Hey CC. My sleep has started to improve as I'm so tired but my first few weeks were awful! Did you end up buying anything? I also cant stop looking at baby stuff but resisting and aiming to buy 1 outfit after 12 week scan, all being good. Away for a wedding today so went out for a lovely meal with H last night and i couldn't eat anything. Felt like i looked like a right princess as ordered a starter , main, then dessert of things I thought i could eat but when it came I just felt so nauseous! Hoping I can eat the wedding meal today and worried I might look rude and not be able to face it. Really looking forward to the wedding though. Have a great day everyone.

We were naught and brought two baby grows lol they were I love mumy and a I love daddy ones they were only £1.50 each!
Hope the wedding goes well and you can manage some food!

CC - well at that price you couldn't not buy them!
Rio - hope your having a great day and manage to eat something.
AFM - had rubbish night sleep, just kept waking every few hours. Hoping for a much better sleep tonight. We've just had a look at the spreadsheet we put together before M of all the bits we need and working out what things we do have already and what we still need to buy. It's really early and we won't be buying anything new until after the scan but just to give us an idea of how we are going to spread the cost in the next few months.

Sounds like a good plan sapphire - We weren't planning on buying anything.. but even if thing's don't work out I have a few pregnant people I can give them too :)! We have done a similar thing and been threw what we already have here..just need to do a list of what my parents have at theirs and see what's left to get!

Very jealous of you not feeling rough yet CC, although it was about week 6 before it started with me so enjoy it now just in case. Hopefully you will be lucky and dodge it! Those baby grows sound beautiful
Oh Rio, that's rubbish! Are you being sick or just going off your food? Hope you enjoyed the wedding!
Sapphire, costing sounds very sensible. We are going to put by some extra money every month in the hope that it's enough to cover bits by Christmas. I figure that other than nappies, clothes, a cot, and a travel system, newborns don't actually need much (loads of wants, of course)...am I being really naive?
AFM - feel really awful at not making it on here regularly, sorry ladies. I know I'm lucky to have not actually been sick yet, but I spend most days feeling terribly hungover; shaky, nauseas, sooooo tired, and endlessly hungry. I got out of bed at 1pm today, are, slept from 2pm-6pm, ate, and am heading to bed now. I have so much work to do but it's all taking a back seat at the moment as I'm too tired to do any of it. Still feel incredibly lucky every day though, can't quite believe it! Less than five weeks now until I finish Uni for good, we have our scan, and can tell everyone. Cannot wait!
Hi to all who follow

Saffron - Dont feel awful at all we dont expect everyone to make it on every day... Hope your not feeling too bad today! Will you be getting a bouncer babies love bouncers and those playmats to kick there legs every now and then?
I love this being so tired atm I get into bed and pretty much fall asleep straight away! And it use to take me ages too fall asleep! Not feeling to bad yet but still only early lol.. got sone cramping though :)
11/05/2014 at 09:49
CC - oh no, heartburn sucks. Hope you find something that helps keep it under control.
Saffron - don't be sorry, you are one busy lady. Not long now until you finish uni, what's your plan for after? Do you have a teaching job lined up or are you waiting until after baby? If you didn't need to rest you wouldn't be sleeping that amount, sounds like you're doing the right thing resting up. Effectively yep, as long as you have something to take baby home in and to sleep in and food (I bought all the bottle stuff except the formula in a baby event just in case bf didn't work out for us - which we had to fall back onto so a good thing really for us), then you're good to go. We only had a few babygros ready for when M was born because we knew wanted to buy something pink/blue once baby had arrived and so not everything was neutral.
AFM - feeling a bit off this morning but a nice (decaf) cuppa seems to have settled me. Noticed that New Look had a sale on the maternity winter bits and figured, I may as well buy them now as I won't be able to just get away with wearing a hoody this time & I'd much rather get a maternity coat for £20 than full price. So that's ordered, along with some long sleeved tops (& some cropped top bras off Asda). I was tempted by some of the jumpers too, but put my sensible saving money head on!

I'm happy to share my list of bits and bobs at any point in the next few months, if anyone wants to see them just let me know. x

Morning all, just woken up and feeling lovely and fresh!
CC - I may get a bouncer but will wait until baby is a few weeks before deciding. One niece loved the bouncer so much that she wouldn't settle anywhere else (not a trap I want to fall in to) and my other niece couldn't stand it. For the first few weeks I will want him/her in my arms so don't want them liking an alternative too early. I remember the cramps around your stage, they worried me sometimes but all is ok, now at nearly 8 weeks I only get th a few times a week.
Sapphire - The council guarantees me a one year post, which I'm hoping to start in August and then go off at Christmas to have baby, and resume in August until probably January when I will have completed my probation...after that I'm on my own. I think the council would prefer me to defer the whole year and start next August but I really want to get going now. Are you going to find out the sex this time? We will be keeping it a surprise, so as you say it's nice to buy a few bits once baby has arrived. I'm heading over to the New Look website now, that sounds bargainous!
AFM - today I will be glued to my laptop, doing all the stuff that I haven't done the last few days. Not sure how much I'll make it on this week as school is hectic, we are out tomorrow night for our anniversary, and I'm back to work in the restaurant too on Wednesday and Sunday

Saffron - Glad your feeling lovely and fresh!
Ah that's a good point.. Will keep that in mind thank you!
Good luck with your work! and Happy anniversary for tomorrow!
11/05/2014 at 13:41
Saffron - that's so great that the council guarantee you a position for a year. Hopefully they'll allow you to do it how you want. Hope you have a successful day with all the work today so you can have a lovely anniversary tomorrow.
We both loved having it as surprise last time and I'd prefer to keep it as a surprise again, but H is thinking about it still. We have kept everything from M, so if it's a girl we're pretty good for clothes.. although not necessarily for the right season. So if we knew before we know we could keep them or sell them on before baby arrives. We'll decide nearer the time though.
