Hi everyone I'm back!! Had a lovely relaxing week in Menorca just what I needed. got back late last night and was hoping for a lie in this morninh but no such luck thanks to the neighbours dogs being let out to bark all morning.
babywise not much to report, I was 24 weeks yesterday! Whilst we were away it was my birthday and H has brought us a 4d scan as part of my present! He's been kicking away much more this week and H has felt him every day.
so how are you all? What have I missed? Xxx

Morning ladies, hope everyone is well.
Does anyone have any nice plans for this weekend? I'll just be getting on top of all the post holiday washing, housework, etc. Might order some baby bits too. Can anyone recommend somewhere for nice blankets? I want something a bit different but don't really know what until I see it! Baby wise everything seems fine, getting lots of movements.
MrsL - glad you had a lovely holiday. Happy belated birthday! Lovely idea about the scan from your H.

Hi WG did U have a nice holiday? No plans really for this weekend, need to catch up with washing and do a food shop. Popping over to catch up with my parents and MIL tonight but other than that just chilling before being back to work on Monday. Let me know if you find any blankets I want something different too! X

Mrs l sounds like your holiday was lovely. Happy belated birthday. that's great that your h is feeling baby a lot now, its lovely when you can share it with them.
WG have you got any particular baby bits you are looking for? I hope the sun is out where you are to help with the washing, its miserable here! What kind of blankets are you looking for? There's a few pages on Facebook that sell handmade ones, although not sure of the cost. I like crochet fairy as I want one of her comforters, but she makes star shaped blankets and I think Fifi and Delores make blankets I like their baby shoes!
I'm off to my second cousins 2nd birthday today then trying to do some household chores. Need to do a bit of work too but might do that tomorrow. Baby is back to wriggling a lot after a quiet day last week. Is anyone else really tired? I'm finding it hard to find motivation to do anything at the mo! Not sure if its pregnancy or end of term related!

I'm a total ttc lurker but on the baby blanets if you know anyone that knits this one is really cool and can be made in any two colours. knitty.com/.../PATTopart.html The stark colours also are supposed to aid vision development in very early weeks. I made it for a friend and baby loved it.

Mamas and papas have some funky blankets in their sale at the moment.

MrsL - we had a lovely holiday thank you. Was nice to have a change of scenery! Enjoy catching up with family tonight.
Bunny - At the moment I need to order a couple of cellular blankets and fitted sheets for the moses basket so I think I'll get those sorted and continue my hunt for a nice blanket! I don't really know what I'm looking for to be honest, I think that's the problem. I think, like RF, I want something colourful rather than pastel. Enjoy the party this afternoon and hope the tiredness eases.
Veecee - thanks for the link, those blankets are quite cool. They've made my eyes go funny lol.
Furmummy - thank you, off to check out M&P now.
RF - ooh I'd love to see a pic of the blanket :-) I liked the ones Fluffy Fish used to do but I don't think she does it now, does she? I have got one bookmarked from John Lewis so I might end up going for that yet. Well done on the eating better front, I really need to do the same especially after lots of unhealthy food on holiday! Sounds like you have some nice plans for a couple of weeks time.

WG - as has already been suggested M&Ps have some lovely bright ones in the sale, they also have cellular blankets in nice bright colours too, like coral, lime and aqua, I thought they were a nice change from the usual baby blues, pinks and lemon that you normally get.
I'll be back in a bit for personals!

A bit later than planned!
MrsL - glad you had a good holiday, lovely present from your H.
WG - sounds like you were going to be busy today. Hope you can relax tomorrow if you got it all done today.
Bunny - hope you had a nice day at the birthday party.
RF - my girls had the JL star blanket too, they have some lovely bits. Did you' manage to sort accommodation for commonwealth games?
AFM - my mum kept the girls for a few hours today so H and I did a bit of shopping. It was mainly for R's birthday presents but got a couple of baby bits in the sale. Mamas & Papas had some sleeping bags half price at £9.50 which I thought was a bargain, picked up a bright stripy blanket from there too and some cute sleep suits from Tk Maxx which were M&Ps too. We're starting from scratch with a lot of things because we got rid of loads so trying to get as many bargains as possible!

Oh yes and I also bought my first Christmas presents! I'm due on Boxing Day so I'm determined to be organised by September/October!

WG thank you had a lovely evening. Hope you managed to find some baby blankets
Bunny I seem to be ok with tiredness at the moment but maybe that's something to do with being on holiday haha. I am managing to sleep in longer in the mornings tho instead of being awake at silly o'clock so that's good
Rf I saw your scan went well last week so pleased for you. Hope you and h enjoy your meal
Debbydo sounds like you got some bargains!
I really need to pull my finger out and get things sorted. I feel so unorganised. Please tell me I'm not the only ftm like this haha. Got midwife tomorrow for my 24 week appt. I should get my matb1 for, shouldn't i?
13/07/2014 at 20:27
DD - thanks for the tip about M&P's bright cellular blankets. I've just ordered a coral one as I prefer it to the pale pink. Glad you got some shopping done and well done on starting Christmas shopping! I've bought one present so far, I'm also trying to be more organised this year.
MrsL - I'm also feeling a bit unorganised. I think because we have most of the big items still from when we had F, I've not let myself be too concerned about everything else but I'm now 27 weeks tomorrow and starting to feel like I need to sort things out! MW forgot to give me my MATB1 at 25 weeks but I'm seeing her again at 28 weeks so I'll mention it then. Make sure you remind yours tomorrow!
13/07/2014 at 21:19
MrsL - you should get your matb1 tomorrow, worth mentioning it to remind her though!
WG - I had a look at the cellular blankets when I was in M&Ps yesterday as I'd only seen them online when I mentioned them, they're a lovely colour IRL I could have spent a fortune yesterday!
