I've been awake since 6 for some ungodly reason so thought I'd make myself useful and check in! Hope you are all ok? Maisie, any movement? Also baby out vibes to Gopher if still required! And hopethose of you still working are managing ok.
All good here, saw mw yesterday and baby is in "a perfect position" (finally!) and 1/5 engaged, exciting! Am all of a sudden measuring ahead and she says she thinks baba will definitely be bigger than average and is very tightly packed in! feeling very excited at the prospect of their arrival now!
Off to aqua this morning then two of the fellow big mommas are coming back here for tea and cake! Will pop back later for personals but hope you are all well.

Lamby glad baby is in a good position. Enjoy aqua.
I have been having contractions since midnight. Got up at 3.30 and had a bath then put tens on. They are still about 10 mins apart but quite intense. Just waiting for inlaws to pick G up for us. I have a horrible feeling i am going to have another v v slow labour again. It worries me i havent lost my plug etc as surely if i were dilating that would have come away?? Had a few tears this morning at the prospect of another 3 day labour. We shall see. Will try n update later.....
Sharing baby out vibes with Gopher.

Lamby - have fun at Aqua!! Sounds like things are moving in the right direction - great news that they are in the right position and 1/5 engaged!!
MM - exciting stuff, glad to hear that your contractions have settled into a pattern. I look forward to seeing your BA later today.
Baby out vibes for Gopher and anyone else who needs them.
I have my Mum & Dad coming for lunch today (they have been onholiday and so are passing on their way back down South), and then H and I are going to a classical music ocncert this evening. Had a lovely long gossipy lunch with the NCT ladies yesterday - I am so pleased they are a nice bunch and we all seem to get on really well.
I will pop back later to catch up

Maisie, ohhh exciting! Can't wait to here your BA. Here's some speedy labour vibes x
Alocin, enjoy seeing your mum and dad
Bexy, just remember only 3 days to go!
Well I've had a cr@p night. I think I must have got up 5 or 6 times in the night to pee and I just can't seem to get comfortable anymore. Toying with whether to go to town to try for a pedicure after drop off or just come home for a nap!
Hi to all that follow xxx

lamby...enjoy aqua and tea & cake today! I was up early too this morning, hope you get to sleep in tomorrow!!
mm...hope things speed up and we see your BA very soon!
Al..enjoy lunch with your parents and your concert tonight!
Bexy...only a few days left, yay! hope today flies by for you!
morph..enjoy your pedicure if you do go, you should do it if you can, treat yourself before your hands are too full!!
Afm...All fine baby wise, still getting lots of BH, getting stronger and more frequent but not painfull just uncomfortable so not too worried! Feel like this baby is trying to escape with constant pushing down into my pelvis and it feels like she's still sumersaulting actually hurting my belly slightly! I've been getting period type pains and have had a bit of a dodgy tummy -anyone else had this? Easy day today, my plans are resting and cleaning and not much else !
Anyway, taking the kids to school now but will pop back in a bit! Baby out vibes those needing them!

Lamby- hope aqua is enjoyable. Just getting dressed after a bath wears me out if I'm honest!
MM- really hope things get moving quickly for you and baby turns from b2b. Keep us posted.
Bexy- nearly there now!
Alocin- how very civilised ;-) Are your parents far away?
Morph- I've finally managed to get a pedicure booked in. Do it! I find wearing flip flops wreck my heels.
Libby- umm, so hang on, you're getting pressure and period type pains? Labour maybe?!
Baby out to everyone who needs them.
AFM- had a nice day out with S and my dad yesterday in the sunshine as mum has a virus. Came home and scrubbed the pushchair and stroller. Then had my work leaving meal which was nice. Got some sanctuary smellies, flowers and bits. I treated myself to chocolate tart for dessert and fortunately my pre-bed sugars weren't actually too high! Was due to have lunch today in a friend's lunch break but she's had to go up to London so footloose and fancy free! Might carry on my iTunes task.
Have a good day everyone

Lamby - glad to hear that baby is in a good position, I can imagine that it all seems very real now! Enjoy aqua and lots of tea and cake later!
Al - sounds like you have a lovely day planned, enjoy. Good to hear that your NCT ladies are nice and you all get on
MM - hope that things get moving quickly for you. Lots of baby out vibes x
Bexy - only 3 more working days to go,, bet you can't wait!
Morph - I sympathise with the restless sleep. A pedicure may make you feel better
Libby - sounds like things may be starting for you...
WH - glad you had fun last night and got spoilt with pressies. It's meant to be another glorious day so I would enjoy the peace and sit in the garden if I was you!
AFM - Our first NCT class was a success! There are 7 other couples, all about the same age as us of very similar backgrounds. H and I were happy and can see ourselves making friends. When we first introduced ourselves everyone was very frank and said that they had come on the course to meet people in the same position with the emphasis on learning about labour and babies second. Our course is run over 5 Tuesdays and one Sunday so lots of time to get to know eachother. Ours is the first baby due but it will be interesting to see what order they all come out at!
Have a good day all x

Lamby- Don't you just love being up with the birds! Glad to hear that baby is getting into position, it's reassuring.
MM- Wishing you lots of luck and a quick arrival of baby. Please try not to fret too much (I can't talk!). Looking forward to a happy update :-)
Al- Enjoy your meal and concert, sounds like a lovely day ahead.
Bexy- Roll on Friday indeed...not long now.
Morph- Pedicure and nap both sound good! I got H to paint my toes at the weekend and he wasn't bad.
Libby- Yep, I've had all those feelings too but no results so far. Don't clean too furiously just in case!
WH- Glad you had a nice leaving meal and were spoilt. Hope your Mum gets better soon.
Ferbs- That's great that your NCT group seems promising and with a bit of luck you'll make some useful friends.
AFM- 5 days overdue now. Midwife this afternoon and I guess I'll be getting that sweep. Come on baby!

I don't think anything is going to happen for me just yet as I've been feeling like it for atleast a week now, maybe just slowly gearing up to it? My section is booked for a week on Friday so either way I've not got long left to wait now!
WH...glad you enjoyed your meal last night! Enjoy your day today and try to get some relaxing in!
ferbs...glad you enjoyed your nct class, sounds like you will have a great time and great to make some new friends too!
gopher...hope the sweep Is successful and things start to happen for you soon! Baby out vibes to you and hope to see a BA from you soon!!
24/04/2013 at 10:09
Lamby - that's exciting! my MW never said anything about baby being engaged with me, so i don't actually know how engaged LO is. i should of asked her when i saw her last week.. Need to wait until next week now to find out! Enjoy your aqua class and the cake afterwards too!!
Maisie - Sending you lots of baby out vibes!! How exciting! Looking forward to your BA!! :-)
Al - Enjoy your lunch with your parents! Glad you had a good time at your NCT lunch too!
Bexy - I can relate to the work being manic! Jealous you finish this week! I still have another week to go after this one, although my Mat cover starts on Wednesday, so i'll have a pretty quite last half the week as she takes over!
Morph - Sorry you had a rubbish night. Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight! Enjoy your pedicure if you decided to go for one (i think you should - make up for the rubbish night you had) and then come home for a nap!
libby - You sound exactly like me! It does feel like they are pushing down trying to escape, although i've not really had much in the way of BH. I had one at the weekend that felt different to anything i'd felt before, but there was no pain associated with it, just a bit of a sore back. I was getting period like pains, but the Physio woman that i spoke to said it might have something to do with the way i was sitting and that i should try and change my posture. It seems to be working, but i do still get frequent tugging sensations right down below. Your date is my last day at work! How exciting!!!
WH - Glad you had a good day with your dad, sorry to hear your mum wasn't well. hope you have a relaxing day!
Ferbs - Hope you had a good Birthday! Glad your class went well too! I didn't really get to know any of the ladies at my classes.
Gopher - Sending you lots of Baby out vibes! hope something starts happening for you soon!
AFM - Had a really positive last antenatal class yesterday, came away from it feeling a bit more prepared for the labour process. Went out and bought a gym ball from Sports Direct for £6ish as well as a skirt made of swim suit material that i can wear if i decide to go with a water birth (i know all dignity goes out the window, but i wanted something that would cover my modesty a little bit.) I told the physio woman at the end about my hands hurting and she agreed it sounded like carpul tunnel syndrome and she gave me some wrist splints to wear at night to help it. They didn't work a miracle, but i think they helped a little.
My mum came over last night for a catch up and she said my bump looks like it's dropped a little bit. I thought it had, but i wasn't sure if i was imagining it. Got to work this morning and one of the cleaners who i chat to a lot said i looked like i'd dropped too, which is both exciting and scary. I know it doesn't mean anything is going to happen any time soon as your bump can drop weeks before baby actually makes an appearance, but it's scary (in a good way) to think that this is the beginning of the end!

Loss of plug is a good sign MM - hope that contractions have started up again and baby is on its way. Good luck! x
24/04/2013 at 16:18
I am just off to the hospital to get checked. One minute they are 5 mins apart then back up to 15 so going to see whats happening. Have a horrible feeling they will send me home but its been stop start for 2 days so want to see if anything is actually happening. Right now i wish i had opted for a cs :-(
Lots of vibes needed please ladies xx
24/04/2013 at 16:30
Oh MM, poor you. Sending you bucket loads of vibes x
24/04/2013 at 17:09
Just swinging by again quickly!
Hi to late-comers and lots more good vibes to MM.
Back from my MW appt but she couldn't get to my cervix to do a sweep. The positive things are that baby is on the left side now, not posterior, and is fully engaged so that's brightened my day. Seems cheerful that things aren't far off and will have another sweep attempt in a week if needed. Induction booked for 42 weeks if all else fails but really hoping to avoid that!
Have a nice evening all :-)

JB tentatively steps in to 3rd tri only to be met by a woman in labour ... eek. Good luck MM, really looking forward to reading your birth announcement very very soon.
I'm rubbish at personals btw, I read them all but as I am normally on my phone it is a nightmare to go back and check each one so apologies in advance.
As for me, well I welcomed the 3rd tri with yet another trip to the doctors yesterday. Back to being breathless, palpitations and dizzy. My friend is a midwife and saw me ont he school run and said I needed to go back in to triage (and apparently my case has been discussed and the midwives aren't happy that I was discharged from hospital last week and feel I should have been kept in). Anyway, hospital lovely and arranged for me to be seen by GP who did a repeat ECG and bloods, ECG checked over by cardiologist and the conclusion is that I have 3 minor things each of which causes breathlessness. Add all of them together and it seems pretty major, but actually isn't. I am basically to rest for remainder of pregnancy - which isn't easy when you are on your own with a 4 yr old.
Oh, and a few things have happened which have made me start to sway from the ELCS decision and am having another appointment at the VBAC clinic.
