Hope everyone is well. I slept ok, but woke up at 5am for the loo and although I tried rolling over and going back to sleep I was so hungry I gave up and came downstairs for food.

Hi ladies. Wednesday - weekend is closer!
BLL - what food did you find at 5am? :)
AR - half term will be here soon, that will be a good chance to recharge your batteries and have a break from the extra standing etc x
All okay here, really pleased with the work done so far by the carpenters. So much painting and sorting to do next. My poor husband, every day off sees more decorating/DIY, bless him. Can't wait for the weekend, I need more sleep :)

counter - your house is going to look brilliant! We've still not started painting despite buying paint for all the rooms! Have set a deadline of P's birthday party at the end of the month to have it all done by!
ABC - sounds like you aren't having a great time. Do you mean only 2 days next week until half term or only 2 days of half term?
Isis - HOpe baby gets moving for you. Being active is defintiely the best thing.
1 more week until half time. I feel like i'm counting the minutes!!!

BLL- Another early morning! Ha, I am always hungry as soon as I am awake.
AR- Sorr you was feeling emotional yesterday. Hopefully you feel better after a little cry. Hope work goes ok.
Counter- Glad the house is going well. good H you have there! Snap about the weekend.
ABC- Sorry you had a bad day yesterday. Can stress bring on braxton hicks then? Sorry I am clueless about them. Hope today is better for you.
Isisi- get walking up that hill! lol. Hope its not too long for you.
AFM- Had a hair cut last night so feeling a bit refereshed, booked in for my next one and colour a few weeks before I am due, doesnt seem that long away now. Off for a meal at TGis tonight for my friends birthday. I am so tired today, I really cannot be bothered with work, bad I know! Think baby has moved position as feeling different kicks since last night.

AR I keep telling my H I can't just sit on my *** all the time, he's just trying to look after me though.
Bertie, having new swishy hair helps, mine probably needs doing but it'll have to wait cos I'm skint lol
Nlh, oh god, I'm glad I'm not up that much. Have gone back to waking around 2am for a wee then needing another around 6am. I've had period pains too, more discharge and feel uncomfortable but nothing else. So impatient lol
Well the hill didn't kick start labour lol

Hope you are all well and not too many sleepless nights.
I won't do personals as on my phone. 3 days to my due date and absolutely no sign of baby arriving. I have no doubt I'll be going to my sweep on Monday. What can I do to get this baby moving?!? My new tactic is to book as many activities/plans as possible in order to invoke sod's law and have to cancel them!
Hope Rose and Sue are getting on better?

Isis how many weeks are you now??
05/02/2014 at 10:53
I don't think there's anything that truly works although I have heard v good things about acupuncture.
05/02/2014 at 10:54
I'm 37+1, well aware I'm being impatient but J was 38w so I've sort of got it in my head I won't go past that.

LD - walking is the one thing that every midwife I have spoken to recommends, on all others it seems the jury is still out :)

Had a little mini pregnant-lady meltdown before I left the house. My son's having some problems, the house is a sh!t-tip, we're behind on audit at work, the second person I wanted to employ has gone elsewhere as we took too long (again), our finance repackage at work hasn't fallen in to place quite in time so there's smoe plate-spinning being done, hubby has got 46 hours to make up at work by end March and is being messed around on his special leave (the ruddy Home Office can't work out how to *categorise* it), the decorator quotes are 50% more than we hoped for the last 2 rooms and hubby's time is maxxed out so he can't do it, I've put on 4lbs in a week, I've 'popped' a bit and lots of clothes that (sort of) fitted me last week don't fit me this week, I feel simultaneously sick and heartburny, I'm uncomfortable all down one side of my torso, I'm tired and I want to do relaxing things.
And worst of all, none of those things are worth crying about, they're all low-level or manageable and I know damn well it's just pregnancyl! Hormones 1 - Counter 0. :)

Hugs Counter! its easy for all of these things to get on top of you ! i have had the same over the last week just seems to be one thing after the other! but you need to try and not get stressed i know its easier said than done!
over the last week we've had
Tenant in our flat leave and only give a tiny bit of notice so now frantically trying to get in cleaned, decorated and find a new tenant.
My case against the NHS is going to a high court trial and i am being chased constantly by solicitors for signatures and authorisations on documents.
a tax bill from mr revenue for a company i worked for 2 years ago not paying my tax properly!
its been a crappy week! so i know how it feels that everything is getting on top of you! have a big cuddle! take a deep breath and remember that there is always someone worse off than us, even though it feels like EVERYTHING is going wrong x
05/02/2014 at 12:23
Hugs counter, don't underestimate the power of the hormones :(
05/02/2014 at 12:26
Oh bugger NLH, you reminded me of the £400 I owe HMRC and haven't paid ha ha ha! Thanks ladies x

So pleased for Rose - I hope she had a lovely birth and that all is going well.
Counter - I hope that you will be able to find some time to relax.
HUgs/vibes to those that need them.
Nothing to report here. Tried to set things off with a clary sage bath last night and then a good walk to the butchers this morning. Apart from a few tightenings and feeling uncomfy, it did nothing so I'm resigned to the wait. At least I know that I have at most two and a bit weeks to go. I see my midwife this afternoon and have a scan tomorrow as part of a research project, so should know more after that.
