a bright and early one from me today, J was up at 6am. But he did sleep through till then, for the third night in a row, yay!! Today we've got a joiner coming to toddlerproof our upstairs bedroom so it can be turned into J's room and we can swipe his room back for the nursery. We'll have to wait a little while to move him though as I think moving his room at the same time as bringing a new baby home might be a bit too disruptive. I had lots of uncomfy Braxton hicks again last night, almost constant from 6-bedtime. Why is it that things always feel like they're happening at night then you wake up in the morning to nothing? Come on Attila, 38 weeks today so feel free to pop any time!
I hope everyone has a fun weekend lined up in the nice weather.

Damnit, I just lost my whole reply :'(
Attila, come on out, we need another birth announcement in here!
AFM, I just typed out a whingey paragraph about it being my baby shower today, but how I'm an ungrateful sod because it is just making me sad that all the most important people in my life aren't going to be here, and want my mom, sister, aunts and best friends by my side. Obviously this is preggo hormone induced silliness, and I know it's a really lovely thing for ?H's sister to have planned, and it will be nice to see her, their mom, and aunts, and the 3 friends I have coming. I'm a bit sad that I could only think of a half dozen girls to invite and the ones who are coming are the ones I met through hitched. It really does go to show that it doesn't matter how you meet people!
Anyways, enough about that. Holly Jolly is getting prepped as well. I've been getting loads of BH contractions now, sometimes one will last AGES and sometimes it goes away really quickly. It was really hard to tell what one was at first, but I'm noticing them all the time now. I wonder if they're more noticeable because baby is bigger, or if they're worse as we get closer to eviction day? I think I'm going to have to come up with some ingenious ways to distract myself over e next couple weeks!!

Morning ladies...room for a not so little one? ;-)
SG - Glad J has been sleeping through for you. I hope you had another good one last night. Sounds exciting planning J's big boy room...I think you're doing the right thing delaying the move. If we hadn't moved house we'd have delayed O's too but it gave us the ideal opportunity to change things. Hope Attila decides to stop teasing and make an appearance soon for you.
Wispa - It must be so hard having your family so far away when you've stuff you'd love to share with them. Big hugs to your lovely, hope you had an awesome baby shower. Hitched girls are the best. I've made some fab friends IRL as a result of these forums :-)
AFM - I'm a bit in denial that it's 3rd tri time again....feels like only yesterday I was here expecting O! (Even if we were still on BT then!) 27+2 today and all is going well so far, bar waking up with the most horrendous trapped wind this morning. I felt like I'd been stabbed!! I know it's early but I've only got 2 weeks left at work now and i can't wait...i had a full year's annual leave to take and I really want to do a few bits in the house and do some cool stuff with O before we change his world forever ;-) my official maternity leave won't kick in until the beginning of July. O has been a bit off colour thus weekend but if he's feeling a bit better hoping to go to a nearly new sale later.
Hope you're all well and having fab weekends xx

Wispa, how was your baby shower? It's totally understandable to feel the distance from family at special times, it must be really hard. I hope you had loads if fun with the people who were there, feel free to flash anything exciting.
Coco, welcome to third tri! I think we've room for you as it's so quiet, otherwise you might be in trouble as my *** is taking up at lot if the available space in here. Yay for only another 2 weeks of work, it'll be lovely to have so much time off with O. I feel really guilty that I'm so immobile at the moment that I'm not making the most if my last few weeks with J properly, I'd love to be taking him exciting places, but u can't walk do he's getting lots of time in the garden instead, or sometimes tv time when I'm particularly exhausted (bad mummy alert...) Does this mean we're no longer going to get heads ups about clothing sales? ;-) Hope O is feeling good today and you have fun at the nn sale.
Afm, bit of fluff to start the day, apologies in advance. I'm still in bed drinking coffee while H is looking after J in the front room. I really am being very looked after this pregnancy, I'm appreciating H and everything he's doing for me hugely. He's taking in as much of the Jacob care as he can as I'm struggling and can barely walk, and doing it very uncomplainingly, I'm a very lucky girl. :-) Plans for today are probably laundry based to start off with (I'm making the most if the sunshine) whilst playing with J in the garden, then we've got people over for a BBQ this afternoon. Should be a lovely day all in all.
Hope everyone else is having a fab weekend.

Aww SG...what a gem your H is. Mine works nights just now so I have to do bedtimes and mornings but he is great of an afternoon when I just want a rest! Enjoy your BBQ this afternoon, v jealous! I'll still keep you posted on the sales though....we get email updates too ;-)

SG your morning sounds lovely. We've had quite a nice morning this end too. My step daughter, after being very, VERY mardy all day yesterday, slept for 13 hours and we had to wake her up at 9am otherwise there'll be no hope of sleep tonight, and as it's a school night it's normally a battle.
Coco - welcome to 3rd tri. I did the same thing and took all my annual leave off before mat leave so I've been off since first week of April and mat leave doesn't start until end of May.
Wispa - I don't know how you do it, I get so home sick away from family, I got home sick living 20 miles away and had to move back after 6 months. I'm sure your baby shower will be lovely. And it's nice to have everyone fussing over the baby before she's here. Exciting about your BH! I think you could well be next!
AFM - I got my mortgage! I walked into a bank and just applied, very nervous as obviously I'm very pregnant looking. Luckily they didn't ask about it and didn't seem bothered so I didn't bring it up and it all got accepted. Have my next appt on 27th to bring down my passport and 3 months payslips but everything went through and got accepted yesterday. So all my baby out early vibes have been paused until May 28th! My mums also told me I need to go in wearing something extremely baggy to cover it all up haha
Baby wise, I feel a little lonely. The stress of the mortgages had caused my feet to balloon up and they're not yet down, and as we have my step daughter this weekend I'm stuck resting whilst H and her go out for fun. She's learnt to ride her bike without stabilisers, she can't start, or stop with brakes, she just stops pedalling and hopes she slows enough to put her feet down but she's nailed the actual riding bit so they've gone for a nice bike ride in the sunshine. Bored :(

Happy lazy Sunday to you all!
Welcome, Coco! Sorry to hear O has been poorly, but how exciting to only have 2 weeks left of work!
SG, sounds like you've got a great H there, enjoy your day and put your feet up!
WW, great news about the mortgage! Less good news about the feet, but you're not alone. I managed to make it all the way through to yesterday without swelling, but they blew up like balloons yday afternoon and haven't gone down since!
AFM, I'm not sure I could class yesterday as a baby shower.. Well, I don't know. It wasn't like any baby shower I'd been to before. I got a few presents (best of which was a Lamaze play gym from the hitched girls!), but in the end 4 of the 9 guests who were coming cancelled... So, yeah, more like just having a couple friends over for cake and coffee in the end. H tried to make me feel better in the morning before anyone came, but I still cried. I'm hoping to catch my mom on FaceTime today as she will be at my brothers house and my sister is there visiting as well, so I'll get to chat with them anyways! Im trying to keep my feet up today, but there's not much on tv. I'm so bored!

SG your hubby sounds like a real gem, I'm glad he's looking after you when he can and letting you rest. I hope your BBQ was nice this afternoon? It's nice to make the most of the sunshine even if it doesn't agree with is pregnant ladies.
Coco welcome to 3re tri! How exciting to only have a couple of weeks left! What's your actual last day?
Wispa I'm sorry about your baby shower being a bit unusual. I can't believe people cancelled coming, that's dreadful. I hope they at least had a good excuse. Nice that your hitched pals made the effort and spilt HJ though! Did you make any friends through your NCT group that you can meet with after HJ is here?
WW yay for the mortgage. I'm really please for you. Full steam ahead then!
We've had a lovely weekend. Yesterday we went out for a pub lunch and sat in the beer garden, we then had a BBQ for tea. H also cut the lawn and had a tidy up in the front garden. Today we've just done some washing and then we went out and got an ice cream, the rest of the day has been spent reading in the garden.
HF has been lovely and active all weekend , I think they must like the heat or something, I can't blame them. I'm off work again tomo which is lovely, although no lie in as I've got a gp appt first thing to get a prescription for ranitidine.
