Hi banzy, hope she has a lovely birthday. Well done for getting H to give you a massage.
AFM- last Saturday at work! 5 oclock cannot come quick enough. Then only Monday left and 5 weeks until DD. Hoping today goes quickly and smoothly.
Baby out vibes for noggin.

Banzy hope I enjoys her birthday and you manage to get everything ready for her party
MS hope work goes quickly. Not long left until you can put your feet up
AFM off to clarks this morning to return Ws shoes I bought last week but are too small. Also need to buy some more big giant knickers for my hospital bag and then pick a suitcase up from my mums to pack it in. Then I think I may well be ready. Starting to feel very sad that I won't be pregnant for much longer. I don't feel anywhere near uncomfortable or huge like last time, I feel like I should have another two months to go! I'm fully expecting a little 7lb baby so will be very shocked if I get another big one. 19 days left to go :(
Baby out vibes to Nog

MS- hope you have a smooth day that flies by!
jellytot- you must be getting excited now?!
AFM- spent ages in the kitchen y.day but its was worth is as all i have to do this morning is get myself ready, plump some cushions and lay the table!
After finidng another changing bag I liked y.day, i went to compare them both online and the mothercare had £10 so I ordered that one! Well, this one www.mothercare.com/.../495724,default,pd.html
Another quiet morning movement wise until H put his hand on m bump and got a couple of big kicks! He is trying to convince me there is no connection but im sure the baby know when its his hand there as they always go crazy! :-)
Baby out vibes Noggin!!

Banzy, enjoy your day - look forward to seeing the Mr Bump cake! Hope the back ache stays away.
MS, hurrah for nearly finishing work! Have you got any plans for maternity leave pre-baby?
JT, just 19 days left, that doesn't sound like long at all! At least you know you're ready though.
MrsB, enjoy your day as well - hope you're not too tired from your busy kitchen day and can relax and enjoy the celebrations.
AFM, had my homebirth assessment yesterday as it was fab, the MW was really pro-hb and had nothing but positive stories. She also went through in detail how they would deal with any kind of transfer, including how they would communicate it to me and hubby which was useful to know. There have always been 2 EDDs recorded in my notes, one from a scan at 8+1 (which they dated ahead at 8+4, giving me EDD of 19th October) and one from my CVS scan at 11+0 (which they dated as 10+5, giving me EDD of 24th October). Like me, my MWs all get frustrated by the arbitrary rules about when they are 'allowed' to attend me as a homebirth so we've all deliberately kept both dates in there, meaning that according to the early dates I'm 37 weeks today and they can attend me from now onwards At the other end, if I go 'overdue' we'll switch to the later EDD so that I'm not counted as 'overdue' for an extra 5 days My real EDD that I personally work to is based on my ovulation date and is between the two.
This morning we've been tap shopping for the new bath and H is busily removing the old bath now. Hopefully the new (wide!) one will be fitted by the end of the weekend. I so look forward to being able to have a bath! The old one was too narrow to be comfy pre-pregnancy but it's been unusable since about 22 weeks! My mum is also back from a week at my sister's today; I've never been really close to her, but I've missed her this week and am looking forward to going shopping for all the last baby bits next week.

Ooh mrsBass I like that changing bag. Do you know what it's made from- ie is it waterproof material or just fabric? I'm after a new changing bag but want to make sure its one that will withstand be doing a lot of walking in the rain!
Mrs 50s great news about the HB visit. Hope your bath is in soon so you can enjoy a lovely soak

jellytot, it was only yesterday I had a play with it in the shop but I can;t remember, I dont think it was fabric but not sure about waterproofness! I will report back once it has arrived!
Mrs 50s- Great news about the assessment!! You have made really want a bath now, ours is on the small side but i can just about squeeze in there!!
Had a lovely lunch with my brother and his family, even though they brought their dog, grrr. Im not a dog fan but this one jumps all over the sofa and even ran upstairs and onto our bed!!
Ive had a bit of a tummy ache today. Started off being a bit uncomfortable, then I felt a bit sick now i feel uncomfortable again, I wonder if there is a foot in an awkward place!

Eurgh! The bump pain didn't go away y.day afternoon :-( I had a pain either side of my bump that felt like period pain and was constant for 3-4 hours. was really uncomfortable and had to sit very upright on the sofa and was a pain everytime I tried to get up. bump felt really hard too. When I went to bed I had a really sore lower back and couldnt lie on my back. I woke up everytime i turned over in the night as it was uncomfortable to be on my back and as i rolled my bump really ached.
i was almost as if bump grew lots really quickly in the afternoon then i wasnt used to the extra weight.
Is it too early for Braxton Hicks? It was probably just stretching or trapped wind. I kept thinking that contractions will be 50 times worse, man up!

Only just managed to get back on, it's been a really busy few days!!
Mrs Bass - hope that the pain has subsided today, not sure how early you can get Braxton hicks, it's possible that's what it could have been.
I has had a lovely birthday weekend and loved her Mr Bump cake. I am absolutely knackered now and looking forward to a relaxing evening. My back has been hurting a lot with being so busy and I've been getting some painful kicks, maybe have a day at home tomorrow. I has plenty of toys to play with so I might get away with more sitting on the sofa!
Here's a flash of the cake

Thanks Banzy, pain has subsided today but still been uncomfortable!
The cake looks amazing! Lucky I!!
29/09/2013 at 20:39
Banzy - love the cake!!
Mrs Bass - could have been braxton hicks, apparently they actually start at about 6 weeks pregnant, and it varies from woman to woman as to when they are actually felt (some never feel them, some feel them really early). The bump going hard sounds probable!
Our new bath is fitted, it looks amazing but I'm banned from it until the sealant has set (tomorrow night). Can't wait!
