Hi everyone. no thread at this time?? It's so quiet on the first tri just now for some reason.
I had a great sleep last night and then went out for a 6 mile run. Now I'm doing pretty much nothing but lying on the sofa and trying to work on my Sky+ box which managed to get back down to 7% free again so tv day it is. Yay!!!!! I also plan to write some Xmas cards at some stage.
Pregnancy wise nothing much to report. The nausea seems to have all but gone. Im only 10+4 today so I'm figuring it's a bit early for that but maybe I should just embrace it?? My scan is 1 week on Monday. Feels like it will never come!!!!
hi to all that follow.

I don't know why it's so quiet either? I know I don't always start it as I'll be honest I'm still a bit scared if getting too attached and optimistic.
Sounds like a lush day for you. Everyone needs a lazy day from time to time, I hope you enjoy it!
I've just got back from Chester, we did some Xmas shopping and had some lovely lunch. Nice Christmassy day. I'm shattered now though and I'm watching Harry potter in bed and listening to the wind whirling outside!

Think we've a shortage of bfps just now, but hopefully we'll get an influx soon :-)
It's always quieter on the weekends too. I'm often busy with O so don't always get on early.
CA - I think after the run you can justify a lazy day...enjoy!
Imp - Your day in Chester sounds fab! Enjoy Potter!
AFM..O has gone to stay at my Mum and Dad's tonight as they haven't seen him tons this month...be nice to catch up on some sleep TBH! But not before a late shift at work...boo!! I can think if better ways to spend a childless night! Off to Winter Wonderland tomorrow though
Hi to all who follow!

CA - well done on the 6 mile run and good night's sleep
Imp - sounds like a lovely Christmassy day
Coco - hope the late shift at work goes quickly
AFM - starting to feel mildly unsettled tummy wise in the evenings. Had my christmas party last night where a horrible woman at work said I must be pregnant as I was having veggie soup. I said I wasn't, I just preferred the soup and she said she knew I was lying in front of 3 other people! Why do people do that? ? Bit odd being at the christmas party with no drink and making excuses all night and ended up being designated driver so don't get home til 1.30.
Week today until my scan!

Just popping on quickly before I go to work. My scan is booked for Christmas Eve :) I've asked a colleague to stay on at work in case I'm late in (due to be at work for 3pm, the scan is 1.50pm if they're on time and the hospital is 30 minutes away from work). H is very excited to tell everyone on Christmas day!
I'll try and get back on later.

CJ - I hate it when people do that....I wouldn't dream of doing it to someone even of it were really obvious as you never know people's circumstances etc either. hope you had a good night otherwise :-)
Ixia -Yay for xmas eve scans...what a fab time of year to be able to share your news!
Afm: Apologies for any dodgy spelling etc..I'm on a very bumpy coach on my way to Winter Wonderland at the mo with my Mum...girls day out! I feel a bit queasy today but prob more down to the lack of sleep last night. Evil insomnia! Hoping I have a pregnancy like with O, with no sickness etc!
Have a lovely day all :-)
Coco 4+4 x

CJ sorry that woman was such an idiot, what a twunt! My nausea started as an unsettled feeling too.
Ixia not long until your scan, good timing for Xmas.
Coco I hope you're not on the bus for too much longer. I'm not sure I could cope with a bus at the moment, I would be sick for sure. Enjoy winter wonderland.
AFM I got up at 9 and C made me a bacon bagel, was lovely but I've felt a bit ropey ever since. So I've come back to bed. I'm going out for lunch at 2, so only got an hour lying down but I'm hoping it'll be long enough.

Ixia - oooh scan on Christmas Eve - so close.
Coco - poor you on bumpy coach ride. Where are you coming from? I feel like Im the only person who hasn't been to Winterwonderland but I don't think I could face the crowds.
Imp - Hope you enjoy the lunch and get a good power nap in for me.
Yes, she's a strange lady at work. She's a nasty piece of work and saying it in front of three other girls who all looked very uncomfortable. I imagine she will go around the whole office next week telling everyone I'm pregnant. Last night had a fab dinner with my friend at the 1901 on Liverpool street for my friend's birthday and they adapted a couple of recipes for me to make them more pregnancy friendly but feeling tired after two late nights!
Also haven't heard from Kingston hospital yet with a scan date for Jan when I hit 12 weeks so going to chase on monday
6 days until my early scan!!!
15/12/2013 at 15:58
CA - a 6 mile run?! I couldn't have done that pregnant or not pregnant so well done you!
Imp - hope you enjoyed your lunch today and didn't feel too ill x
Coco - aww I'm sorry you've not been getting much sleep. Hope you're having a really fab girls' day out!
CJ - ah people are stupid. Ignore the silly cow, it's none of her business. I'm assuming you've had your booking-in appt? I had to chase St George's for mine last time round but then they sent a load of my next appts and my scan date through at once. I'd be interested to see how you find Kingston because I'm sort of wondering whether to go to George's again or try and get in to Kingston if they let me. I've heard maternity at Kingston is better and I might end up going to my mum's after the birth so it'd be closer. But I do work at George's so it's easier with antenatal appts.
Ixia - oh that'll be lovely! My H wants to tell close family at Christmas too, I'm 50/50 about it as we're still quite early. We'll see!
AFM - got a very grumpy A as his nap was interrupted by a stupid driver honking their horn loudly and repeatedly outside our window. Luckily H has taken him off to Sainsbury's so I've got some peace in the house! I could do some housework I suppose. Still no pregnancy symptoms but I remember them from last time and I'm not eager for them to start. I think if this pregnancy is similar to A's I'll start the morning puking over Christmastime! Joy! But I'm so happy that this is the second Christmas in a row where I'm pregnant that I'm sure I won't mind.

I haven't had anything! I wasn't too impressed with the locum doctor I saw at the doctors at surbiton when she told me I would receive my scan date within about 10 -12 weeks given I was already 4 weeks! Then she said "oh that will be too late won't it, well you should hear shortly". She never even mentioned booking in appointment to me! I'm going to give a chase on Monday.
I was given choice of Epsom of Kingston but opted for Kingston as of course closer. Appaently the maternity ward has just been done up, and one of my neighbours gave bith there 10 weeks ago and raved about it. Didn't realise you worked at St Georges!
Glad you getting some peace in the house! How far along are you do you think?
15/12/2013 at 16:34
Oh definitely chase. Last time I was living in Surbiton and the GPs knew they were supposed to refer me to George's but never did, so I had to run around and chase it and practically beg George's to take me because I wasn't living in the area (but was moving there halfway through the pregnancy). You should have your booking-in appt around 8 weeks I think. Not heard great things about Epsom (and Croydon is apparently the worst place ever... it's where I was born ha!) so you've made the right choice!!
I think I'm 4 weeks 5 days according to LMP, but possibly a bit behind that as I think I OV'd late.
15/12/2013 at 20:04
CJ- I'd also chase it up. Are you about 7 weeks now?
Saisi- I hope you avoid puking over Xmas, you never know you might get lucky.
I feel a little rotten today, not sure if it's pregnancy or illness.
15/12/2013 at 20:36
It is my last day in 1st Tri so thought I would posts for one last time!
CA - Hope the nausea stays away for you!
Imp - Hope you feel better soon!
Coco - Hope you enjoyed Winter Wonderland!
CeeJay - She sounds like a horrible woman - if every person that has vegetable soup is indeed pregnant half the men at my table at OH's work party must be up the duff!
Ixia - How exciting to be able to tell people on Christmas Day!
Saisi - Hope the sickness stays away for Christmas for you!
AFM, I am 13+2 today so will be moving on tomorrow! The sickness has got a lot better, I am just feeling very sick first thing in the morning but think that is more to do with the horrible cold I have at the moment!
We had our closest friends over for a little Christmas gathering last night, hubby made a slideshow with some of our honeymoon photos and with our scan photos at the end. Everyone was very pleased for us and it was lovely to be able to share it with our friends! Just my step siblings to tell next weekend, then we will be announcing it on Facebook at Christmas :)
Wishing everyone here the best and hopefully see you all over on 2nd Tri soon!
15/12/2013 at 21:37
Imp - yes, Monday is the start of my 8th week so going to chase up.
Vix - waves - have fun on 2nd tri thread!
