Morning everyone I hope you don't mind me starting this thread, I'm 28+1 so officially in 3rd trimester now which is a bit scarey!
whats everyone got planned for the weekend? Mine is pretty relaxed I might pop to the shops later and tomorrow I think H and one of my brothers are going to make a start on painting baby's room.
babywise all ok I think, he seems to wriggle round alot at the moment. Had midwife yesterday and all was ok. Just waiting for my blood results from my hospital appt with the consultant o. Tuesday so when I go next month we can discuss birth options. At the moment an epidural is a no and if natural birth doesn't work out it will result in a c section under ga ;( fingers crossed the blood levels are ok x

Hi there MrsL, welcome to the 3rd tri!
sounds like you're having a good weekend, hope your blood leveles come back ok so you have all options available to you x
I'm taking Isobelle to a naming ceremony/1st birthday party today which'll be mainly people I know from my drama group who I haven't seen for awhile. Then supposed to be meeting up with antenatal friends tomorrow but haven't exactly sorted the details yet. Then on Monday hoping to go & visit my friend who is over from borneo for a few weeks.
We finally moved Isobelle into her bedroom last night (although it's not completely finished) but it wasn't how I wanted it as my hubby didn't get home till nearly 9 & I had to wait for him to put the curtains up. She then poured water all over her bed! then my hubby & I spend the rest of the evening out of each others way (I was so angry with him for always coming home so late) & am glad he's not coming with us to the party. Hopefully he'll go to Ikea & swap the wardrobe doors as I think it was light when he came to bed without eating any of the food I'd cooked (it was in the slow cooker so could've easily been heated up) so I doubt he'll be up before we leave. Grrrr. Sorry for the rant. I just feel that we go round in circles!
Babywise, I had my whooping cough jab yesterday & was suprised how much my arm ached afterwards. Still aches a bit now!
Hi to all that follow x

Mrs l welcome to 3rd tri! Nice to 'see' you again. Hope your blood results come back fine. Are you popping to the shops for anything in particular?
Bk enjoy the naming birthday ceremony sounds lovely. Hopefully tonight will go better for isobelle in her room. I hope your h gets those jobs done while you are out!
I slept like dream last night! I've had achy hips and been sleeping on a duvet folded in half, but last night I folded it HP again so it was in quarters and it made a huge difference, no achy hips! I think it may have helped that I had a lazy day yesterday. Today I'm going to get h to help me with some gardening as we've got some plants to repot and compost is too heavy for me move. Got to do a little bit of food shopping and might pop to the in-laws as they have a pump to blow up the birthing ball I've got.

Morning and welcome MrsL. Have a good/productive weekend shopping and painting :-)
BK the naming ceremony sounds nice, and a good way to get out of the house and away from any tension. Here's hoping your hubby will have got his backside into gear by the time you get home!
Bunny, that's brilliant that you've solved the hip ache problem. Hope you have a nice relaxed weekend.
We had a lovely 2 days away for our anniversary and came back last night. Sadly I am sleeping worse than ever despite the tablets, and starting to get random tummy ache (not tightening, just ache, and not in waves or anything time-able) and nausea. Not sure if it's a sign of anything but I hope so. Maybe any second timers could shed some light on that? I didn't really mind about discomfort if I know it has a purpose!
Today we need to take my engagement ring for repair and see how much a new diamond is (it's not the main one, just a tiny one from the shoulder) then in theory need to do a supermarket run but lovely hubby has said he will do it if I need to rest, then he will make pizza later. And he's also going to make a huge batch of flapjacks for labour snacks for me :-). Other than that, no plans at all!

MrsL - welcome to 3rd tri, lovely to have you join us. Hope your blood levels come back okay.
BK - what is it with husbands, eh? I know what you mean about going round in circles! Hope you and Isobelle manage to have a nice day today.
Bunny - I bet a good night's sleep makes all the difference. You sound like quite a keen gardener, I wish I had the energy to do some weeding!
AFM, H let me have a bit of a lie in this morning. He got up with F but I didn't really get back to sleep, I made the most of being able to chill out in bed. I did however have a much better night last night - I don't know if it was the chamomile tea or the fact that I was so exhausted. H has gone to play golf this morning and then later on we're going to pop to Mothercare to get them to check that F is still okay in his car seat, which I'm pretty sure he is, before we go ordering another FamilyFix base for this baby. Tomorrow we're going to make a start on clearing the spare room and then take F swimming.

Missed you there BF. Glad you had a nice couple of days away for your anniversary. Hope your ring isn't too expensive to repair. Flapjacks is a good idea, I might have to do the same when the time comes!

Hi WG, I think our posts crossed! Lie ins are good, in fact I am still in bed but getting up soon. Glad you're sleeping better:-)
09/08/2014 at 11:01
Still in bed? Wow that's pretty good going, I get all achey and have to get up. I long for what I call a proper lie in! In a few months hopefully....
09/08/2014 at 11:37
Bf your weekend sounds lovely. Tummy ache could be a sign of things to come. I had mild tummy ache similar to period pain for a couple of hours before contractions started. Yum to flapjacks!
WG its only because we got the garden ready for k's party that I want to try and keep on top of the weeds! We were given some plants then as presents so I'm worried they will die if we leave them in their pots. Chilling in bed sounds good. That's good that you had a better nights sleep. Enjoy your trip to mothercare. I can't go in by myself at the mo as I buy too many cute baby clothes and things we don't need!

Little update, no news on baby, still feeling a bit sick but no period pains, contractions or anything else. However, good news is that the jeweller we bought my ring from will replace the little diamond, clean it and get it back to us by Tues, all for £50. Pretty chuffed with that. Now lounging on the sofa with a cuppa and cake :-)

Blackkat hope, your arm is better today and you enjoy your time with antenatal friends
Bunny - didn't end up shopping on my own, we ended up baby shopping. Glad you slept well x
Barefoot good news on your engagement ring enjoy your pizza
WG hello again, hope mothercare went ok, did u get a new car seat?
So my plan of shopping on my own changed as hubby's plans fell through. We ended up at kiddicare in hayes and got a bargain changing unit for £65 plus. Blanket and I had a £10 voucher to use too. Also got some hospital bags bits in mothercare and looked for a new bed for us then went for lunch. Wasn't until we got home I looked at the changing unit and H had only picked half of the boxes up for it, so we have just driven back to get the second part so we can put it together tomorrow!

Hi too late for personals but want to say thanks for letting me rant. I think having a day out really helped me, thanks. It's my turn for the lie in in the morning (we take it in turns at the weekend) so I might not be on till the afternoon tomorrow!!
10/08/2014 at 10:29
Morning. Any plans for today?
Bf hope baby starts moving in the right direction!
Mrs l sounds like a busy shopping day! Hope you managed to get all the boxes for the changing station. We have one and had it in the living room. It was used loads with k definitely one of our most useful buys!
Bk hope you are having your lie in right now!
Not sure what our plans are today. Think we will be going to my brother in-law and sister in-laws to help them pack as they are moving next week, but we will have to check the roads first as earlier in the week some of them got flooded and its raining a lot again!
10/08/2014 at 11:07
Hope everyone is alright? Apologies I wasn't around yesterday, took ages to get going and them time just disappeared and the In Laws were round for tea, didn't leave until nearly 10pm!!
AFM - no great plans today, weather is miserable but I managed a really good sleep at last so that's making me feel refreshed. Off round to my parents later for Roast Beef, which I'm actually strangely excited about!! Baby is 37 weeks today, so I guess anytime now is possible, although due date is still 3 weeks away. (31st August). Still changing between super excited about seeing baby and daunted by the inevitable labour!
10/08/2014 at 14:32
Hope you don't mind me not doing any further personals. Still in the middle of clearing and sorting the rooms out upstairs ready for baby plus I'm trying to cook a roast dinner too. My feet really ache! Hope everyone's having a good day.
10/08/2014 at 17:41
Blackkat hope u enjoyed your lie in x
Bunny we've been locked in all day as the cycle race covers every area around our house, not that I'm complaining as it's rained most of the day haha. Hope u had a good time with the in laws
Alipops roast beef sounds amazing enjoy!
WG take it easy tonight, hope u made good progress clearing the room
AFM my brother and H have painted the baby's rooms it looks gorgeous, they also tried and failed to install a dimmer switch but honk the socket is dodgy so didn't work. And on top of all of that built most of the changing unit, we just need to put the shelf In and knobs on the doors. It feels like we're finally getting somewhere! Xx
