :)
Bertie - great news, fingers crossed it goes smoothly for you! I'll be 7+6 at my scan. I was on clomid so I get an early scan to check for multiples! x
25/09/2013 at 09:55
Counter- Thank you :) She showed proof of funds yesterday, so all seems good so far!
Browny- oh lovely, I had a private scan at 7 plus 6. Bet you cant wait.
25/09/2013 at 09:56
ABC - mild symptoms are good, you know somethigns going on but don't feel too rough
s4 - yay for scan. Totally understand your nervousness though. UPdate us later
browny - tiredness is a killer. early night tonight
flossy - enjoy telling your work . i can't wait to, i know they are all probably guessing as it's almost impossible to hide.
counter - i'm sorry it broke. Don't worry too much about your hubby, i'm so so grumpy with mine too but it's part of their deal i reckon. I always apologise again at some point!
BArefoot - those pains are really common and you'll find you get them more and more. Its everything stretching.
Bertie that is FAB news on your house!! How exciting!!! Have you guys found anywhere yet?
Phew that was a lot, it's lovely we are so busy!!
AFM - tired and grumpy and so so over feeling rough ALL. THE. TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's 1 week until the scan and i'm already super nervous. I'm pretty sure i've felt baby move several time now. I know it's early but i felt P around 16 weeks which is early for #1 and i'm 12 weeks tomorrow so not unheard of to feel #2 at this point. I'm sleeping really badly which is not helping with my general grumpiness! H is going car shopping today so thats something fun to hear about later hopefully, i hate our car and defintiely want something bigger for 2. Will try harder to be cheerful.
25/09/2013 at 10:17
Hi AR- Sorry your feeling rough all the time. My scan is the after yours :) How lovely that your feeling movements already! I seem to be sleeping badly too, it makes me tired and grumpy! Roll on the weekend! Good luck with the car. No nothing yet, still waiting for something good to come on the market, estate agents said October is generally a good month so were hoping to find something then, fingers crossed.
25/09/2013 at 12:31
AR - lovely that you've felt baby move already!
Bertie - no I'm terrified something will be wrong. Its just taken so long for us to get this far and its so hard for me to stay positive and believe everything will be ok. This has been a long two weeks - the longest of my life. I still have a day and a half to get through! :(
25/09/2013 at 12:32
Hey all, sorry I didn't get back on yesterday after joining 1st tri threads, but thank you for the welcome!
ABC - glad the symptoms aren't too bad, and I hope the back improves.
Section4 - good luck for the scan today.
Browny, not long till your scan, I bet you can't wait to see the baby.
Flossy, enjoy revealing your "surprise" news! Sound advice from your nan there I'd say!
Counter , sorry you lost the picture. I think you're justified in being a bit narky when you're pregnant, hormones are all over the place.
Barefoot, *waves* I'm about as far along as you. Stretchy pains are very normal, I've been having them for a few days, and had them for a good couple of months last time.
Bertie, not long for you till the scan either. Great news about the house.
AR, sorry you're feeling so rough, lots of feel better soon vibes coming your way. Yay for feeling movements though, how exciting!
AFM, not much to report really. I'm feeling occasional bouts of mild sickness, but nothing too bad yet - I think it was 5-6 weeks with J when it hit, so not looking forward to that! I'm also thinking about how to hide being pregnant next month as we're having a team meeting with our German office, and we're going out Thur/Fri nights and everyone will be drinking. Work are paying for taxis too, so I can't even use driving as an excuse. I'll have to get my thinking cap on!
25/09/2013 at 12:33
**Thread jumping, sorry**
Spikey - you're on antibiotics for a UTI? ;-)
25/09/2013 at 14:28
The old classic "I'm pregnant but don't want to tell anyone" excuse!
25/09/2013 at 14:43
SG - Or you could be drinking 'Malibu' and coke? Or are others likely to get the drinks for you? x
25/09/2013 at 14:45
Pepperoni sorry missed you there!
Or, could you make your excuses to not go out after? Family emergency, unwell etc. x
25/09/2013 at 15:07
My recommendation would be that you've been getting some weird headaches so although you're alright today you're cutting out caffeine and alcohol for 3-4 weeks, and have booked to get your eyes tested too! :D
