Hi first of all sorry if this is women only but I'm posting on behalf of me and my girlfriend.
so she was about a week and half late for her period and she took a pregnancy test dippin it in her morning wee. After a few minutes we could both see a faint line in the results window. she then took another test the netxt morning (which I didn't see) and it was positive but ahe can't remember if it was faint or darker.
went he doctors that day who said she will be about 5-6 weeks pregnant but didn't re test and have an appointment with the midwife for a weeks time.
so she still hasn't come on now which is 2 weeks past when she was due but only symptoms is sore boobs, tho she thinks she may not be pregnant and it could be a false positive.
anyone have similar or can help Us calm down? or will the midwife confirm for us when we see her?

if she has taken two tests which have both come up positive I would be confident in thinking she is pregnant. I hardly had any symptoms at all when I was pregnant with my first so don't worry about that. I think it's highly unlikely it could be a false positive.
Why don't you take a digital pregnancy test which gives you the result in words? It really makes it real when it's written down. :)
Good luck anyway. Xx

Doctors and midwives don't test themselves as home pregnancy test are so accurate that they don't need to.
Agree with Gen, why don't you get a digital test to put your mind at rest? Or even just keep taking the regular tests - if she's two weeks late the line should be pretty dark by now.
I remember with my first thinking that we'd go for our 12 week scan and they'd shout at me because I wasn't pregnant at all! Unfortunately there's no real confirmation for you until that 12 week scan.
Aside from that, just tell your girlfriend to be happy she's not got many symptoms! Not much comfort I know, but lots of ladies suffer a lot in their first 12 weeks and it's not nice.
