Hope everyone is well & enjoying the nice weather, can't believe it's still so mild in Oct!!
I honestly thought things were starting on Tuesday evening as I felt really crampy but clearly it was just too much movement from me trying to move him from his back to back position. Unfortunately though, it's now kicked off a feeling of waiting & almost being disappointed that he has arrived yet even though I haven't even reached my due date date yet. My hubby is convinced he's going to come early (which, if you knew us irl, we're never early!!) but since we named him Baby Pumpkin I think he'll hang around & wait till Halloween to make his appearance. So potentially still got another 4 weeks that I could be waiting so trying to fill my time.
Having a productive weekend at home tidying out cupboards & generally cleaning but I have to say it was amazing having a lie in this morning. I stopped teaching my last dance/drama class last Saturday & this morning I slept until nearly 11am (although I'd had to get up to give Isobelle water at 6am) then had a lovely long warm shower. Maybe that's why I've been able to be so productive.
Have a great weekend all x x

Hey bk, maybe the nesting and sleeping you're doing this weekend is the start of things? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
AFM I woke up to a message from my friend to say her baby was born this morning so that was lovely. I've popped to shops with hubby and got a few last bits for hosp bag, I think I've packed everything I can in advance of leaving now so just need to finish work on Monday now and the waiting begins....

Hi both, hope you dont have too long to wait, very exciting!
AFM I started the mission of trying to find a maternity coat in the shops today. Literally no maternity shops have them. My H ended up treating me to a super practical and comfy one in JoJo Maman et Bebe (such nice bits in there!). Going to chill tonight as been nonstop all day. MrsL I hope you enjoy your last day at work and that it is fairly easy.
30+0- so happy to have reached the 30 mark!

MrsL: Thanks, it's like TTCing again when you try really hard to read anything into every ache or soreness!! Glad to hear you're all ready. One day left till mat leave, try to fill your time so you're not waiting (I started well with this but have started 'waiting' whoops!)
Rio: How lovely to get a nice comfy coat. Hope you have a nice easy evening x

Hi, hope you are all well just thought I would pop my head in quickly and say hi.
Bk I hope things start soon for you although it does sound like you're getting lots done!
Mrs l that's lovely that your friend has had her baby. Enjoy your last day Monday, I hope you have plans for resting!
Rio that's good that you've found a coat, I think you will need if soon! 30 weeks seems like such a big milestone doesn't it?
Well I'm sat her with D after feeding him enjoying a sneaky cuddle before putting him down to bed, although how long until the next feed is a mystery. Could be 2 hours, could be 5 minutes!

Aw Bunny hows it all going?? Nice to hear from you!

Rio - 30 weeks def feels like a milestone doesn't it, not long left now! I feel like 30 weeks was only a couple of weeks back for me!
BK - you're right it's exactly like TTC Again haha. I just can't wait for a rest before baby comes (fingers crossed)
Bunny - hello lovely hope you are getting on ok?

Getting on surprisingly well! Feeding is going better than I thought if would although I can't get the hang of discretely feeding, I have to get my whole boob out so we've not really ventured outside, only to the supermarket and to register his birth. I also didn't realise how often babies feed sometimes! We've had some long cluster feeding at night and one 24 hour period he decided to feed every hour! I'm trying to get naps in when I can if D doesn't wake up. He's pretty laid back at the moment, but whether he will stay like that as he gets older we'll soon find out!

Bunny: so glad it's going well. Yes they feed a lot don't they!! For discreet breastfeeding I used to use a muslin draped over my daughters head & then tucked in the opposite bra strap. I practised this in a mirror a few times before I had any family over so I was confident in doing so (my sil spent most of the time feeding my niece in a bedroom when she 1st had her & I really wanted to be able to do it public). Once you've practised a few times hopefully you'll feel more confident about doing it public (so much easier when you can).
Take care & hope you're getting some rest! x

Thank you. When I've tried to use a muslin I've tucked into the same side as I'm feeding do maybe that's where I'm going wrong!

It's about trial & error & what works for you. I couldn't imagine not being able to feed in public as I was out & about quite a lot with Isobelle & with feeding her till 18 months it would've been very restrictive. Hope you're able to find something that works for you & makes you feel comfortable doing it in public. Just to add that in that 18 months I never once had any negative comments so I really wish you all the best with it x
