My first day on 2nd tri, I don't feel ready just yet and feel miles off the rest of you!
AR- have you got a short list of names? Any faves?
I had to go to the dentist yesterday after having toothache for 3 days. Not good as I've a phobia of the dentist. Anyway, it wasn't too bad and this morning I seem to be in a little less pain so far. I hope it continues, otherwise he said he'll have to take it out! Eeek!
Baby wise, I'm in limbo. No real bump just a bit of fat and no other signs of being pregnant really! I'm wishing away the next few weeks, get to see baby again in 3 weeks.

AR - our tree came down yesterday. As much as I love it and the lights, it's lovely when it comes down again as the lounge looks massive! Plus it was nice putting it away knowing that next time it comes out there'll be three of us celebrating!
Imp - welcome to 2nd tri! I remember it felt like a big gap from the 12 week scan to when I actually felt 'pregnant' but I'd say make the most if it if you're feeling good! I hate the dentist too. I know I should go, but anything to do with teeth freaks me out. Well done for being brave...at least you didn't have to pay!
AFM - it's my last weekend in tri 2...how did that happen?! I'm still in bed, but H has gone to drop his car off for a service and I'm meant to be collecting him so really should get up! It's my Nan's 90th birthday so off for afternoon tea today which should be lovely, and tomorrow we're potentially ordering our kitchen.
Baby wise I feel really pregnant now, bending over is tricky! I think it's because I'm only 5ft so bump takes up a lot of room, I feel like it's really grown over the last couple of weeks but not sure if it's baby or Christmas dinner! Being back at work yesterday was hard work and I couldn't really get comfortable. I still feel pretty good but am questioning whether it's worth working till 38+2 which is my current plan.

AR - glad you've at least got a short list of names. I've thought about it a little bit and have some girl names that I like and not one single boy name that I like so I need to get thinking (or hope its a girl!!).
Imp - welcome to 2nd Tri. So lovely to see you here. Boooooo to sore tooth but glad its a bit better today. Hopefully it will disappear on its own and you don' have to go back to the dentist. I'm the same as you - in limbo land between the 1st Tri nasties and actually having a bump. I think we should enjoy it while it lasts!!!
Flossy - Wow, last weekend in 2nd Tri!!! Hope you enjoy your afternoon tea today.
AFM - I'm in the limbo land of not feeling pregnant and not having a bump so I've decided to enjoy this bit although today I feel quite a bit of pressure in my lower abdomen and after I went to the toilet this morning I still had a hard belly that usually disappears so maybe something is happening already?? I still think its a bit early though. Planning to take the Xmas decs down today. I can't wait actually, I'm sick of them this year for some reason.
Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday

AR - we played a little game on NYE to whittle ours down (hubby wanted no more than 3 of each sex) and we were each allowed one veto, we wrote them down on bits of paper, girls names first, screwed them up and handed them to each other. We both eliminated the same one, which was great. Then we did the same with the boy and we'd picked the same again. Made us chuckle and was good fun. I'm happy with 3 now (until the next time I start browsing ha ha). Getting the decs down can be a heck of a job, but nice when it's all done. And how fab to get a stack of clothes! We've been given none because we didn't find out the sex. My sister is having one of each this month so maintains we'll have all the clothes we need, but hers are expected to be 6lb and I wouldn't be surprised if ours is a ten-pounder so she mightn't have finished with hers before we need them! Are you back to work on Monday?
Welcome Imp! I really didn't like crossing to 2nd tri, it felt so safe and cosy in first tri :) What's the toothache prob? Do you think it's sorted now? You've not got to have anything major done or removed? Hope it eases off. And if you're feeling fairly okay that's wonderful. I had about a month where I would almost forget I was pregnant at times as felt and looked fairly normal, it feels worrying but everyone's so different, hope you're able to relax a bit more soon.
Flossy - I'm dreading packing our tree away, it's huge and I've never really felt cosy in our lounge, little by little the decorating, new rug, new sofa, fire etc has a helped but I know when everything is gone I'm going to deem it 'big and cold' ha ha. Might spur me on to get the last thing we need in there which is curtains. When day is the move to 2nd tri supposed to be? Is it 28 wks? Tea with Nan sounds marvellous, that's a heck of a birthday. And ordering a kitchen, wooh! Something I've never done, exciting.
Like you I've sort of 'popped' again over the last 2 weeks. I wore a dress to work yesterday that in December it looked 50/50 whether I was pregnant or not but yesterday I looked very pregnant indeed. It's not even Christmas weight - only put on 2lbs! And am walking a little differently, feeling less comfortable. Baby's getting up under ribs on one side which I don't like. So am of a sudden working until due date seemed a tall order.
Our last Christmas event (in-laws over for dinner) has been cancelled so I shall spend today packing away decs while hubby sleeps off a nightshift. We'll have to eat the roast pork just the 2 of us then! Tomorrow I am going to finally tackle selling the dresses etc from wedding to clear the room out, and then pop in to work for 3/4 hours in the afternoon. Difference is that this year I'm recording weekend working and going to use it as holiday as I get nearer to due date, so although I don't feel like working it's all for a good cause.
Hope no one has any hassle or damage from the weather, it's still pretty nasty at times so take care x

CA - I don't think I've 'seen' you here since you were off to spread your good news... How did it go??
04/01/2014 at 11:26
Hey Counter. It went really well thanks. Everyone was surprised but really happy for us.
Hope you get all your decs down and packed away. Enjoy your dinner with OH, sounds nice.

CA - glad it went well.
AR - that's just rotten. Are there movements or positions that make it worse/better? Hope you get respite soon x
04/01/2014 at 18:20
Any movement makes it worse and certain positions but nothing really helps. Being on the bed flat helps my back but not the horrendous ligament pain between my legs. Its amazing how something makes you forget just how awful it is between pregnancies. It has to I suppose or youd never do it twice!!

Sorry to hear you're suffering AR, how was last night? Did you manage to sleep?
Counter- did you get your decs away? I'm so glad to see the back of mine.
Flossy I hope work isn't too tough for you when you're back. Eek to third tri, that's where people actually have babies!
CA- I'm glad to see you over here too! I think you've got a bit of a baby bump from the picture I've seen, and soon enough I think you'll be able to see it too.
Bad night for me with my tooth, was up loads in agony. I'm hoping for a miracle but I think I might have to give in and go back and ask for an X-ray- I don't want it ripped out without being sure it's that tooth that's bad.
05/01/2014 at 10:35
AR, how crummy. 3 months must seem an eternity :(
Imp - decs awayyyyy!!!! It took hours and I was knackered. But I put them away just how I wanted, in my little system, in the hopes of making it super-easy next time around!
So sorry the tooth is bad. That pain is one of the hardest to cope with, penetrates so much. Hope you get to the bottom of it and can get shot.
What's everyone up to today? I spent 6 months a little bit cagey about baby-ness, doing practical prep things but not really 'believing', IYKWIM. This (new) year sees me super super excited!! There's changes I want to make, decorating the nursery has changed to decorating the nursery, back bedroom next door to it, and spare bathroom. Oh, and revamp the porch. And we've a sort of small conservatory thing to one side that's got sports equipment in, now I want that sorted too, plus a tumbler in there. And I want it all done in 10 weeks!!!! My poor, poor husband. There's lots I need to do but the main burden will be on him, bless him! So I'm in the office 3-4 hours later and my new goal is 30/45 mins every day 'sorting' in house (doesn't seem a lot but with work it's not easy). Then Harry and I will watch the Partridge movie this evening. He got it for me for Christmas and we both love it. So hoping for a very productive day. So far I'm in bed watching Kirstie & Phil with the dog curled up on my bump! I love Sundays :)
05/01/2014 at 10:43
If I was you I'd stay where you are counter, it sounds like bliss! My cat is curled up on my knee whilst I watch Sunday brunch.
Did you decide on a tumble drier then?
I'm dreading having to have my tooth out, but at this stage I'll just be glad to have rid of the pain. They didn't really want to X-ray me last time unless it was necessary, I think it's now necessary. I just hope they agree. *sad face*
