Hello ladies... This is the first time i've been brave enough to admit to myself that I'm in the 3rd tri! At 29+4 I'm still in total denial about having a baby!
so how are you all? What are you weekend plans?
car is going for MOT later today but other than that we're doing nothing all weekend.
05/10/2013 at 07:38
Morning custard, welcome to 3rd tri!!
We should be moving back into our bedroom this weekend, wardrobes are half up so will get that finished and get the bed back in. I can then get the baby stuff down from the loft so I can see what we've got and what else I need to buy.
Didn't get on yesterday's thread till late yesterday, I posted a link to the connecta I bought (but can't afford!), I just couldn't resist it!!! - www.connectababycarrier.com/.../happy-hooters-connecta-integra
Baby out vibes for popcorn and noggin if still needed xx

Morning Custard, welcome to 3rd Tri thread! How's your pregnancy going?
H is installing a new bathroom radiator today (hopefully) and I'm going to finish the shabby-chic on my chairs. Tomorrow H has a golf lesson so I'm having a facial, can't wait!
Bump is good, keep getting a foot poking out of my side! 34 weeks today, 6 weeks to go, aaaahhh!
Hope everyone is well and looking forward to seeing BAs from Popcorn and Noggin xx

Crossed with you Banzy, morning! Love that Connecta, I've bought that one www.connectababycarrier.com/.../feeling-groovy-connecta-integra my H was very insistent that it was a pattern he would use too. It actually looks a lot nicer than in the picture.
05/10/2013 at 07:52
Love that pattern BE, I've not broken the news to my H that ice bought that one yet, think he will wear it though.
Sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned, enjoy!!
I'm 35+4, can't believe how close it's getting now!!
05/10/2013 at 08:02
All is good here. Baby is very active. I keep getting body parts sticking out of my tummy which is weird! I bought a connecta too... In pretty flowers! I'm sure h won't mind! I also have a moby.
I'm annoyed with myself that I woke up at 6. I tried to go back to sleep but I was hungry so had breakfast instead! Might go back to bed for an hour soon!
05/10/2013 at 08:14
Hi Custard, not 'seen' you for a while. Hope your car passes the MOT
I love that Connecta Banzy - although i have to say not so keen on the name. LOL. Already have a moby and a Manduca so i really justify buying another sling. Damn!
Sounds like a very productive weekend BE !
We have the builders due any second (have made H get up to say hello/make coffee for them) to replace a snapped joist under garage/walkway roof (came home from holiday last week to find roof had moved noticably downwards. Closer inspection revealed snapped joist - bolted to wall in wrong place along joist - How it ever passed building reg i will never know - had akros holding roof up all week). Will be releaved to get it fixed.
LO has a flu vaccine at midday (not looking forward to that!) . Nothing much planned for tomorrow except clearing stuff away in prep for plasterer on Monday
05/10/2013 at 08:51
Hope popcorn and noggin are both busy having newborn cuddles this morning
Hi custard welcome to third tri. Hope your car passes its mot
Banzy sounds like a busy weekend, hope you get your bedroom all sorted
BE very jealous about the facial, I would love one right now!
HF hope your LO is ok with the flu jab.
AFM off for my bump photo shoot this afternoon then visiting friends ( a couple, the girl is very very broody so her poor fiancé gets nagged about when they will be having babies every time we visit!)
Also hoping to get to asda for a flu jab. Going to have to pay for it though as my gp isn't getting the vaccine in until 12th but as I'm due on 17th I want it doing asap.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend , JT 38+2

Huge congratulations to popcorn, and hope noggin is doing ok.
Custard I can't believe you are 3rd tri, so exciting!
Banzy - lovely Connecta, I am tempted by one but have a second-hand close wrap so will be testing that out first and then probably caving and buying the Connecta.
BE - hope your DIY day is going well, good plan to reward yourselves with a pamper day tomorrow.
HF - hope the flu jab went ok without too many tears and that your joist is more stable now!
Jellytot - enjoy your bump shoot, will there be flashes when you get the pics? I had my flu jab on Thursday and my arm hurts, I am such a wuss!
AFM - I am on maternity leave, woohoo! This means that I am not spending my Saturday working and am instead catching up on here and looking forward to being able to post more now that I'll be near my laptop more often. I had a lovely last day with flowers and cake and drinks after work. This afternoon I'm going to tidy the house a bit as it's a tip, then tomorrow we are meeting MIL, BIL and SIL at Betty's for lunch. They haven't seen me since I was around 16 weeks so are probably in for a shock as I am enormous now!

Congratulations to Popcorn! Hope Noggin is well on the way to newborn cuddles!
Welcome to 3rd tri threads Custard... people have have babies and everything
Banzy, I bet it'll be lovely sorting through baby stuff. When I sorted our clothes out, I'd forgotten about half the stuff we'd already bought - oops!
BE, enjoy your pampering tomorrow - sounds lovely!
HF, snapped joist is a bit scary, hope the builders have been and sorted it quickly. How's the horse? Have you got someone else riding him? Are you ready for winter? I'll definitely be looking to you for tips of juggling a new baby and horse in winter!
JT, enjoy visiting your friends - and the bump shoot of course. Hope we get a sneak preview!
Tina, I love Betty's (as you know) so a wee bit jealous about your lunch tomorrow! Enjoy maternity leave - it's bliss!
AFM, the birth pool is here and set up! I haven't been in it yet - I thought I ought to shower and wash my hair first so I could get into it clean, and then was so hot and tired from the effort of showering I didn't want to get in! I think it'll be lovely in the evenings, but we're out tonight visiting a friend and probably won't be home until 11-ish so I'll want to get to bed.
I've had period-type cramps on and off since yesterday - I don't think it's anything exciting, just my muscles warming up I think! Now the pool is here, I feel safe to up the raspberry leaf capsules - I'm on the 400mg ones from H&B which say to take between 3 and 6 per day; I've been on 3 a day for the last week, and am going to up it to 6 over the next few days.
05/10/2013 at 18:17
JT hope you enjoyed photoshoot
TT - Woohooo for maternity leave!
Mrs50s - Yaay for pools arrival. Try not to have a baby too soon and not get your moneys worth from pool. LOL.
Sadly, it looks like my horse is developed/ing ringbone. I stopped riding a few weeks ago, he is sound but I have turned him away until after baby has arrived - he is petrified of stables so lives out 24/7 anyway. Vet isnt too worried at the moment - given he isn't lame - suggests xraying the affected leg in February ish to see if any bone is being laid down in the joint(s). I'd started him on a glucosamine earlier in the year because I'd thought he was a bit stiff - but I'd put it down to age (17). Trying not to read too much bad stuff on the internet about ringbone.
Not sure what his future is gonna be - Expensive field ornament!?. Would like to retire him & buy a youngster but not sure I can afford another livery bill at the moment.....

Builders have finished. Joist sorted. Roof hack at the height its supposed to be. Phew phew!
The flu vaccine wasn't anywhere as bad as I'd feared. The nurse was lovely and brilliant with kids. She did a squirt up each nostril, handed her a biscuit & sticker and it was all over. No screaming nor trauma. I was amazed!!
06/10/2013 at 07:59
Hf - glad you got the joist sorted, sounded scary and the flu jab wasn't traumatic.
JT - hope the photoshoot went well, any pics to flash?
TT - yay for mat leave and enjoy your day today.
Mrs 50s - glad the pools arrived for you, we don't even have a bath, I'm really going to miss a relax in the bath over the next few weeks, I remember doing it a lot in the late stages with I.
We got quite far with the room yesterday just got to move the bed back in today and put some pictures up and we're done. I experience heart burn for the first time yesterday and I'm not a fan, hoping its not going to be a regular occurance!! Was also woken at 5 with a really achy bump, took me quite a while to get back to sleep!
Hope everyone gas lovely days today x

I had terrible nights sleep. Kept waking up feeling sick. Then having a panic I'm allergic to antibiotics I'm currently on (they contain penicillin) for a UTI and i was gonna land myself in hospital. Read the accompanying leaflet over breakfast and its say one common side effect is nausea. Bloody marvelous!
06/10/2013 at 14:16
Hello all, sorry for lack of personals. Been a hectic end to week, but now have the nursery clear so we can make a proper start on it. Got loads of jobs done yesterday, so taking it easy today.
06/10/2013 at 14:21

I had a long day Friday, got home just before 8 and was up at 6:30 sat for our event. was a long busy day but i made sure i sat down when i could had kept eating and drinking water. everyone was great at making sure i had a rest too! Was knackered when I got home but within 20 mins are friends arrived from Cambridge and we had to get ready to go to our friends 30th birthday party! Luckily they had just got back from a week in Ibiza so they were just as knackered as me! We made it until 1am and I drove us home. we then waited up until H got home from his gig at 2am then i soon went to bed! Off to a beer festival today which should be interesting! already looing forward to getting home, having pizza and watching downton!!
06/10/2013 at 16:28
HF, I've known a few horses with ringbone and generally they seem to go a bit pottery while it develops, and then once it's finished forming they are sound - and field rest is often the best 'treatment' while it's developing so in a way it's excellent timing! Sorry you've had a rubbish night's sleep hope you're getting some rest today and that the nausea has worn off.
Well done for clearing the nursery MrsP, hope you're enjoying a restful day.
Banzy, hope the heartburn keeps away! I've been suffering with it for a few weeks but luckily gaviscon works wonders, and I only really suffer when I lie down so I'm not having to take much. I still asked the GP for a prescription though as it soon adds up otherwise and might as well while prescriptions are free!
Mrs Bass, you have some stamina!! Just reading about your weekend has worn me out. I hope the event was a success though?
06/10/2013 at 20:09
Mrs50s I am bloody knackered!! I do have the whole week off though with not much planned so I can recover!!
