Sorry I didnt get on yesterday, H and I spent 10 hours putting down the laminate floor in the nursery! Would have been quicker but H cut through the lighting circuit which blew the whole house! Had to wait a few hours for the electrician which stopped us for a while. But its done now and I'm proud of us! H just has to put the skirting boards back and we canb do the fun stuff like ordering furniture and putting up blinds!
Baby wise I am 24 WEEKS TODAY!!! Woohoo, cant believe it really. Bean was a little quiet yesterday with all my rushing about so hopefully he'she will wake up today!

Sounds like how we do DIY too. I get to paint the kitchen today on my day off. Lucky me.
Sorry I just can't seem to post on a regular basis. But got time on my side today. H ahs taken D to nursery so I can get on here. Got our 20week scan this afternoon. Hoping to find out the flavour too. H has a real preference and I hope he's not too disappointed if it's not what he's hoping for. I will just be glad to see a wriggly baby. My anterior placenta means I have only felt slight movement and half of me thinks I'm just feeling because I know I should be and the other half is terrified that something will be wrong. My bump is definitely growing so fingers crossed I'm just being my usual pessimistic self .
Hi to all that follow.

Hi Daisy, I have an anterior placneta too. I hadnt felt anything before my scan and all was fine. He/she obviously got woken up by the scan as I felt it the next day! Dont feel too much now at 24 weeks, just dull thuds really, which is a bit pants, but try not to worry about it, sure all will be fine.

Hello! Not been on for a while either - sorry!
Porkchop - glad the laminate got done in the end. It always nds up being more fiddly than it's supposed to be!
Daisy - good luck with the scan and painting. Hope baby is playing ball for you to find out the flavour.
AFM not much to report - got a cot yesterday for the nursery. Thankfully never redecorated after last time so it just needs a few paint touch ups. Fancy a trip to Ikea to get some more bits but don't know if it'll be too manic!
Have a good day

PC, yay for reaching 24 weeks!
Daisy, good luck for your scan, will keep an eye out for your update.
Rhian, good job you didn't redecorate the nursery!
AFM, not a lot to report. Scan on Monday, potty training for Jacob this week so not going far, although H is at home which helps. Ordered a couple of the little lambs trial packs last night so will see how they go once baby arrives.

PC - Well done on the DIY, enjoy the rest of the buying/decorating!
Daisy - Good luck for the scan!
Rhian - oohhhh Ikea, we're going there to get the furniture :-)
Margot - Good luck with the potty training!
AFM - Had my 25 week apt yesterday but it was with my Dr not the MW, prefer them with the MW as they feel a bit more informative but they share the care so I have to see both. Everything was all well and he said I'm measuring perfect for 25 weeks. I'm 25 weeks exactly today, where is the time going?! When does third tri start? The baby book I have says 26 weeks but I think most people on here go around 28 weeks? H came back from his work trip at about 3 this morning so I'm pretty tired today after not sleeping too well as was excited to have him home. Counting down until 5:30 when I can go home and have an early night!
Have a good day all!
Morning all :)
PC - looking forward to seeing pictures of the baby's room!! Congrats on 24 weeks, not long now...
daisy - 20 week scan, woohoo and good luck!
rhian - Oooh a cot, got to love an exciting purchase!!
margot - good luck with the potty training! I've ordered a couple of those packs too (well i ordered one and my mother ordered one). These will probably be the only brand new ones we buy, i'm stocking up on ebay bargains.
AFM - narky and tired today. Been bickering with hubs for the last two days because he's such a total hypercondraic and I'm fed up with it. He always seems to have something wrong with him that he's moaning about and never asks me how I'm feeling or anything. I don't get bump rubs or back rubs or anything like that. In fact, the last two nights I've run him a bath when he's got home from work because i know he's tired etc. You'd think he was the pregnant one. Grrr.

missed you twinkletoes, glad everything is well and measuring perfectly! x

PB - you have my sympathy on the H front - mine is exactly the same, in fact, they could be the same person! I asked him to get out of bed last night to turn the light off and he whinged about his back hurting, huh? I have to roll off the bed after throwing my fat gut over the other side of the bed!!! Men huh?!

Morning PC, Woohoo to 24 weeks!! I’m counting down the days to 24 weeks! Hope the nursery is looking lovely!
Daisy, hope the painting goes well and good luck for your scan. Come back and let us know the flavour!
Rhian, which cot did you get? We’re just starting to think about furniture. Prices seem to vary greatly but not sure what features I should be looking for.
Margot, How’s potty training going?
TT, glad your appt went well. I thought 3rd tri was 27 weeks?
PB, haha my H is the same. He’s got a cold at the moment and is dying, apparently! Luckily he’s working away so I don’t have to put up with his moaning. I don’t get massages either. Need to teach him before labour though.
AFM – really not much to say today! I’m off to Tescos at lunch as apparently they’ve got a baby event on and there seem to be some mega deals on baby wipes. Thought I might use Cheeky Wipes but actually I’m really put off by having to wash them at 40c, and once a week at 60c. Usually mostly do economy/quick 30c washes so might not even save us that much money. Might have a look at baby clothes whilst I’m there too!

I got it from ebay, but it's a John Lewis one. We already had one cot, but as we now need two, went for another cot so the sizes would be the same in our small room. Should last for a couple of years then I'll worry about space!!

Porkchop – yay for 24 weeks! And for being able to start the exciting bits for nursery.
Daisy – I’m another one with an anterior placenta. I don’t feel that much, except lower down. I guess we just have to wait that bit longer. Hope scan goes well this afternoon.
Rhian – well, that’s saved you a job with the nursery.
Margot – good luck with Jacob’s potty training.
Twinkletoes – I had a feeling 3rd tri was around 28 weeks, but I could be hugely mistaken. Enjoy a nice early night.
Pombear – oh no, I know they say men can get some symptoms but that’s too much. Maybe explain to him how it would be nice for him to treat you to some pampering.
Pirate Wife – hope you manage to get some good bargains from there. We’re stocked up on wipes otherwise I’d be grabbing me some of them too. Though looking at changing table I might be able to cram a few more packs on there. Might as well, look at baby clothes – I always find myself drawn to them now.
AFM – our John Lewis packages arrived! Yay! Though I promised H I wouldn’t open them while he’s away so I’m being very good. Luckily I’m off to my mums after lunch… so temptation will be taken away. Looking forward to a couple of days of shopping and relaxing. Doing some baby shopping, but also going to Hobbycraft to stock up on some bits to make a friends wedding present. I probably won’t have much chance to pop and see how things are going, so hope you all have good weeks and those with MW appointments or scans – everything goes well.

He thinks that because he makes me lunches for work and stuff like that, that I'm "looked after" but it's not that straight forward. I'm sick of hearing how tired he is, how much he aches, or has a headache etc. Dur, me too!!!

Way too late for personals, but hope D's scan went well.
Finally, finally, I am out of the closet at work. Only 2 people admitted to having suspicions, which, if true, amazes me. Last time I thought I was a lot more discreet yet everyone seemed to have guessed. And I told them 5 weeks earlier before.
Just need to tell H's other nan tonight then it's all official. At. Bloody. Last.

Sorry for lack of personal. I'm on my phone but just wanted to update on the scan.
Went really well. sonographer was amazing. Explaining everything she was doing and looking for.
It seems we have a very healthy, wriggly little girl. Doesn't appear big. yet!
We're booking a 4d scan for a few weeks time so will hopefully get gender confirmed.
Will catch up properly tomorrow x

That's great BG! You can enjoy it now
Daisy, glad the scan went well! Lovely for another girl too!
03/04/2013 at 21:17
Daisy that's fab news, congratulations! Is your H ok?
I take it you'll be having growth scans this time too?
04/04/2013 at 04:44
H is fine. He's building a man shed in the garden for him and the dog ;) got another scan at 34 weeks and to see conaultant then. Hopefully it'll be only about 9lb this time x
04/04/2013 at 07:37
