    Morning how are we all?

blackkat any updates this weekend? How are you feeling?

I had my sister in laws baby shower yesterday and today meeting friends for lunch. Baby wise all ok, had a spell of feeling very sick yesterday which I haven't had the whole pregnancy but not sure what is was, I wonder if it's nerves as it seems to finally be sinking in I'm going to be a mum and have to give birth? My boobs also seem to be leaking again this weekend but much more than before, is this normal?

hope you're all having good weekends x

    Hey all.

MrsL i hope the cakes went well. Sorry to hear you were feeling sick. There are lots of bugs going round. But def could be nerves. I think nerves are starting to affect my tummy and i still have 9 weeks! Afm went to afternoon tea with my family for my nan's bday yest which was lovely. Seeing a few friends today. Back to only sleeping 2 or 3 hrs a night, which is making wk really hard and H is trying to suggest i fin earlier (already finishing 4 weeks before dd). Hope this is my last v intense week at work before it becomes a more manageable 9-5 office based for the last 4 weeks. Baby wise, still getting lots of kicks which are lovely. Bump doesnt seem to be growing quite so rapidly, which is gd as scan was showing size was above the average range. Im slightly hoping he just had his growth spurts early. MW tom.

Hey Rio cakes were ok I think I didn't actually try one but seemed to go down well! Your afternoon tea sounds lovely! Hope you manage to get a bit more sleep. I seem to be ok at the moment but get up at least twice for a wee in the night and awake early when H leaves for work at 6.30 as we only have a shower in our en suite and it wakes me up! Think that's why I've managed to sleep in this weekend as he's been off too.

Hope mw goes well tomorrow x

    Morning!

MrsL - I've heard that sickness can return in the last part of 3rd tri. How many weeks are you now?

Rio - Afternoon tea sounds lovely. See this week goes, your sleep might get better when work gets less demanding for you.

I'm currently 32+5 and feeling very big at the moment - baby keeps getting stuck under my ribs which is very uncomfortable. My hips have been playing up and I've been getting a horrid achy pain from my hip to my knee in one leg. I overdid it when I took the kids to the zoo yesterday, which didn't help my hips. I still need to sort out baby clothes but I'll leave that till half-term week, but otherwise my head is still in the sand with this pregnancy. X

    Hi there,

    Sorry busy weekend

MrsL: I've heard that sickness can be a sign of labour (although wasn't for me 1st time), exciting that your baby has dropped. Hope the baby shower went well. Fingers crossed not long for you now.

Rio: Not sleeping is a killer, don't push it with work if you don't need to. Hope your MW appointment goes well tomorrow

DS: Hope you managed to have more of a relaxing day today. I'm sure you have more baby things then you think!!

AFM: This last week I've found it hard to get to sleep & wake in the night to pee then can't get back to sleep. I guess I'm lucky that it's only happening now & not earlier in my pregnancy. Other than tiredness I now feel sore down there but not sure if it's baby or if it's the time spent on all 4's or on my ball to try to tilt my pelvis forward (rather than my usual slouching on the sofa) to try to turn my baby from back to back. Got my 40 week mw 2 days early on Tues so I guess I'll find out if I've managed to turn him or not.

Hi bk I was beginning to wonder if it had all kicked off for you this weekend. Wil you be offered a sweep at your mw appt? We had a lovely meal with friends today I've eaten far too much though and come home and done a huge new look order. Hope it all fits once baby is born, I'm so fed up of maternity clothes now!

I wish!! I'm hoping to have a home birth & in my birth plan I've requested not to be offered any medical interventions unless medically needed, my mw knows this so won't be offering me a sweep but I did have 1 with my 1st at 40+2 so I think you could get 1 at your 40 week appointment if your cervix is favourable. I've recently learnt that there's a slight chance that a sweep can accidentally break your waters & if this happens you're given 24 hours to have your baby before you're induced or have to go into hospital so I don't want to risk it this time as I don't want something so simple to prevent me having my home birth. Although I might change my mind if I'm still pregnant at 42 weeks!!!

I can't wait to go clothes shopping once I'm no longer pregnant. My hubby won his branches monthly prize draw & has £500 to spend in westfield. He wants to spent a lot of on it on lego (!) but I'm sure I can get lots of clothes too!! Glad you enjoyed your meal x
