Been buying stuff for the nursery now its finished, H bought this yesterday in Primark, doesnt really go with the jungle theme and is a bit girly but we liked the words:
Been feeling a little bit nauseous at times the past couple days, hoping it doesnt continue, also have this stitch in my groin/under bump area, will have to ask the midwife about it on Thursday. I'm sure its nothing though.

Morning PC, those words are lovely! Hope you feel less nauseus today.
AFM - I opened up to H over the last two days about how strong my preference is for a boy and how I'm worried how I'll react if we find out it's a little girl, he was so good bless him, went through all my reasons and have me lots of good reasons to want a girl. He's so clever, he should be a counsellor, or negotiate for a government agency or something as I feel a lot better now. I'd still prefer a boy, but am getting my head around the fact it may be a girl. I was chatting to my oldest friend yesterday (as in known her for longer than anyone, not that she's old) and she said she just can't see with a girl, and she imagine's I'll be a bit sick in my mouth everytime someone calls her a princess! At least I know it's not just all in my head.
Apart from that, all good, on my way to a work for a rest after 2 very busy days at home.

Those words are lovely PC. Hope you feel better soon. I get that pain every now and again and I'm sure it's a little person digging in.
Afm - spd is very sore today so walking round a zoo is probably not the best thing to be doing. Fortunately my parents are here to help. We're also getting rid of dummies too. Hope there's not too much whinging.

Missed you BG. I know how you feel about the word princesd but touch wood no one calls D that and everyone knows about my aversion to pink. Unfortunately D loves the colour. And loves pretty bows etc.
But your H sounds fab and I'm sure things will work out x

PC - those words are lovely. Hope you feel better today
BG - i bet you are glad you told your h now. Hope our day at work goes quickly.
Daisy - hope you get a chance to rest a bit today.
AFM- I'm doing good, still pretty much the same. I have the midwife tomorrow and I'm a bit concerned I haven't felt the baby as much as I should be feeling by now so I'm hoping she will listen to the heartbeat and put my mind at test.

Porkchop - hope the pain goes quickly - I get it if I walk too much already!!
BG - know how you feel - my little one gets called a princess every so often, it annoyed me to start with but now I just let it wash over me. Glad your H managed to make you feel better about it.
Daisy - hope the spd isn't too bad at the zoo. Good luck getting rid of the dummies. Can you give them to the baby animals at the zoo?!
AFM - getting bigger here - only 3 days until my scan. Other than that, all OK I think!!

PC - those words are lovely, hope the nausea doesn't get too bad for you.
BG - your H sounds amazing for talking you through your worries like that, hope it makes you feel better.
Daisy - enjoy the zoo, hope it doesn't take too much out of you.
PS - I'm sure everything is ok with the baby but will be good to see the MW tomorrow and hear a heartbeat to put your mind at rest.
Rhian - nearly scan day, woo!
AFM - am working in our London office today which is a pain as it's a reasonably long commute and absolutely wipes me out. H made me feel very disorganised last night as he has spoken to his work about paternity benefits and informed them of my due date etc. I haven't even told HR yet, although everyone else knows. I think I might be in denial!

Porkchop- they are lovely words. Hopefully the pains are growing pains or baby squashing you!
Bg- your h sounds great, it's good to have support like that.
Daisy- hope you enjoy the zoo and your spd isn't too painful.
Poppyseed- glad you are feeling ok, I'm sure the midwife will be able to reassure you.
Rhian- not long til the scan, how exciting!
Popcorn- hope your day goes quickly and the commute home isn't too bad. We'll done for your h being so organized!
Baby wise I'm good. Baby's been a little quiet the past couple of days, bit still the odd kick. Yesterday was the first time I've looked in the mirror and actually thought that I look pregnant and not fat which is good! Sorting out kitchen cupboards today so that should be fun. Got a tour of the maternity unit this evening, not sure whether to be excited or petrified! Just hope there's no one screaming loudly. I can't even watch one born every minute as they always look and sound in lots of pain.

PC - Thats lovely, good old primark!
BG - Glad you spoke to your H, I know what you mean about the whole princess/pink thing with a girl. Our neice gets treated like that and I hate it, that's part of the reason we didn't find out as I don't want people to start buying loads of pink stuff if its a girl.
Daisy - Enjoy the zoo, hope your spd feels better soon!
PS - Hope everything goes well with the MW and hearing the heartbeat puts your mind at rest.
PC - Hope you manage to get an early night tonight to make up for the long commute!
Bunny - Enjoy the tour at the maternity unit, how did you arrange that? Do you have to ask? I've not been told we can at ours.
AFM - Working from home today, waiting for a delivery from kiddicare and a maternity dress I've bought as we're going out for a meal on Saturday night. I changed my belly button bar at the weekend from my gold bar to a flexi longer one suitable for pregnancy and since I have it's been a bit sore. Anyone else had this experience? I wasn't sure whether to just take it out but I'm scared it will heal up and I'll have a "naked belly button".

PC, those words are lovely, how sweet of your H.
BG, your H sounds like a star. At least once you know the sex you can spend some time getting used to the idea, whatever baby is.
Daisy, good luck with the dummies - we need to do that here too but want to get potty training cracked properly first.
Poppyseeds, hope the MW finds the HB for you. Try not to worry about movements at this stage, it's still early days. I still find baby has quiet days now, but I think it's more when I'm so busy I don't notice.
Rhian, how exciting to be 3 days from scan, can't wait to find out what you're having.
Popcorn, don't feel disorganised, you've got plenty of time to sort work stuff out.
AFM, all good here. Cut out the fabric for my blankets yesterday although have now decided I might need to tweak them a bit, so might try and do that later. Not a lot planned today, collecting some baby clothes I've bought this morning, then might squeeze in a walk and bake some banana muffins as I've got some overripe bananas.

Missed a few!
Bunny, hope the tour goes well.
Twinkletoes, I had a flexi bar last time but this time I've just taken my ring out and left it as I kept catching it on trousers and it was sore.

PC, that card is gorgeous! *tears up *
BG, I’m so glad you opened up and your H was helpful. Gender preference seems like such a taboo subject even though I’m sure lots of women have these feelings. It’s taking me a while to adjust to the idea of not having a girl but there’s lots of advantages of both genders to focus on. If you have a girl it doesn’t means she’ll be overly girly. I liked bugs and lego as a kid!
Daisy, Hope the SPD doesn’t cause too many problems today, you have my sympathy. We’re going to the zoo at the weekend and realising I’ll be slower than usual with more rest breaks, and that’s without any ailments yet.
PS, Hope hearing the heartbeat puts your mind at rest. I understood that movement before 28 weeks is too variable to rely on as a marker. I’m sure everything is fine.
Rhian, Good luck for your scan! Are you finding out the flavour?
Popcorn, goodness, your H is organised! I don’t think you need to tell work until 25 weeks as I’m just sorting mine this week.
Bunny, Hope the tour goes well. I need to book on one too but will also feel nervous I think! Enjoy sorting the cupboards!!
TT, sorry can’t help with the belly bar, maybe just keep an eye on it. Skin’s supposed to be more sensitive in pregnancy so might just take some getting used to.
Margot, banana muffins sound delish! Have a lovely day
AFM – went to H&M last night as had a hormonal paddy last weekend at having nothing to wear! Got a couple of basic tops, another pair of leggings, some pretty shoes, two non-mat cardis, and the nicest pair of jeans I’ve ever had! Seriously considering just taking in the over-bump panel after pregnancy they are that nice! Tired today as the cat spent half the night hitting me over the head. Roll on the weekend!

Twinlktoes- it was mentioned by the midwife at booking in that we could have a tour, although our booking in was at the hospital. When I saw the midwife at our doctors at ky 16 week appointment I asked when we should do the tour and she said the sooner the better. Don't know if that's because we have chosen a hospital that isn't normally first choice for people here due to location, but it's easier for us due to where h works and where our families live. We just had to ring up the maternity reception, might be worth doing and asking if they do tours.
Margot- what size blankets are you making? You will have to give us a flash of the fabric!
Pirate wife- comfy jeans are a must! Glad to know h&m have nice stuff, I don't have one near me and I'm not sure that the next nearest had maternity things so would have to order online.

Bunny, they're carseat and pram sized, similar to the Morrck hoodies that you can get. Did them rectangular then realised that they really need to be square to work properly, so will do some trimming later. I've got lots of fabric left too so might see what else I can make! Will take a pic of the fabric when I get it out later.
