Morning everyone! Sorry I haven't been on yet this week, I managed to leave my phone at work on Monday so the battery was dead yesterday.
not much happening babywise. Baby is very wriggly!can feel some movemrnts on the outside which is fantastic. H also confirmed last night that we are not going to find out the sex at the scan next week. He had wanted to find out and I didn't so to save arguments as we had the same reasons for finding out or not, we just hadn't talked about it. last night a friend text to ask if we were, i asked him and he said no, so I get my way! I did say I would be happy to find out the sex for the second whenever that may be!

I'd feel lost without my phone for that long, how did you survive!!? Great that he's agreed not to find out, when is your scan?
AFM - bonus in the bank, will tell my boss this afternoon, or maybe tomorrow of I chicken out today. Why do I feel so bad? I'm going to tell a little white lie and say that we only got the all clear this week, or is that awful? It's probably going to be far from a surprise for him, after I pulled out the ski trip and a few other things. Geez, I'm more nervous of telling him than I was my dad!
Had a lovely day with Alex yesterday, he was a real joy from the moment he woke. I wish everyday could be like that! Bump wise, I'm joining the rest of you and having to upsize my knickers! What a treat.

Bunny, glad H had agreed not to find out if that's what you want to do - we're having the opposite problem! Yay for wriggly baby.
BG, don't feel bad about telling your boss, I bet lots of people would have done the same in your shoes. Glad Alex had a lovely day yesterday.
AFM, feeling very tired and achey today - two long days at work and two tired and grumpy children as the end of term approaches. Swimming with Jacob this morning then we need to go to town to collect a parcel which I hope is my fabric for baby's blankets. Definitely going to be having a stop for tea and cake somewhere too! H is fishing all day today so it's just me until after bedtime. Baby nice and wriggly and bump seems to have had a bit of a growth spurt.

Bunny - glad you got your own way :)
BG - dont feel bad. i'd of def done the same as you.
margot - hope you have a nice day.
AFM - feeling fine. no baby news. at the midwife this afternoon. very boring at the moment x
27/03/2013 at 08:55
Bunny - no way could I survive without my phone for more than 24 hours!
BG - good luck with your boss, I'm sure he'll be fine about it - tough if he isnt really though!!
Margot - Yay for the end of term! Hope your parcel is what you want, I had a cross stitch kit arrive yesterday that I'm going to do for Beans room.
AFM - Am 23 weeks today, wonder what fruit I shall be?! 1st tri tiredness seems to be coming back, fell asleep on the sofa a few time this week and had to have the window open driving back from a meeting yesterday, bah I hate being tired! Last day at work today until next wednesday so lie in tomorrrow.

Bunny glad your both decided now.
BG I would not worry about telling him, it's your private life, but your right they may have akready guessed
Margot sounds like you've got a lovely day planned...enjoy tea and cake
PC boo to the tiredness
Afm I was bad yesterday and didn't even look at my assignment, so today I have to do it! (I'm on a paid study leave day from work too so can't do other things!). Still only light bubbles from baby. PIL are coming round later to take the double bed out of our guest room so it can be the nursery - we decided to put baby in the bigger of the two spare rooms as I think he's going to have a lot of stuff!

Bunny, that’s great you’ve got your way! I think the woman wins most battles in pregnancy to be honest!
BG, good luck telling your boss! I was nervous too. Think it’s only natural.
Margot, Ahhh tea, cake and baby blankets. Sounds lovely!
Twink, GL at the midwife
PC, enjoy your last day at work before a break. Sounds like you need it
DF, I had a dream about you last night!! You and Knees were singing in a concert and invited me. Random eh! Hope you get some work done today!
AFM – Not much to report really. Picked up 2 maternity dresses from New Look last night which I’m very happy with. One for work, and one for a wedding. Nice to wear something roomy & comfortable but looking undeniably pregnant these days!
27/03/2013 at 09:48
Twink don't know how I missed you? It will soon get less boring when baby starts wiggling
PW Jesus! That must of been a nightmare....singing is not my strong point and is not to be done in public! (Unless I'm drunk, which is unacceptable in my current condition )
right I really am going to my desk to do my work, not procrastinating on here!

Bunny - so exciting having a wriggly baby. And glad you and H have come to agreement on deciding the sex.
Bridget - I'm sure others would have done the same. And like you say, he may be expecting it already.
Margot - tea and cake needs to be done! Sounds good to me!
Twink - hope MW goes well, fingers crossed you get to hear heartbeat. That will cure the boring bits for a while!
Porkchop - hope you get through today without being too knackered.
Duckford - good luck with the work for today.
Pirate Wife - yay for dresses being lovely!
AFM - absolutely gutted I ordered what I thought was going to be a gorgeous dress from ASOS for a friends wedding in May, and there is nothing about it that I like! So I'm trying to decided whether I should try dress up the New Look maxi dress I got, or do I look for something else?! On a more exciting note, H and I were chatting about names last night. We have a list and already had boys middle name, Thomas, which runs through his family. But we managed to decide on a girls middle name, Annie. It was my nanny's real name, though everyone called her Nancy but I thought that would be too mean! So just need to narrow our list down of first names to match with those! :)

What a morning! We went to swimming, got changed and waited...and waited - before someone said the teacher had called in sick, and we should have been contacted. So I got a rather disappointed Jacob and me changed, and we went to town. Had tea and cake in Caffe Nero, got our parcel which was the fabric, then went to M&S for some food when Jacob decided to start running off and refused to hold my hand. Came out of M&S to find four fire engines, what looked like half the local police force and a big space cordoned off round the cinema and bowling with firemen with breathing apparatus on, cue a long walk back to the car park as we had to go right round the houses. And Jacob then refused to walk at all, so I had to carry him, shopping and the parcel!
Now I'm knackered and even more achey, and still have more stuff to do, so planning a rest and lunch, then might venture out before school run this afternoon to do the last bits.

Sapphire, I think I'm definitely going to dress up the NL maxi for the wedding I'm going to. Think I'm going to get these shoes www.next.co.uk/g382250s4 , a silver fascinator and some big jewellery and a nice shrug. Buying dresses online is such a faff. I'll probably still keep an eye on asos/NL for something more obviously 'weddingy' but probably won't be bothered taking the risk!
Margot, sounds like a second helping of cake is needed!

M - what a day! At least you got cake and firemen though!
T - hope mw went ok.
PC - I've been really tired today too, I put it down to baby having a growth spurt. You may notice a bump increase in the next week.
D - hope you got enough of your assignment done so it doesn't play on your mind. I'm sure you've told me before, but what are you studying for?
PW - I love NL for mat wear!
Sapphire - I struggled to find mat wear at ASOS, the only thing I kept was a couple of French Connection dresses. Hope you find something. I really like Nancy, but understand your concerns and LOVE Annie.
MrsC - sorry your appointment wasn't more positive, have fun with the big girls!

Forgot to update on my day...
Finally plucked up the courage to tell my boss at 4.30, half way through our catch up meeting. He was very sweet, congratulated me and said he hadn't guessed. Reassured me that he doesn't want to get someone in on a permanent basis and leave me screwed when I come back which is really lovely of him. We spoke a lot about recruitment, so much so I missed my train for the second ever time.
He's going to sleep on it but I think he wants to hold back on telling our CEO until after our meeting with him next week - which means more days having to squeeze this bump into clothes. I was hoping to tell the rest of the team at lunch tomorrow, so hope he decides to tell rather than wait.
Phew, phase 1 of going public is done.

23+1 here today and back to the hospital to have my 20 week scan completed. All fine but then a bit shocked to be seeing the consultant, have a bit of a tussle over ELCS (see my other threads) and have come away with a date for my section ... of course my head is now spinning and I am starting to doubt my decision but that is a whole other thread.
