Morning all, Hope we all have nice weekends planned. I'm visiting my oldest friend, can't wait to see her and have a catch up as it's been ages. Then I think we are going to buy the cot bed. Tomorrow will be tip run and clearing out an alcove ready for the joiner to start building cupboards and shelves. Drive almost done, just finishing off on Monday so things are starting to come together x

Morning mrs p, sounds like a lovely morning planned and a busy weekend!

Afm - my parents are having I for the night so H and I can have one final night out before baby arrives. Not sure what we are going to do yet, maybe a nice meal somewhere. Might do a bit more wallpaper stripping today too, we've been in touch with the plumber who said he can probably fit us in at end of the month to fit our bathroom. Cutting it a bit fine but we can always go and stay with my parents with a newborn! Not sure what they will think of that but would be a nice bit of extra support for me!!

    Hope everyone has good weekends

    Morning!

MrsP - Enjoy your catch up, glad things are coming together with the drive

Banzy - I'm sure your parents would love you to go and stay with the newborn! Hopefully he will get it done before baby arrives though. Enjoy your night out.

AFM - Me and H have decided to go to the bullring for a bit of shopping today, its our first Sat off together in a long time, so thought we should do something. But the weather here is rubbish, so has to be something inside. Just been for my Flu jab and in a room of about 30/40 people i was the only one under the age of around 70. They were all drinking tea and eating biscuits after. I found it rather strange.

    Morning ladies,

MrsP have a nice catch up with your friends. Exciting buying the cot bed!

Banzy enjoy your date night, don't work too hard today

AFM I'm currently sat in a packed gp waiting room for a flu jab drop in clinic. I naively hoped it would be quiet and I would only be waiting a few mins! Off out for tea tonight with friends as its one of their birthdays. Should be nice as it will be our last meal for a while as we can manage taking a toddler out for a meal, but not sure about a newborn as well.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend

    Morning!

MrsP - sounds like a busy weekend, enjoy catching up with your friend.

Banzy - have a lovely night, H and I did the same last night and it was so nice to attempt to get dressed up a bit and be a grown up while we still can!

MummyS - it was the same at my flu clinic too, like some sort of social event! I felt like a right Billy no mates!

JT - hope you're not waiting too long, enjoy your evening too.

AFM - I've not been awake long after a night out with H last night, we had a posh meal and a couple of drinks and it was lovely although people do like to stare at the bump once you get to a certain point, don't they? Today is my baby shower so I'm really excited about seeing all my friends and eating a lot of cake! Better get moving as I've made choc cherry cupcakes but they still need icing before I go.

Morning all, it sounds like some lovely weekend plans are happening.

MrsP, enjoy seeing your friend - nothing like a good catch up with someone who knows you really well.

Banzy, enjoy a 'last' night out, sounds like a good plan!

MS, sounds like the annual flu jab clinic is a bit of a retiree's social opportunity Laugh How brilliant that they provide tea and biscuits! Enjoy your shopping.

JT, enjoy your meal out as well. Can't believe you'll have a newborn in 6 days time - compared to last time do you prefer having a known date?

TT, have an amazing baby shower today. Cupcakes sound lush! I think we need a flash of your outfit from your posh meal yesterday!

AFM, it's Bill Bailey day and no baby yet, hurrah! I did a massive online food shop last night ready for delivery on Monday so feel better for organising that. All I have left to do before baby arrives now are non-essentials really - dye my hair (had it cut on Friday), paint my nails, tidy my eyebrows (this all sounds very vain but I am conscious of the amount of photos that will be taken!), finish twiddling the labour playlist (although it's at a point where it could just be loaded onto the ipod and is pretty much there), and print out some affirmations / labour position reminders to stick around the pool. Hopefully most of those will be done today, then it's Bill Bailey gig tonight.

Tomorrow will hopefully be some pre-organised sex (!) Not exactly romantic, but if it starts things off then it's a bonus, but neither of us wanted to risk it pre-Bill! On Monday morning I have a reflexology appointment - it's a labour and birth prep one, rather than a trying-to-trigger-labour one (which she usually does from 40 weeks) but who knows! I'm just looking forward to being pampered really.

Had a lovely chilled out evening on the sofa with my mates watching dvds. Offoutin a bit for my flu jab, its the day for them today! No other plans. H will be home about 6pm tomorrow so I think I'll do a mini roast for when he gets home so that requires a trip to the supermarket!

Mrs50s there will be no flash from last night as I really do feel too huge now for photo opportunities! In my head I look ok and then the photo gets taken and I am brought back down to earth. Enjoy Bill, it's a really good show, I enjoyed it even when my back was at its worst so there's a testimony right there!

MrsBass I am about to get in the shower and I got really confused about why you were telling me to enjoy it, doh. Baby brain is in full force here. Enjoy a relaxing weekend.

Ha ha, Tina that made me giggle!

My last injection of the week is done! They were super efficiant, I was leaving at the time my appt was! They had a table of free tea and biscuits but I felt a bit mean taking any from the OAPs! Treated myself to a gingerbread latte and cake after then over did it shopping! Pretty much finished my xmas shopping now though!

    Hi all

I'm on my phone so a bit difficult for personals but hope all the flu jabs went ok. I've just woken up from a nice little nap, found I's soft toys had been placed all around me. Dropping her off at the parents soon and then we need to decide what we're going to do tonight, we're still not sure.

Hi all, exhausting day doing decorating prep. Well technically I dished out orders and spent most of it keeping LO amused whilst H did decorating prep .... Although I did do some sanding on woodwork whilst LO napped at lunchtime. Still seems to be loads more sanding to do - old house, still has original wood paneling on stairs / intricate banisters / original picture rails, huge skirting etc ..... All beautiful -but bloody nightmare to sand!  I like the actual painting bit .... Hope that starts soon. LOL

Mrs50s- im trying to be as organised as possible before every waking though is about baby!

Banzy- hope u make some exciting plans & just enjoy some quality time with ur H

HorseFan- that sounds exhausting! My friend has an old house and seems to be constantly sanding something!

Im in my joggers, pizza in the oven, trying to pick a DVD! Just had a call from H, he was drunk as a skunk & kept apologising for being drunk. Was hilarious!! They were heading to the pub across the road from their travel inn for dinner, not sure that's their best of ideas!

TT hope you had a lovely baby shower. Choc cherry cupcakes sound delicious

Mrs50's there good and bad points to knowing the date. Means I can arrange childcare, have an exact date to countdown to etc. but it means I'm getting impatient sooner. Normally it would be once you're past your due date that you'd start getting impatient, but as I know its this Thursday I'm getting impatient now and I'm only 39+3. I think its because I've got everything ready whereas normally I leave everything to the last min. H is bored too- he asked yesterday if we can ring up to go in sooner!

Hope you enjoyed bill bailey last night, and that your pre organised sex gets things going!

MrsBass I can't believe you've done your Xmas shopping you're so organised! I think I will try to do most of mine online to avoid the chaotic shops with two kids!

HF take it easy with the DIY. We desperately need to do the skirting on our stairs as its covered in plaster, but I'm ignoring it now until after baby arrives.

AFM no plans other than nagging H to do a last few jobs in the house- I've had no curtains in our bedroom for six weeks and I get told every weekend he will put the pole up and he never does, so today I'm going to have major rage if it doesn't get done.  Also want some pictures putting up in the living room and bedroom as I'm sick of bare walls.

JT- hope yor rage gets him motivated!

MrsB- how exciting! Are you ready for baby out vibes yet?!

    HF- how exciting!

eeeks, everyone is getting so close to actually having babies now!! I should probably do my last shopping bits and get the nursery sorted! H says the beginning of December is when he is going to start getting prepared and make sure crib etc is built. Think that might be leaving it a bit close!!

    Hello ladies.

No personals from me, sorry!  (on my phone!).

I'm not good at all. My hip and back are killing me so much. Last night I was crying and being sick with pain. Called hospital and as I was climbing the walls at midnight and they couldn't do anything as baby is okay. Called out of hours doctors and they couldn't give me anymore pain killers than I already had. I can't sit, lay it stand. This morning it's still really painful but not as bad as last night. My hip pain is so bad I cant move my right leg at all and it's going numb! I will be going to the doctors tomorrow for help. Worse weekend ever. I can't do this for another 9 weeks.

Very woe is me today :(
