sorry I've not been on for a couple of days, been manic at work. Hope you're all good.
AFM 13 days til scan day! Also found out at the weekend my SIL is pregnant, she's suffered from PCOS for 2 years had an op a few weeks ago and is now expecting so by Christmas there will hopefully be two babies in the family!

Morning everyone, sorry I've not been on for a while. I now should make the move to the 2nd Tri but wanted to post on here first.
MrsL - not long till scan now. Are you close to your SIL? Will be nice that you can both go through it together and the cousins will be close in age.
AFM - Have had a busy few days with work and sorting things out at home. Had a bit of a scary day yesterday as I started bleeding and cramping. Went to the hospital and they heard baby's heartbeat. They've done a few tests and I should get the results this Friday. I had to wait hours to be seen and I honestly thought I was losing the baby, it was horrible. I keep going over the past few days and worrying it's something I've done. I've lost half a stone in 4 weeks and I've not even been trying. Whilst I could do with getting rid of a few (hundred!) stone I'm worried it's hurt the baby.
Right, that's my depressing rant over! Hi to all who follow x

MrsL - not long until scan day! That's great news about SiL. it will be lovely to be able to share your experience with someone close.
PP - It must have been very scary for you, remember it's nothing you have done. Easier said then done I know!
AFM - not much to report, all close family and friends have now been told. Its been lovely to see everyone's reaction. Back to work today, risk assessment is being completed and thats about it!
Have a good day ladies, enjoy the sunshine!! xxx

Mrs l not long until your scan! That's lovely about your sil hopefully it will be a special Christmas. Mines expecting too she's about 6 weeks behind me and she also lost her baby last year when he was still born at 35 weeks so after that and k we are also hoping for a special Christmas.
Pp sounds scary. Make sure you look after yourself and rest if you can, emotions are very draining! Friday isn't long to wait so I hope it goes quickly and its good that they heard baby's heartbeat.
Boo it is great seeing everyone's reactions. Do your work colleagues know now?
Not much to report. We've told a couple more friends I think h has told all his as he couldn't wait! I've only told a handful as I want to wait for the full results. As I'm on Easter holidays I've got lots of household jobs to do over the next couple of weeks. Might do a bit in the garden today as its sunny and we have the support nurse from the neo natal unit coming round this afternoon as she likes to keep in contact and see us monthly. I'm also going to get my maternity clothes out, I can't wear normal jeans anymore!!

Mrs L that's lovely that you and your sil can share things together
Pp- gosh how scary, hope it has now stopped, as it happens I had huge bleed withisaac and honestly thought I'd loose him but he's absolutely fine, sometimes these bleeds are just random but bloody scary too big hugs
Boo - hope work goes quickly for you
Afm omg I'm not long up [blush], we all woke up at 9 totally unheard of as the 5 year old has never slept in his life and the 2 year Old has started getting up during the night so I was stunned nothing much to report really. Embarrassingly I'm now firmly in maternity trousers, at 7 weeks totally ridiculous. No idea what to do today, I reckon if I stay still long enough il fall asleep so need to have a think of what to do. We are away on Monday to the lakes with my mum, hoping to keep quiet really so il need to do pretend drinking as she'd guess straight away! Anyone any tips on what to do is it just a case of buying a schloer or something??? Arrrrgh!

Morning ladies (checks the clock that it is still in fact morning!!)
MrsL: That's lovely that your SIL is pregnant at the same time. My sister & I were a week apart last time & it's so nice to compare notes & then see them grow up together. Scans are getting closer.
PP: How scary for you, glad they were able to find the heartbeat. Hope everything comes back clear for you or it's something simple but non pregnancy related. Take care
Boo: Must be lovely to be able to tell everyone & have it out in the open.
Bunny: Enjoy the gardening. I've had to wear maternity trousers for work as by the end of the day normal trousers are too tight. Maternity jeans are just so comfy!!
RF: how lovely for the lie in!! No idea about the pretend drinking. Good luck with that.
AFM: 5 days till my scan, it's starting to worry me now. I had this last pregnancy as I was convinced there'd be nothing at the scan. I've heard the heart beat on my doppler & still having a bit of nausea but I guess until I see it on the screen I'm not going to believe it. Really wish there was some kind of reusable pregnancy test that you could use everyday just to check & reassure yourself.

Hi rf.lovely lay in! I'm in my maternity jeans now and am regretting that I didn't get them out earlier! Not much help on the drinking, but last Christmas when I was pregnant with k I got the rose shloer as I knew there was rose wine there and myself or h filled up my glass in the kitchen away from everyone. I just said it was a spritzer which is why it was fizzy.
Bk it is hard to believe it until you see baby. I'm sure everything will be fine. Its a very good sign that you have heard the heartbeat. How do you find the Doppler? I was thinking of maybe getting one.
Can I just say how amazing maternity jeans are! I so should have started wearing these at least 2 weeks ago!

Hi bunny: I bought a bundle of things from a local lady when I was around 13 weeks last pregnancy & that included the doppler. Not sure I'd have bought 1 otherwise. I was lucky in that I never had a problem finding it. I can't actually hear the heart beat on the monitor but it's registering the heartbeat & showing how many beats. I also had a anterior placenta last time so didn't feel any movements until around 24 weeks, that coupled with no pregnancy symptoms & a small bump I think it took until that movement to actually believe I really was pregnant & the doppler really helped relieve me. Hoping for an anterior placenta this time.

MrsL - how exciting about your SIL, O and my nephew have 18 days between them and have a lovely bond between them.
PP - big hugs to you, how scary. I'm glad they found the heartbeat and Friday will come soon enough x
Boo - I bet it's been lovely seeing everyone's reactions.
Bunny - I hope your gardening went well. I'm looking forward to getting into maternity clothes as they're so comfy.
TRF - that was a lovely treat, I long for a day when I sleep beyond 6:30am!
BK - your scan will come around quickly, though I do understand about the worrying.
AFM - I'm still having nausea and sore boobs so that's all good, I've been having a lazy day which has been nice as I've been so tired. First milestone tomorrow, what with knowing I've been pregnant for a week. Next milestone will be 6 weeks on Monday, and then I might start thinking about getting my booking in appointment sorted.
