AR, I did *really* well last night. Slept midnight to 6.30. Best it gets these days :)
Your handsome horse is off on a holiday! Bless. You'll miss him, hope it works out well for him. Hope the headache is all gone very soon.
I'm working all day tomorrow so on strict instructions to DO NOTHING today, but there's loads of admin and house bits I want to do. Can't call putting photos in frames hardship! Got nursery and porch to clear. Carpenter Tues, so excited! Harry is on leave from work this week, think we're going out for early tapas when hubby gets in from work.
The first aid course at home was great. I definitely have confidence to tackle CPR and choking etc which I am not sure i would have previously, to be honest. And those babies of my sister's are so bloomin' adorable. She looks pale, exhausted and dazed, but really, really happy :)

Hello AR! I'm up now, and actually remembered to come on and say hi! Sorry you had a rubbish nights sleep, mines been terrible too for a couple of weeks now. Managed 4 and a half hours straight last night which feels like loads these days! Hope your headache goes, sounds like you have a nice day planned.
I'm ok, just shattered! Last day of work yesterday and it was my baby shower last night. Baby and I have been thoroughly spoilt! My mum worked so hard on it, and it really was wonderful. Didn't get home until 2! If I knew how on the phone I would flash a picture of the cake because it was beautiful!
37+3 today and I really know about it now. Everyone says I look really low and H doesn't think I'll make it to due date. If I can hang on another week I'll be happy so I can give the house a good scrub (dog is on heat and making a mess everywhere currently). Today we are sorting out our front bedroom and heading to ikea for another wardrobe and cheap sofa bed. Might persuade H to pop in for some meatballs too! Oh and if it's not raining we're going to fit the car seat base this weekend. It's all feeling frighteningly close now! Still haven't read one thing about labour or birth, just keep hoping ignorance is bliss!
Hope everyone is good and you all have lovely days!
Woo I figured it out!!

Sorry counter, missed you! Try to have a relaxed day, but I agree putting some photos in frames sounds manageable :) That's really good about the course, I have no idea about stuff like that! Was it easy to find?
Ahh, lovely squishy newborns. Hope your sister is ok.

What a fab cake!! I'm really hungry just looking at it! Shower sounds lovely and you'll get loads done now you're off :)
I just googled local first aid for babies and found a freelance trainer on mumsnet, £25 at our house for just over 1.5 hours, we got to ask all sorts of questions, covered CPR, choking, burns, bleeding, asthma, anaphylactics and also some basics (although it seems like common sense) on how to most efficiently call emergency services etc. I didn't know you could register your phone for 999 so you could text in an emergency if no signal.

AR you must be exhausted! At least you were productive while you were awake I suppose, better than tossing and turning and getting frustrated that you can't sleep.
Counter - relax today! But framing photos is allowed. You've reminded me we really need to sort our wedding album out! Hope you enjoyed baby cuddles yesterday!
OB that cake looks lovely, could eat a slice right now! I don't think I would have wanted to cut it though. Must be a lovely feeling to be done with work.
AFM didn't sleep too bad last night but feel as though I'm starting to coming down with something. Hopefully my week off means I'll manage to get rid of it. We have an NCT class this morning (should probably get out of bed!) and then our for lunch tomorrow for mums birthday. Had a bit of a stress last week as I hate all the clothes in my wardrobe at the moment but can't see the point of any new ones. I'm so fed up of wearing the same 4 outfits!

AR sorry to hear you didn't sleep well and hope your headache shifts soon!
Counter that first aid course sounds great. I did one with work which covered general but it sounds like a really good idea to hand something child/ baby focused
OB still can't get over that cake! Enjoy ikea (and meatballs, yum!)
Flossy I know just what you mean about clothes! Now I'm on mat leave it is a bit easier as I can wear leggings all the time but it's no fun. Had a meltdown yesterday trying to find something for H's Nanas party today!
AFM a bit of action here- I'm losing my plug so that's a real step in the right direction (though I know labour could still be a week or 2 away!) and had cramps since last night- they're more like gentle period pains and continuous so again I'm not taking as any definite sign but good to know *something* is happening. Off to H's Nana's 90th party this afternoon so will be keeping legs crossed til then ;-)

Morning all :)
AR, hope it's not too hard moving your horse. Busy day for you xx
Counter, def take it easy but photos into frames sounds ok! I get the feeling you're not the type of person to sit with your feet up anyway!
OB, glad you enjoyed your baby shower, that cake looks amazing. Are you not exhausted today?
Flossy, enjoy nct course, and lunch out tomorrow. I too hate everything in my wardrobe especially as jeans seem to suddenly be too tight round my bump and I can't decide if it's worth buying more. Probably not!
Rose, all sounds promising, hope baby doesn't keep you waiting much longer, but not till after this afternoons party!
All seems ok here for now, 33 weeks today which was my goal after the first bleed at 28+3, my new goal is 35-36 weeks. Looking forward to my mum coming tomorrow as my house is a tip, H is useless as all men are (although he's up with M and stepson and I'm still in.bed so shouldn't complain really) and my mum will have it straightened in no time. I'm scared to do much myself just in case as still getting some brown bleeding. Best to have an untidy house than an early baby!
Hope everyone else is ok, happy weekends everyone x

AR- Sorry to hear you were awake during the night. I hope your headache clears
Counter so glad your sister and babies are doing well, enjoy your Tapa's
OB- That cake is amazing
Flossy- Enjoy your class
Rose- Have a great time at the birthday party and I have my fingers crossed the baby starts to make an appearance over the next few days
WE- Leave the house a mess (or let someone else do it) and concentrate on yourself
AFM- I am so fed up with myself, for the 3rd night running I barely slept. I eventually got off to sleep just before 5am, but did mange 4 solid hours when I got off. My nephew is being really cute and keeps following me around and cuddling my bump so he's cheering me up. In other news my friend had just had her baby girl this morning weighing 7lb 12 at 39weeks.

Sorry I can't do personals will take me forever on my phone. 37 weeks now and feeling really rubbish! Baby is massivly active today and has been for hours so no sleeping for me! Had some really bad pains yesterday and thought it was the start but I had a nice bath and some paracetamol and they went as quickly as they came! Think baby is moving down as I am feeling really uncomfortable down below!
If only we could know when they were planning on coming out so we could feel prepared! Just a waiting game now! Got my sweep on Thursday!
01/02/2014 at 13:01
Flossy, hope whatever you think is coming just passes you by! I totally know what you mean about clothes. It's not nice being so limited but I can't justify being more unless absolutely necessary. I don't like having to wear some weekend clothes to the office either.
Rose - happy birthday to your Nana! And yay to some action. All steps in the right direction. That's exciting.
Weekender - so pleased for you to get to 33. That's a long way you've come. And screw the housework! No harm can come to anyone through a bit of mess, you're doing the right thing. Must be such a relief to be at home than hospital.
BLL - you're exhausted, poor you. Tiredness is evil! Lovely news about your friend.
NLH - hope you get some decent rest.

Hi ladies, hope you're all ok.
AR - sorry you didn't sleep well. Hope you get rid of the headache soon. x
Counter - Ahh glad the babies are good. Enjoy your day of doing nothing. Glad the first aid course was useful. I was looking at a red cross one this morning but Being this disorganised i think i will probably wait until baby is here now.
OB - That cake is fab. Haha although I have read up on labour and birth, I'm still in denial and refusing to think about it.
Flossy - I feel your pain with lack of clothes but I'm refusing to buy anymore until I can buy real clothes again. Hope NCT went well.
Rose - Def sounds like something is happening! How exciting. Hope your nana's party goes well.
Weekender - just stay where you are and let your mum/H clean. Cooking the baby is more important.
BLL - sorry you haven't been sleeping. That's lovely news about your friends baby.
NLH - wow you might not have long to go at all!
Afm - not much planned this weekend. H and I are going to go for a meal tonight as a last date night in a while. I've only had a week off work and I already have cabin fever! Hopefully baby will arrive soon enough but it doesn't feel like it will happen any time soon.

Best laid plans... Had some quality time with Harry & dog, did a little pottering, but then have had nephew since 3, sister was asked to take babies up to hospital (lost 9% and 11.5% of birth weight). I was saying to hubby I suspected they just needed to make them feed more often (the jaundice means they're sleepy) but I completely understand they wanted to be sure. They're being discharged again, midwife will review Monday and see if extra feeding has helped. I'm exhausted and in the grump of all grumps about working tomorrow. BUT..... It should be my last extra shift now, this year, ha ha. So I'll just suck it up.
Hope everyone has had a lovely Saturday and not too ruined by this pants weather! x

Morning! Counter I hope your sister and twinnies are 100% soon and can get back home!
Woke super early today and annoyingly couldn't get back to sleep so after laying there for a while have finally given up! Lovely day at H's nanas party, exhausting though so plan on chilling out for the rest of today. Sort of hoping baby might start to make an appearance tonight as I was thinking of staying up for the Super Bowl haha!

Hope the twins are ok counter. That's brill it's your last extra shift of the year!
Still no sign Rose? Did the twinges disappear?
Enjoy the party AR. Sorry you aren't sleeping properly.
I had the worst nights sleep ever, i must have woke up ever half hour :( We had a lovely meal out last night though. I'm really glad we made the effort.
02/02/2014 at 10:35
Oh no sorry to hear you had such a pants nights sleep LD :( Hope you can take it easy today?
Still losing plug and it's become a bit bloody now (grim, sorry!!!) Twinges seem to come and go so don't think I can take them to reliably mean anything, annoyingly! I'll probably go way over now after getting excited something might happen imminently…. How about you? Any signs?
