Yay, it's the weekend!
Another early start here, after a fairly disrupted night. Yawn. Plans for today include taking J out of the house this morning so that H can get a some DIY done, possibly over to my sister's house for a play date with his cousin if they're free, then I'm hopefully doing a baby first aid course this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and special hugs for Leelee, I hope you're feeling ok this morning. x

SG, sorry you're tired after an early start. I fancy doing a baby first aid course further down the line. How much does it cost?
Good luck to figaro on your gender scan today, can't wait to find ott what you're having. My money is on pink!
AFM- went to ikea last night and bought some furniture for our bedroom. This means I can move some stuff out of the soon to be nursery. It's not baby related so it's not too early, I hope. Anyway it's done now. So today will be spent building that and organising stuff. I'm excited about it as after that the next thing will be the nursery.

Just popping on to say bye as I'm off to 3rd Tri today :)
Will still be having a lurk on second Tri to see how your all getting on though. Have a nice weekend all!

Just want to say I saw the thread yesterday, but by the time I would have posted no one would have seen it, so want to say thank goodness to LL that everything seems fine and you you got checked out!
I'm also hoping the lack of Monnie so far means she mig have gotten back into normal sleep pattern..
Sorry you had an early start, though, SG! Potentially busy day today for you, what does the baby first aid course entail? I have baby and child included in the comprehensive work course I did in the summer because I work with children, so just wondering if it's different.
Imp, have fun putting together your ikea stuff, take advantage of the pregnant excuse to not do any heavy lifting :)
Good luck in 3rd tri, Bertie!

SG-baby first aid sounds like a brilliant idea.
Imp- you know how I feel about ikea, so any ikea updates get a big thumbs up from me xxx
Bertie good luck
Wispa- no such luck I just had a flat ipad so couldn't log in, awake at 4am until about 5.45 then hubby's alarm went of at 6.45 :-(
Afm, I'm off to next today to spend some Xmas vouchers on my moosh, now it's been confirmed by 3 people she's a girl, I believe it haha

Spikey - Nice busy day planned there! What DIY is H up to?
Fig - Good luck for your scan! How exciting that you're finding out the sex, can't wait to hear.
Imp - You won't have tempted fate! My first step is going to be getting a bit more organised too / emptying rooms too.
Bertie - Eeeek! Enjoy 3rd Tri :)
Monnie - Enjoy buying your bab some bits!
AFM - I think I'm definitely starting to feel better which is great. I have had the odd thought of 'hope baby is OK' but trying not to dwell as still feeling rough enough at certain times of the day which has reassured me. H & I are off to get some bits today for our bathroom, and then visiting siblings / nieces / nephews so looking forward to that :)

Spikey - Booooo to early starts and disrupted nights!!!! Hope you enjoy your day and your baby first aid course. That sounds really interesting and useful.
Imp - hope you enjoy your furniture building and clothes sorting today. Very productive!!!
Bertie - hi and all the very best in 3rd Tri xxxxx
Wispa - hi lovely, I feel the same as you with the thread. By the time I get home after work and classes everyone is away and there isn't any point in posting so I really struggle during the week. Hope everything is ok with you and your little banana xx
Monnie - really hope you get your sleep pattern settles down soon. Have fun at Next!!!
Pep - hi lovely, glad you are starting to feel better but I know how that makes you wonder if everything is ok or not. Have fun shopping and visiting today.
AFM - I'm so glad its the weekend. Its been a really busy week at work and my fitness classes are super busy at this time of year so its hard going watching everyone. I went a run this morning with my friend. Really feel much better for it because I'm at the 'I feel fat' stage before my actual bump develops. Other than that I feel brilliant. I think I've been feeling some flutters this week but I could be imagining that.
Still (not so patiently) waiting for my 20 week scan appointment. I've got my 16 week appointment with the midwife on Wednesday so I'll ask her about it then if I haven't had anything through before. Other than that, we are trying to book a holiday for April when I'll be 27/28 weeks. Some people at work have been horrified that I would even consider going on holiday at that stage of pregnancy so will ask the mw about that too although I'm not sure I see any issue?!?!
hi to all that follow xxx

Oh and I meant to say to LeeLee I'm really glad everything was ok yesterday. I did post an update on the 2nd Tri thread yesterday but it was late on so not sure if it will have been seen. Hope you're taking it easy today xx
18/01/2014 at 12:50
CA - I think you need a doctors note to say you are OK to fly when you're at 28+ weeks xx
18/01/2014 at 12:51
NHS website says;
After week 28 of the pregnancy, most airlines require a letter from your midwife or GP confirming:
that you’re in good health
that you have a normal pregnancy
the expected date of delivery
Some airlines may require medical clearance if:
your delivery date is less than four weeks after your departure date, or
any complications are expected in your delivery
And it says generally airlines won't allow you to fly regardless after 36 weeks.

Ouch, Monnie, any chance of a nap today?
Pep, glad to hear you're feeling positive. Do you have your 16wk appt booked? Hearing the heartbeat is always great for putting you at ease? And are you considering any scans before your 20wk? I didn't, but probably would have if Christmas and new year weren't right in the middle to distract me!
CA, I don't see anything wrong with holidays at that point, but it will depend how you feel. If you have really bad achey hips/knees it might not be too fun, but my sister and sister in law both did holiday in the third trimester! It depends entirely upon you.
AFM, I went to an NCT yoga class this morning. Very little actual yoga or exercise, but nice, relaxing, and some good tips in there. Also ended with coffee and biscuits and chat with lots of other pregnant women. There were a few within a few weeks of me, so I'm hoping to form a couple friendships..
18/01/2014 at 13:15
Wispa- I'm on the sofa now with a blanket just about to get ready for a well earned nap I think haha
18/01/2014 at 14:21
thanks for that Pep, really appreciate it - I had a look on the NHS website but I didn't see that bit. Hopefully I'll be fine by that stage but you just never know. I can get a note from the doctors for the holiday if thats needed. Assuming all going well I'll be 27 weeks when I go out and 28 weeks when I come back going by the dates that we are looking at.
Wispa - your yoga class sounds really good
18/01/2014 at 14:27
oh I also meant to say - best of luck on your gender scan today Figaro xxxxx

Yey for the weekend!
SG, how was the first aid course? How you had fun at your sister's.
Imp, hope your bedroom is coming along nicely! Well done for getting your furniture from ikea last night.
Bertie, woohoo for 3rd tri!
Wispa, glad the yoga class went well and that you've met some ladies at the same stage as you.
Monnie, hope you had fun shopping! What did you get?
Pep, so glad you're starting to feel better. Hope you've had a nice day with your family.
CA, so exciting that you're feeling flutters! Hope your 20wk scan comes through soon. I'm planning a holiday at the same time as you, so also don't see any issue with flying then!
Thanks for the good luck wishes Imp, CA and Pep...baby's skull is measuring spot on for 16+3 and we're officially....TEAM PINK! So excited!! We've been out and bought some bits in the sales, none of it newborn but at least we're sorted for 3-12months! Lol
18/01/2014 at 17:30
Fab picture Fig. Congrats on your baby girl xxx
18/01/2014 at 18:12
Yay, Figaro, looking good! What did you get in the sales?
18/01/2014 at 20:51
Yay!!! Wonderful news xx
18/01/2014 at 21:04
Yay for team pink Fig! Is everyone who knows, and is currently in tri 2, team pink? (I know Wispa knows and isnt saying, but I didn't see the unedited post where you gave it away!)
The first aid course was good, it was run by the Red Cross, and organised by the nct (you don't have to be a member to do the course.) it was £25, 2.5 hrs long, so not hugely detailed but went through unconsciousness, stopping breathing, choking and bleeds and burns in babies and young children. I've done first aid courses before, but nothing aimed at babies, so it was good to have a refresher plus specific info.
