Morning everyone, what are you all up to this weekend? It's raining here but I'm relieved as the past couple of days have been unbearable! Was woken up at 6.30 today by the neighbours dogs again so not a happy bunny but feeling quite fresh. Going to have a date day/night with H today and meant to be having a BBQ tomorrow at MIL house. Going to clear some more of spare room too so we can paint soon.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend if I don't get back on xx

Morning MrsL! Hope the clearing of the spare room goes well and enjoy your night out with hubby tonight.
AFM, we all actually had a lie in until 8:20 this morning! I can't remember the last time I slept in past 8am. This morning is a lazy one at home sorting a few things out and then this afternoon I'm going to a friend's for girly catch up. Hoping it's a bit cooler today, last night was a struggle.
Hi to those who follow.

Mrs L and WG sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned. I have a friend over for lunch giving me the lowdown on being a mummy and a baby shower for a friend tom, so a surprisingly baby themed wkend but luckily a bit more relaxed than normal. Feel shattered as still only getting 4-5 hrs sleep due to cramps and hayfever and not slept more than this for weeks. Need to book NCT course. Ppl mentioned breastfeeding courses, are these national? The only think i've heard of is la leche league post birth drop ins.
18 weeks x

Ps how do I add a ticker? Been years since I worked it out on Hitched and cant figure it out here? Thanks

I didn't manage to get back on last night so I'll start there.
RF - wow, sounds like you have been very busy.
Bunny - we have a 2 week period which is going to be pretty busy (but exciting busy). M's 1st birthday, going to a wedding, on holiday to Colwyn Bay for a couple of nights - which includes our anniversary and then scan too. Otherwise we'll be having days out places. Yay for resting until September.
BK - oh no, hope the nausea stays away.
Saffron - I'm secondary but I did those bits on the first few INSET days. We had some free time then going in early and not going home until later anyway. Just the way I worked. Blank canvas sounds a lovely way for you to see the transition from where it was to where it is now. Exciting about the nappies and going to buy first babygrow.
MrsL - sounds like a lovely weekend you have planned. Enjoy and hope the clearing the spare room goes well.
WG - wow, sounds a fab lie in. Have a great afternoon.
Rio - enjoy your 'baby' weekend. My nct course with M included a bf-ing session, unfortunately mine was at night and us pregnant women were struggling to stay awake. Though the session was useful with different ideas for positions etc. To add a ticker - once you've decided on the one you want, you need to go into your forum settings, by clicking on your name at the top. And entering there. Mine would only update when I put it in Chrome, apparently didn't want to play when I was using explorer.
AFM - another good night sleep, only woken briefly by the storm, so much so I was really confused when M woke me, I was thinking it was only about 5 when I saw it was 7.15, I was pleasantly surprised! Raining here too today - with a lovely cool breeze, so will probably be a day of sorting baby bits out and working out what we still have left to do. I may actually get around to deciding the pattern for this chest of drawers. Lol.

Mrs l enjoy date night and don't overdo it clearing the room.
WG I'm also hoping its cooler! Enjoy your girly catch up.
Rio sounds like a lovely weekend. We did nct last time and had a breastfeeding class but missed it as k came early. We get an NHS one this time, just asked the midwife about the classes available although its women only. To add a ticker I click on someone else's to get to the website, then do as sapphire said.
Sapphire sounds like a great few weeks planned! Enjoy your sorting out, it does make me feel better sorting bits out!
Went out for dinner and cinema last night with h on a whim. Was really nice to relax and the cinema was air conditioned. Would definitely recommend on hot days! Got gardening and house sorting and cleaning this weekend as we are having a garden party next weekend to celebrate what would've been k's birthday on Thursday and to show everyone our memorial garden. Going to be a hard week I think so although I'm off work I'm not sure how much I'm going to get on. I won't go over to 3rd tri before popping back though! Its safe in 2nd tri!

monring all, mrs L how infuriating the dog woke you up
wg - glad you got a lie in
rio - i did nhs classes for bf
sapphire - the storm woke me up too, not the thunder, it was the fact my room kept lighting up lol
afm working all weekend, then a week of building furniture next week, baby wise all ok, except for the middle name wobble by me! trying to convince H to change
take care all

Rf hope its not too hot where you work!

Rio - what a lovely baby orientated weekend planned. The breastfeeding course I went to was run at the hospital. I think my MW mentioned it to me and I booked it for when I started maternity leave so probably around 34 weeks. Maybe mention it to your MW to see if your hospital does the same.
Sapphire - enjoy sorting out some baby bits.
Bunny - what film did you see? I'd love to go to the cinema, haven't been in ages. A garden party next week sounds lovely x
RF - oh no not a name wobble! Do you like another name now then?
I've just realised, this will be my last weekend in 2nd tri! Eeek!

MrsL: It's nice that the weather is cooler. Enjoy your date day
WG: Hope you enjoyed your lazy morning & lie in, see you on 3rd tri in a few weeks!!
Rio: I went to LLL meetings whilst pregnant & found it really useful to see real woman breast feeding (don't think I'd actually really seen women doing it) & learn about the possible pitfalls & what to do to help get round them. I'm also still friends with a lot of the women I met there. I would definitely recommend seeing if they have 1 local to you. I imagine it's far more useful to actually see it in action and asking women about their experiences than learn how to do it with a doll!! To get a ticker, either click on someones to take you to the website or google different tickers then copy the URL address into your profile. I can look into detail if you need any assistance!
Sapphire: Hope you get lots sorted today
Bunny: Take care this week & pop back when you like (although I'll be joining you scarily soon!!)
RF: I wrote on yesterdays thread that I might be interested in some of the boys clothes if you fancy putting them on the for sale site (pity you don't live closer - can't remember exactly where you are but I'm sure it's somewhere up north!). Hope you get your names sorted (wish I did!)
AFM: Not much to report, thankfully no more nausea after yesterday morning, hope it was just a blip. Nearly finished sorting out Isobelle's new room, hope to get started on painting it tomorrow then send mu H to Ikea to get the last few bits. Also need to start figuring out what I need for holiday next weekend (well it's not as if my hubby will do it!!)

o bunny sounds like a hard week, dont put too much pressure on yourself and i hope that you all have a lovely day remembering K
WG - no its a middle name wobble arrrgh!
BK - have TONNES of stuff, anything in particular you would like, im in manchester. i have loads of sleep suits, snow suits, little outfits (right up to aged 3 ) if you are interested in anything particular let me know, im working now till wednesday but can take pics next week
the 2nd tri thread sounds like a huge home improvement thread
19/07/2014 at 14:48
meant to say are you all still having warm weather? its freezing here and torrential rain, but then it always rains in manchester
19/07/2014 at 15:04
Thanks for all your help ladies! Who mentioned the Next sale (Saffron?). Just went and spent a fortune on baby bits. Got boy and girl and will refund 1 after my scan just in time for their refund policy! Will get sorting my ticker. Bunny that sounds like a lovely way to remember K x
19/07/2014 at 17:35
WG hope you've had a lazy day, we've been out to do some shopping and had lunch x
Rio enjoy your baby themed weekend. My antenatal and breasts feeding classes are both with the nhs, my midwife gave me a leaflet at my booking in appt about them. C
Sapphire good luck with the tidy up x
Bunny Will be thinking of you on Thursday xx
Rf hope you sort a middle name soon, we still haven't decided on anything haha
Blackkat not long til hols now :)
AFM we've just been to the shops, h brought baby a little check shirt like his own and a toy in mamas and papas, picked up a couple of baby grows in matalan too, they have lots of cheap stuff! Also booked our 4d scan for 4 weeks time :) xxx
19/07/2014 at 20:50
RF: We were lent lots of girl stuff for when Isobelle was born from one of H's cousins (bit of a family feud now so no more coming) so I don't think we've got much at all. Aren't going to venture into the loft to get it out what we have got till Isobelle is settled in her new room next month so there's room to put it. But have a feeling that most things we were bought were very girly. Poor baby boy, I haven't bought him a thing yet!! So would be interested in quite a lot. Just trying to work out if we're heading your way at all over the summer as postage is probably quite a bit!! My hubby has a meeting in Liverpool on Tuesday but I'll see if he has another one coming up, I know it's not exactly on the way but I'm guessing it could be (although so he might not be impressed at the extra drive!!) & yeah to home improvements!!
Rio: I've heard that most shops are great for letting you swap not only gender clothes but larger/smaller sizes. Isobelle is quite small (she's nearly 2 1/2 & mainly wears 12-18 & just into some18-24 months) so we're always getting bought clothes that are far too big which I've been able to swap! Just keep the tags on & don't wash (if you wash new things?) till you need them.
MrsL: The little shirt sounds so cute!
AFM: I haven't got quite as much done as I was hoping as after teaching my little drama group this morning & having a spot of lunch I had a nap which lasted 3 1/2 hours!! & yes, even though it's rained on & off it's still very warm here! Managed to sell the chest of drawers out of the spare room so only need to move 1 more unit (into the garage till I can sell or get rid) & the bed then tomorrow we can paint!! Last thing I want to be doing is trying to juggle painting with packing next Saturday!!

Apologies for the lack of personals but I'm on my phone. All's good with me. I managed to feel a hard lump in my bump, which I'm assuming is LO, as it disappeared a few minutes later but I got O to feel it before it went so he was rather excited. I've got the scan on Thursday and will be halfway on Tursday!
I hope you're all ok despite the heat, I'll try and get on during the day to do personals.
20/07/2014 at 06:39
BK - sounds like you've been making good progress sorting the room out. I'm desperate to start clearing our spare room but I don't think H is in any rush! Glad the nausea seems to have gone.
RF - we're still having hot weather. Yesterday the forecast was storms all afternoon but it was sunny and hot! Still waiting for a storm to clear the air.
Rio - well done at the a Next sale!
MrsL - love little shirts on boys!
DS - not long to go until scan!
AFM I had a really nice time with my friends yesterday. It's amaxing how just a few hours makes all the difference to how I'm feeling. They surprised me with a gift for baby too which was lovely, I certainly wasn't expecting anything. They also seem to think baby will be here before the end of Sept (I'm due 13th Oct!) Today we're off to visit H's niece for the day so it should be another nice day. Hope it's a little cooler though!
