I didn't manage to get on yesterday's thread so thought I'd make an effort to start today's.
Nothing much to report from me. Still shattered at times and still starving hungry at times.
Happy Hump Day! Hope everyone is well.

Happy hump day to you too. Hope you are not too tired today x
I'm quite tired, boobs are sore and i'm feeling a bit sicky. I have some crampy feelings too, but that might be the fact I am struggling going to the toilet!!
I cant get my head round the fact that last time I got a BFP I didnt even know yet at this stage...I'm still swinging from excited to terrified and waiting to get a letter about an early scan....

20/11/2013 at 09:08

What's hump day?
Fig good to see you here! I've got very similar symptoms.
Rod I hope you hear soon. Was it this time last week you called them?
Mon- nearly 2nd tri! Hopefully you won't be leaving us for long and we'll all be there soon.
AFM- the weather is scary here today. Got woken up by a storm battering the house, seems to have died down now but it's due back later. Lovely!
7 weeks today. Scan next week. This is where it gets really scary!
Symptom wise I am still feeling nauseous, hungry and tired. I now keep a packet of biscuits besides the bed for when I wake up at 4am, which is most mornings.

Just googled hump day, can't believe I've never heard of that!
20/11/2013 at 09:13
Imp, half way through the week, so you're 'over the hump'...roll on the weekend! :)
Monnie, woohoo for payday! Hopefully we'll see you in 2nd tri soon.
Rod, hope you're not feeling too sick.

Figaro - You have just introduced me to Hump Day as well!
Rod - Yay for symptoms. I seen that you have booked your scan for 10 weeks. Is there a reason you haven't gone for earlier? Just wondered, most places round here will do from 7 weeks.
Monnie - Will you be having the nuchal screening etc at your private scan?
Imp - Yay for 7 weeks. What day is your scan next week?
AFM - Not a lot to report, symptoms are still the same - sore bbs, tiredness, bloating, and occasional mood swings! I ended up doing a leftover CBD this morning, I haven't done any tests since my BFP. It said 3+ so that was reassuring. Realised yesterday that our early scan is in a Kiddicare store! Not a fan of that, especially for early scans.

pep= no, its only a growth scan so mum can see the baby, my NF is on tuesday at the hospital

Rod, I had mixed emotions in the early stages too, scared alongside happy, and that's without any background reasons to be. Big hug from me.
Monnie, what day's your scan, remind me? When are you declaring yourself 2nd tri, it seems to vary depending on what I'm reading. (My pregnancy book says I'm second tri now.)
Imp, we had horrid weather here this morning too. Sorry you're still feeling rubbish, I hope the biscuits are helping!
Afm, nothing much to report baby wise. The last couple of days I've been wondering if I can feel movement a little bit, but it's probably my imagination, it would be very early. I'm only feeling a little bit sick from time to time now, and am less exhausted in the evenings, so generally feeling much better. Excitingly I have the day off work today, AND J is at nursery, so I have a whole baby free day. (I cannot tell you how exciting this is, I've maybe had 2 in the last 17 months!) I've just had an hour-long bath with a book, and I'm heading into town for a haircut and some pram free shopping. Bliss! And I have no intention of catching up on any of the much needed housework, today is going to be a me day. Hurrah!

Spikey - Day sounds amazing, enjoy!

Pep, missed you there, yay for the 3+. Private early scans for me are in a mothercare which isn't ideal either, but to be honest I think it would make little difference to how crap you felt regardless of setting if the scan went badly. When I had my early scan at the epu it was full of people who were there because there might be something wrong, and the atmosphere was awful, I think I'd have been happier sitting in a mothercare! I'm sire everything will go well for you, and you'll not be able to resist having a peek at baby bits when you come out.

SG- i think its 13+4 is officially 2nd tri, but im just clinging on now a i dont want to leave haha !
i have my private scan on friday which is becasue my mums going on holiday and wanted to see the baby, then tuesday is my offical 12 week scan at the hospital and my NF test etc.
its a bit late and the world knows im pregnant we announced on facebook after my 11+4 scan

Just popping on quickly before I go to work. I'll try and get back on later to do personals.
The last 2 days have been exhausting; I'm glad to be getting back to the monotony of work! I've also got into a pattern of eating to avoid too much nausea - I need to eat a tiny bit as often as possible as I can't manage full meals. Other than that all is ok!
Hope everyone has a good day x

Pep, I have contacted the midwives and told them i am unsure of my dates in the hope they send me for a dating scan around 6/7 weeks. The plan is, and always has been, to have 2 scans before the 12 week. If my dating scan comes back later, say, 10/11 weeks I will bring my private one forward a few weeks to have it at 7.
Imp - I did an online self referral so I have no idea if they even got it! It was this time last week. I've found the contact number for the midwives office so I will give them a call and see if they have my name down at least. Maybe give them a bit of a sob story to push it through.
SG - I think the knowledge of what can go wrong is the worst! Never mind that I had a bad experience before. I find myself telling myself off for getting excited cos its too early. Which is silly. thousands of women have no issues at all, why should I be any different this time round?!
Fig - I'm actually quite hungry now! Wish there was somewhere to get some toast :(
20/11/2013 at 10:32
Ixia - missed you there, crackers were a god send for me when I was nauseaous last time! Though I dont think I can ever look at a ginger nut again!
20/11/2013 at 11:54
Fig, sounds about normal to me. I'm still shattered and hungry at times, but I think it was worse a few weeks ago!
Rod, getting an early BFP is exciting/terrifying all at once. Hang in there!
Mon, don't be sad! We'll all be joining you in 2nd tri soon enough, and who's to say you can't hang out a bit in 1st tri now and again to see how everyone's getting on? I would also suggest sticking around with us until you get your official nuchal scan. It's a 1st tri test!
Pep and Imp, how have you never heard of hump day?! haha!
Spikey, your day sounds amazing, enjoy it!
Ixia, glad you've found something to work for the nausea, I think the eating little and often is most people's go to cure!
AFM, not much going on, other than my 3rd runny nose and sore throat of the pregnancy. How annoying. It's like I actually have zero immune system. Makes me so glad I had the flu jab, because I think I'm actually catching every single bug I come near and if I were to ever get in contact with someone with the flu I'd catch it in a millisecond. I'm making plans to send Wispa to doggy daycare once a week until we leave Paris so I can do fun stuff like museums and Christmas markets. And in less than 4 weeks we'll be in Canada!! So excited for that I can hardly contain myself.
Hope everyone is doing well!
