a moany thread from me afraid. Have had a splitting headache all night, unrelieved by paracetamol, phoned the delivery suite and I honestly despair, was told by the mw 'o I don't know Iv never heard of it before' (as in following steroids) , so she told me to take paracetamol, told her I was up to my limit, so in the end it was clear she'd no clue what she was talking about and I asked her to get a dr, so dr came, said can be due to steroids but Iv to go in earlier this morning was meant to be in at 12 for steroids but she wants to see me as soon as I can get there (just waiting on sil coming for boys), she said it sounds steroid induced but isn't prepared to just say that over the phone iyswim. I am now worried sick about what the level of mw care us going to be like when I deliver, they were good the last time but honestly the last twice Iv phoned Iv been a bit at what's been said. I'm so near the end I just want everything to go ok and there not be any f*ck ups
bit gutted as had organised a day out with the boys doing loads of Halloween activities but my sil is now going to take them and I had to phone last night to add my niece on as she will be there too, my h has been on annual leave but has gone back to work today and now I wish he hadn't due to the headache, but hopefully after the hospital and my last steroids il be able to sleep a bit.
tbh I need some good hard drugs for my headache but that ain't going to happen now
sorry for the moan
hope the rest of you are more cheerful than me

TRF - that really doesn't sound great. I hope the Dr is able to sort something for you and your appointment goes well later. I know you're gutted about a missing a day with the boys but they will have a fun time with SIL and will give you an opportunity for some rest. Big hugs xx
Nothing much to report from me. Girly is kicking and wriggling loads. I was having BHs last night which just felt weird. I also had my flu and whooping cough jabs yesterday so my arms are killing me and I'm not feeling particularly great. Hoping to have a restful day, but H is at work for a bit. At least I put some treats in the shop that's getting delivered this morning.
I hope everyone else is ok.

RF: Hope it's a different mw you see when you go in & that they help you with your headaches. Reading your last post from last night I'm so glad to hear that your H has stepped up to the job & got lots done & that you are resting up. At least you're nearly term now so hopefully baby girl will be a good weight if she arrives soon. (Wonder if our babies will share the same birthday again!!)
DS: Hope the jabs settle soon. My flu 1 wasn't too bad but my whooping cough jab ached my arm for a week. Hope you get the restful day you need.
AFM: Last lazy daisy class last night (antenatal class a bit like pregnancy yoga & relaxation) which was lovely. Gonna miss the sessions but hopefully it's equipped me for labour! Despite what my ticker says I'm now gonna go with my dates dated from my LMP rather than the due date they gave me at the scan. So technically I now think I'm 40+2. Got an appointment with a different mw tomorrow as mine is on holiday. Hope she's supportive & accepts that I don't want a sweep or an induction. Really don't want to have to fight to birth the way I want to. In fact if she's really supportive I might try to swap as mine has been driving me crazy recently (including booking me a sweep for tomorrow!!). Also I asked her to get me 1 a bit later in the morning & she arranged it for 9.30 so that'll be fun getting up & organised & then getting myself across town in rush hour!! Thanks!! I haven't done very well at filling up my week this week so crazily I'm taking Isobelle swimming this morning like we usually do on Wednesday. I just know it's gonna be a nightmare but I need some sort of order to my week. Then we're off to get Isobelle some boots as her feet have grown. They cost £38!!! More than my shoes usually cost!!!
Hi to all those who follow x

Rf hope the hosp goes ok today and you don't feel too crappy after x
DS hope your arm feels better soon, enjoy the treats!
Bk enjoy your day, can't fe much longer left for you now. You seem to be very calm about it.
AFM not much to report here, the weather is crap today so meeting my sister and niece at the local garden centre, there's a soft play area for her so hopefully she'll enjoy it and my sister and I can sit and eat cake! Babywise no news, due date on Friday but had no signs of anything yet so I'm guessing he'll be late b we shall see. Xx

RF - sorry I've just been catching up from the last few days. Hope the hospital goes well and you don't have to deal with that mw again.
DS - hope your arm is back to normal soon. Good move on the treats in the shop, enjoy those when they arrive and hope you manage some rest today.
BK - hope you have a good morning, ouch to the shoes! I was looking up the price of shoes for M, though I'm refusing to buy any until she's actually walking and couldn't believe it!
MrsL - enjoy your cake at the garden centre! You never know, I had no signs with M until 39+6 when I lost my plug...
AFM - sorry I've been AWOL it's been a bit of a week. On Monday morning, I apparently decided that I'd not visited the hospital enough recently and fell down the last two steps of our stairs. So after ringing AAU, I headed to A&E - thankfully what they were expecting to be a fracture is only a sprain. But we then had to pop down for me to be checked over by the mws. They seemed a bit concerned that I was having tightenings at first, until I mentioned I've been having BH for a couple of weeks now. Both given the all clear and after another dose of anti-D, I was allowed home. Baby was still fairly quiet until the evening when it started thumping away like usual, I've never been happier to feel it whack me one. Let's just say, crutches + bump + 14 month old doesn't make for an easy life. I'm just glad H is here to look after M for me this week. Foot is slowly healing up, but I feel terrible as I'm meant to be on a hen in Bristol this weekend and I just don't think I can go. I won't feel comfortable trying to go about places with crutches!

MrsL: Have to be calm, baby will come when he's ready to! Just really hope I don't have to fight for my birth & they'll stop trying to get me to agree to a sweep or an induction (I know they'll both be suggested again tomorrow). Would be lovely if something happened sooner rather than later for both of us x
Sapphire: Wow, glad you & baby are ok, rest up & let your H look after you
Afm: What I said this morning - never go swimming at half term, it took us half an hour to queue to get in!!!

Sapphire wow sounds like you've had an ordeal recently, hope your recovery is quick x
BK Good luck tomorrow, I'm trying to be patient. Keeping busy is the key!
