I'm still here! Thankfully believe it or not! Had an absolute nightmare last night trying to fit the car seat in the car to practice again, and for some reason, we couldn't get it in without great difficulty. Cue me panicking that we wouldn't be able to leave the hospital if we don't have a car seat that we can fit.
So! Up early, and off to the pram centre to ask them to show us again how the seat goes in. Failing that, we'll be buying a new one.
Hope all is well with everyone!
Baby out vibes to those who need them and Congratulations again to Morph on the arrival of Martha!

Morning rkb! Hope you get the seat sorted.. Think we better have another practise with ours!
Afm.. Awake on the hour last night for numerous wee stops! No sign of any changes here... Pedicure this morning but no other plans...
Sorry I've been AWOL again for a while. Works been manic and it's the only time I get to get on.
RKB - wow, baby out vibes for you! Good luck with the car seat.
AFM - not a lot to report baby wise. Had my 31 week apt in the week and all is good with baby. Got my letter to fly from the dr which is a relief as I'm off to France for the week next week with work. H told me yesterday work are sending him to the Falklands in nov for 4 months meaning he'll miss Xmas and both our b.days plus his best friends wedding. Oh and our baby growing up! I'm absolutely gutted as we don't live near our family either. Suppose the good thing is that at least ill be on maternity leave. Off to the food and drink festival in our local town today with a friend as H is working all weekend. May make a start on de cluttering the nursery too!
Have a good weekend everyone!

Sorry missed you BB
Have a lovely pedicure!
Have you had a look on some YouTube videos to see if you can figure it out?
Hope you manage to get it sorted.
Off out to soft play in a sec then to meet up with WH and Nala. No plans tomorrow but they should probably involve housework!
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Oh TT, that sucks.
Bexy, enjoy your pedicure!

RKB - how frustrating about the car seat. Do you have the base? I was sure that I wouldn't be able to faff about without it and when we had a practice after taking it home from the shop I was so pleased that we got it. Makes life so much easier. Hope you manage to sort something
Bexy - have a lovely pedicure. I am also constantly up for wee breaks during the night, so annoying!
TT - how dissapointing about your H having to go away when baby will be so young. Hopefully the time will pass very quickly for you and with the baby you will make lots of friends for support and company in the absence of your family living nearby
Rusty - have fun at soft play and enjoy your newborn cuddles with Sebastian later!
Huge congratulations again to Morph! Not looking at the leaderboard now that her baby has been born as I think that my name is now on it!
AFM - off to aqua this morning whilst H goes car shopping with his dad who is after a new motor. We are then planning to build all the nursery furniture that was delivered this week and get the room ready. Off for dinner with friends this evening and then have more friends round tomorrow, hopefully for a BBQ if we get some half decent weather. Everyone keeps wanting to cach up with us before baby arrives so diary is looking fairly full!
Have a lovely weekend everyone x

And I'm back!
bexy -enjoy your pedicure! I have really ticklish feet so couldn't let anyone near them!
TT - sorry to hear about your H's work. I can't imagine how rubbish that'll be for you both.
Rusty - we did look at it online, and it is a really simple way that it goes in, but the seat belt wouldt't go over the back of the seat without a lot of shifting of the seat! Enjoy the soft play!
Ferbs - Enjoy building all the nursery furniture! Hope your aqua class was good too!!
And the car seat saga for me: we bought the system back in January from the glasgow pram centre. The girl who dealt with us managed to put the seat in with ease, so we went with that one. I was sitting yesterday when it occurred to me that we hadn't practiced getting the seat in and out of the car, so I said to H that we should probably check that we could do it. So 9.30pm yesterday at 40+1 we were sitting in our car fighting to get the seat to fit. H managed, but the way he did it, i'd not want my baby in the seat while it was being put in. Cue me phoning my mum to see if she was free to look at the seat and see if it was just us being thick. She couldn't come over before it got dark, so H and I decided we'd take the seat back to the pram centre and ask them to show us again...and then they couldn't get it to go in either. They wanted to know who had sold us the seat, but I couldn't remember the girls name, but I described her as best I could. They said that there was a base you could get, but they had been discontinued. The girls said they'd check to see if they had any in stock and if they did, we could have it free gratis as this was their error. Thankfully they had one left and put it in the car for us and it made the seat much more secure. The girls were really good and so helpful. I actually can't reccommend the Glasgow Pram Centre enough for their customer service! We then went for a wander round the shop and I got a feeding pillow and a changing table with a bath underneath it both reduced! So what could have essentially been a very expensive trip to the shop, cost us £35 all in!
I'm now one very happy RKB who is happy for baby to show up whenever they feel so inclined to do so!

Great update RKB!

Thanks Rusty. We both feel really good about the outcome. We had gone with the thought that we'd need to buy a new one if the shop couldn't work it out, but the staff were so nice and helpful, we weren't expecting them to just give us the base! I'm quite content now. Properly feel ready for LO to arrive now. :-)

Just checking in! Still here! Think this might be the first day that I'm disappointed baby hasn't tried to make am appearance! Tiz my Dad's birthday, so will be going to see him when H gets home from work. H has also bought me a pink lining changing bag!! He's picking it up after work tonight!! Happy happy RKB! :-D
19/05/2013 at 09:12
Which pattern you got?
19/05/2013 at 09:31
I had wanted the red butterfly/bow one, but I kept going back to this one.

Great news RKB about the car seat and base and also the changing bag. Hopefully baby will come out soon for you, but here's some vibes in the meantime. Just realised that Lamby has not been on all weekend...maybe something happening for her?!
Think I overdid it yesterday as feeling an extraordinary amount of pain in my pelvis this morning. Have just passed the 37 week mark now so I suppose baby coil come at any time...
Having friends over for lunch and we were planning to do a BBQ so need to head off to m&s for some yummy food in a bit. Sun is shining here (just hoping that it will last!)

Your right Ferbs! I haven't seem Lamby this weekend either! Maybe we've got another BA on the way! Who is her PP? She was due today too.
sending baby out vibes to Lamby and Bexy if needed!
