Hello! Awake too, but I will doze off again. Enjoy time with hubby!
Lovely evening with Harry last night, including making headway in to clearing the 'wedding room' (nursery to be). Have more to do on that score today. Not much of a weekend as working tomorrow, but things are going well, there's 5 of us in tomorrow and I'm taking Harry also and will pay him to do some heavy shifting/filing; we're still on target for the shortest year end turnaround the company has ever seen. :) Baby-stuff all fine, nothing to report!

AR, enjoy spending time with H, and baby ballet. Hope the manky weather doesn't last too long!
Counter, sorry you're working this weekend, hope you manage to do some fun stuff in between.
I was also up fairly early this morning at 6.30am, but that beat yesterday's 5.45 am, so I was happy. J also slept through, which was sooo nice! I've got a friend coming to visit today who I've not seen in bout 6 months, which should be really nice. I'm just hoping I manage to stay upright for the full day, my back has been very sore the last 3 days, and I've been walking hunched over like an old lady by the evening, and wincing every time I move. I'm really hoping its a temporary thing, and it's not gong to be like that for the rest of the pregnancy. Got a few small wriggles from Attila yesterday, hopefully she's all good in there. I've got my 20 week scan on Thursday, so I'm looking forward to seeing her again.
Hope everyone has a lovey weekend.

Morning ladies, hope you've both dozed back to sleep now?
AR I hope you enjoy your day with hubby. It's not raing here yet, there is time yet though.
Counter, well done on sorting out the nursery to be- I hope you get loads more done too. I hope work isn't too bad.
AFM- got 9 hours sleep last night which is the most I've had in ages. Feeling well rested and I *think* my toothache is a bit better. Yesterday u saw both the doctor and dentist who both said I needed antibiotics, so I'm on amoxicillin- she said it was safe in pregnancy and everything I've read online said it is- has anyone else taken it? I don't want to tempt fate but it does seem to be working. No pain yet and I've been awake half an hour.
11/01/2014 at 07:26
SG I missed you there. Sorry to hear about your back, did you suffer last time or is likely just a blip? A painful one at that! Not long until your scan, are you finding out?
11/01/2014 at 08:18
Morning Imp, really glad your tooth is feeling better. I've not had antibiotics in pregnancy, but know lots of people who have, I'm sure they're completely fine. Have you any fun plans for the weekend? My back was pretty bad last time too, though it was a different place that hurt so I'm still hoping this is temporary.we had a gender scan just before Christmas and its a girl, but I'll be asking them to check at the 20 wk scan, I'm all excited about a girl now so I think I'd be way more disappointed if its wrong than I would have been if they'd said boy from the start. They got a pretty good view at the gender scan though, both H and I knew it was a girl from the scan before the sonographer told us so it must have been fairly clear!
11/01/2014 at 08:38
Sorry SG I'd not realised your had a gender scan. I'm sure they'll have got it right, particularly if you got such a good view. She mustn't have been feeling shy then?
I'm sure the antibiotics are ok, both the debris tabs doctor said so, but I just want to know if anyone's taken them- can't help worrying! I'm a born worrier I think.
11/01/2014 at 09:37
Crashing (although think its 13+4 when you're supposed to move here?)
Imp I've taken antibiotics for a water infection but not amoxicilin because I am allergic to it. A weeks worth and It was all fine :)
11/01/2014 at 11:00
Thanks pep, I'd say you could join us now if you wanted to?

It feels too early! My head says second tri is 14 weeks! Lol!

AR - hope you have a lovely weekend
Counter - you're doing well with the nursery!! Hope you have a good weekend.
Spikey - really hope you're back pain is a temporary thing and you don't have it all the way until the end of your pregnancy.
Imp - yay to long sleeps!! Glad you tooth is doing better. I can't advise on antibiotics in pregnancy but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have given you them if they weren't ok to take.
Pep - hi!! You're not crashing, you are technically 2nd tri now but take your time and move over when you feel comfortable. Looking forward to catching up with you again.
AFM - I've been quite on here this week because I can't really get on during the day when I'm at work and by the time I get home or after classes everyone is away and I'll be talking to myself so I just don't bother posting. Hope everyone is well anyway, I do tend to read the thread most days though.
Pregnancy wise everything seems to be ok. I bought a doppler off the lovely MissDeeDee and I got it last Saturday. I've used it every single day apart from one since I got it and I've got to say, its the best money I've spent. Its so reassuring and its really helping to keep me calm and enjoying things. Other than that nothing really to report. I can't really considering anything baby related like buying things or making plans until after my next scan. I guess I'm still in that head space that this isn't going to happen and I'm protecting myself.
I got my letter back about my NT screening today - I didn't get a number but it just says low risk so that will do for me. I'd assumed this anyway because I hadn't had any phonecalls to tell me otherwise. Its still nice to see in writing though. Another milestone passed. Phew

Hello CA, good to see you here. Great news about the nt, one more thing ticked off now! Glad the Doppler is helping you relax, it is me too as you know!
11/01/2014 at 15:27
Btw ca, you're an orange! :)
11/01/2014 at 18:21
Aaaaah Imp I know - I'm an ORANGE!!!! Lol
11/01/2014 at 18:27
Great news CA about your NT results! And woohoo to the orange!!!!!
Imp - what doppler is it that you have?
11/01/2014 at 23:00
Happy weekend all!
I hoe the day brightened up for you, AR.
Counter, how do you still have a 'wedding room?' I *think* our weddings were around the same time (not 100% on that), and while our spare room was a mess of wedding junk for about a month or two afterwards, I just couldn't bear to leave it like that for long.
SG, I hope you had a good time with your friend. I didn't realise you had nicknamed the bump Attila, that's amazing :). Also exciting about the scan, I've got mine on Tuesday and I've been counting down the days!
Imp, I'm glad you've got the antibiotics, they should be perfectly fine! Hope they've started to kick in for you, though with the tooth feeling better it sounds like They have.
Pep, come join us! Or sit on the fence of both threads for a few days if it makes you feel better ;)
CA, I'm like you, I don't usually get on until later and no one else is on, so I end up readi and running without posting. Weekend threads are different, though, you'll all be back tomorrow, so I can go ahead and post at 11pm! I'm glad you're leased with the Doppler and the NT results, I'm a bit jealous that you get to hear your baby's heartbeat every day, but I just know I'd drive myself nutty being unable to find ours and I'd worry non-stop, so I didn't get one myself.
AFM, nothing too big. 20 weeks scan on the horizon. Tuesday 9am, and we will be finding out the sex, though we will be keeping it to ourselves. I'll probably share online, though :) I think I have just the tiniest beginnings of a bump, and even Ant said today he could see it and I didn't just look fat! Result! Do you ladies recommend NCT classes? They're pricey, and my main reason for considering them is to meet other mums to be nearby, not so much for the content. I probably need to book fairly soon to get onto one, but we are paying for a house this month and while £200 is just a drop in the ocean compared to that, I'm not sure it's a justifiable expense.. Any other suggestions for making new friends nearby?

Wispaaaahhhhh. You made me feel bad :(
Ha ha. We got married in July, were you June? We got a BFP 2 weeks after honeymoon, and since then we've decorated lounge, dining room, bedroom, en suite and spare bedroom. And done various other bits. Plus work has been manic, evening and weekend working. Plus feeling so shocking through 1st tri and some of 2nd tri. It's the tiniest room and not somewhere we often venture, so just gets ignored, and I remembered why...
Couldn't believe what I found in there; boules, limbo, photo props, cake toppers, twenty million miles of bunting, hair flowers, various cake stands, the list goes on! Have sold/given away some already, but still a way to go. You can bet I wish I'd been good like you!!!
Your scan is so close!! You'll know whether the beautiful dress was a smart but or not, lol.
12/01/2014 at 07:34
Pep, waves, you can definitely be 2nd tri if yuo want to be, it's nice to see you.
CA, I'm glad you're getting lots of use and reassurance from the Doppler, it must be nice to hear the heartbeat every day. Yay for low risk too, and in some ways it's probably better just to get the risk at her than the percentages- I had a 1in 78,000 risk with J, which was v low, and have a 1in 4000 with this one, still low risk of course, but much higher higher than before, and that's slightly worrying.
Wispa, I'd definitely recommend nct classes. The content wasn't hugely more helpful than reading lots of books and spending lots of time on hitched/MD, but it was making mummy friends that was so good for me. J is 19 months and I see at least 3 of the girls from my classes almost every week, if not a couple of times a week. We spent New Year's Eve this year with 2 of the couples. I'd have been lost in the early days without other mums at the same stage. Hee, hee, yep, the bump has been Attila since day 1, J's bump name was Genghis (we were trying to persuade my mum that was the actual name to freak her out) and so we always said that number 2 would be Attila. The slight problem is that it sticks a bit, I couldn't think of J as anything other than Genghis for about 3 months after he was born!
Counter, it sounds like you've done loads since getting pregnant, don't feel bad about the wedding room. I still have a dress smooshed up in the room upstairs having done nothing with it, and I'm not sure when that'll change!
i had a lovely day with friends yesterday, and I think my back felt a bit better by the end of the day than the last couple, maybe this is what a day without a hefty toddler does for you! Shame I can't replicate the lack of lifting regularly!
