Hi ladies. How was everybody's weekend?
We had a really busy one getting diy jobs done round the house etc. I've got a poorly boy who's full of cold this morning. It seems to be one thing after another for him at the moment, bless him. Next weekend we are going to my nephews 1st birthday party which we are really looking forward to. Pregnancy wise, I'm getting pretty uncomfortable now and feel and look huge. Bump has definitely dropped massively. I'm at the midwife on Wednesday. really should get my whopping cough jab booked in and then I suppose I should start thinking about packing my hospital bag just incase.
Hi to all who follow.

Hope your lo is better soon, we've had similar with cold after cold!
Hope it goes well at the mw this week.
I've not much to report but have my scan on Thursday - getting scared so trying not to think about it.
Hi to all that follow x

MS - Sorry to hear D isn't well, hope he's feeling better soon! Sounds like you have a good weekend ahead of you! I feel your pain with the uncomfortable feeling. It's bad enough with just one in there, but you have my fullest sympathy carrying 2!
MrsP - Good luck for your scan on Thursday! Hope everything goes well!
AFM - Been a busy weekend rearranging our bedroom to make room for the cotbed. Went out for dinner on Saturday night, which i'd been looking forward to all month only for it to be a massive let down. :-( It wasn't that the food was bad, it was just that i could have made the dinner at home myself...and possibly better...
I finally got my bunny rabbit back this weekend, so he's been settling in and W has been going nuts at the fact there is a 'bunny' in the house. Thankfully the rabbit has an amazing temperament and has been taking it all in his stride. He's not bitten W, despite how boisterous he's been. I spent most of yesterday telling him to be careful and gentle.
And now it's monday. Only 8 working weeks left at work! or more importantly 31 working days left as i've got a day off pretty much every week from now until i finish!
02/03/2015 at 12:24
MS - Sorry to hear that LO has been poorly, it must be hard when they're so young and there's nothing you can do for them :( Hopefully he'll be better for the birthday party at the weekend.
Mrs P - Eek to the scan on Thursday - will be thinking about you x
RKB - Sorry to hear dinner was a let down, hopefully you still managed to enjoy some couple time despite the meal not being great. And yay to the bunny! Glad he's so tolerant of W, I think it's great for children to have pets as they're growing up. and 31 working days is nothing, be here in no time!
AFM - I've had a crappy weekend, been full of cold and feeling majorly sorry for myself, feel a bit better today but would rather be at home on the sofa - still, only 3 more days at work and I can do just that! In other news, I had a MW appt on Friday afternoon and she measured my bump the same as 2 weeks previous, so I've got a growth scan this afternoon. I'm sure it'll be nothing to worry about so trying not to stress too much and focus on the fact that I'll get to my fully formed baby!
02/03/2015 at 12:38
MS - sorry to hear you're uncomfortable already. Have you been told if you are going full term?
Mrs P - why are you feeling nervous about Thursday? If you don't mind me asking.
RKB - nothing worse than a disappointing meal out. How did W get on at his sleepover?
Afm - scan tomorrow! Eek! Can't wait.
02/03/2015 at 12:41
Missed you there woowoo, hope all is fine later
02/03/2015 at 13:44
RKB - yay for the work countdown!
WW - hope everything is ok at the growth scan - I had to have loads last time as I measured small but everything was ok x
Hokey - I don't know - I looked forward to then last time, but this time round it's terrifying me. Just want the nuchal results and then I'll relax I hope. Hope it all goes well at your scan xxxx
02/03/2015 at 13:45
MrsP- best of luck for your scan this week. It's fantastic seeing a little baby on the screen and completely normal to feel nervous about it.
RKB- sorry to hear that Sat was a let down, glad you've got your bunny back and yay to 8 working weeks.
Woowoo - sorry to hear your full of cold, hope you feel better soon. Good luck for the growth scan
Holey- good luck for your scan tomorrow. So exciting! I'm having a c-sec at 36 weeks, well that is the aim at the moment but I could need one earlier. So only 8 weeks away
03/03/2015 at 08:41
Holey - Good luck for your scan today, look forward to the update :)
JJ - Hi JJ - it's so quiet round these parts, the more the merrier!
AFM - Scan went well, all looked to be fine. Baby is currently weighing 6lb 12oz which is apparently perfectly average and the head is engaged (which is probably why bump hasn't had much growth).
03/03/2015 at 09:21
Woo woo- glad to hear all was okay at the scan. And great that the head is engaged.
JJ- I know, it's going way too quickly. I'm not prepared. Good to see you on here.

Hello ladies,MS - Poor D, hope he feels better soon. MrsP - Hope your scan goes well on ThursdayRKB - So sorry your meal out was a let down, I hate when that happens. Yay for the bunny though :) That's a nice small countdown you've got going on!Woowoo - Glad baby is doing well, you must be so ready to finish work now.Holey - Hope your scan goes well today, let us know how you get on.JJ - Hello!AFM I'm back to work tomorrow after 8 weeks off with HG. Had a bit of an episode yesterday morning - the first proper vomiting for about a week - but I'm hopeful it was just a blip. We had a growth scan yesterday and baby is currently a nice middle-of-the-range 1lb 3oz, and we saw a good thumb sucking session in progress which was weird but amazing. H finally felt a kick the other night too, I've been so looking forward to that moment and it was really lovely

Mummy Simpson - Hope D is feeling better soon ;-) I can't imagine carrying two babies as sometimes it can be uncomfortable enough with one.
Mrs Penguin - Good luck for your scan on Thursday.
RKB - Aw, that's a shame about your let down of a meal. Sorting our bedroom ready for the crib is my job for today, although so far I have only done a little bit before retreating downstairs for a rest! Yay, to the bunny, I'd love to see a picture too ;-)
Woowoo - That's rubbish that you've been ill ;-( my husband has been suffering with man flu so I have been doing my very best to stay out of the his way as I really don't want to be ill and heavily pregnant! Glad that the growth scan went well and everything is looking good.
JJ - Hello ;-)
Sparkly Tyke - Hope your sickness yesterday was just a blip and that you settle back into work nicely. Seeing a thumb sucking session on the scan sounds amazing and yay to your H feeling a kick.
AFM - Our lodger finally left last Thursday so we have started the nursery and it is now wallpapered and carpeted although we don't have any furniture constructed yet. Only 11 days to my due date and only 3 shifts left at work... it is all starting to feel quite real and scary. Absolutely no signs of anything happening yet though so am of the opinion she will be arriving late!
04/03/2015 at 06:32
Woowoo - glad the growth scan was all good.
ST - hope your first day back was ok.
Miss pickle - not long to go now! Can we have a sneaky nursery flash when it's all done?!
AFM - scan all ok yesterday! Measuring 12+6 with edd of 10.09.15. Seems a lot more real now!
04/03/2015 at 09:13
ST - Hope your first day back at work goes well. Glad to hear growth scan is showing all is well too. Amazing that your H finally felt the kicking - it's great when they can start sharing those moments with you!
Miss P - Glad you've managed to get the nursery decorated, I wouldn't worry about furniture, they won't use it just yet anyway! 3 shifts left is great news, will be done with before you know it!
Holey - Great news on the scan, certainly makes it all feel more real! It'll fly by now for you and 20 week scan will be here before you know it!
AFM - Still full of cold, hoping it's on its way out now but there's a lot to be said for medication as I usually only feel crappy for about 2 days whereas with no drugs it's been a week now! Finish work tomorrow - it still feels very surreal, I'm sure it'll hit me when I leave, at the moment I just feel like I'm preparing for a week off! Symptom spotting labour signs now, I have no idea what I'm looking for but questioning everything!
04/03/2015 at 13:46
WooWoo - Sorry you've been feeling unwell, hope you start to feel better soon. Yay to finishing work tomorrow though! I can't wait until i finish. I'm just so tired and bored and want to be done! I know it'll be here before i know it, but right now it seems like AGES away!
Holey - Glad your scan went well! Exciting to have an official EDD! W's sleepover went ok, he went to bed fine, but was awake at 5.30, so my mum and dad took him into their bed and he proceeded to kick them and then fell asleep in an awkward position til 7. By the time mum and dad returned him, he was knackered and slept for nearly 3 hours for his nap, then slept all night from half 7 to half 7.
JJ - Hi! you're welcome to join us in here!
ST - Hope your sickness was just a blip and you're feeling much better now. Hope your first day back at work goes ok! That's good news about the growth scan, and yay to hubby feeling baby kicking! :-)
MP - Not long to go now!! Hope you get everything done in the time scale you have! :-)
AFM - Got snowed in yesterday, so had to take the flexi day that i had planned to take tomorrow to cover it, so annoyingly, i need to work tomorrow. Baby is starting to hurt me with their movements. It feels like they want to do a hand stand and i keep feeling their bum up in my rib cage...I should be grateful that it's not their feet yet. W used to sit with is feet in my rib cage constantly.
And for those who asked, Here's a wee photo of W and our bunny Sawyer.
05/03/2015 at 09:38
Miss Pickle - Hope the nursery is coming along nicely and that baby doesn't keep you waiting too long.
Holey - Great news about the scan, it's amazing seeing baby on screen isn't it?
Woowoo - Enjoy your last day! Hope the lurgy disappears soon, I know how frustrating it is as I've been battling a cough for 6 weeks now - on top of everything else!
RKB - Aww, your bunny is so cute! As is W, of course. Bad news about the snow and your flexi day, and I hope baby decides to be a bit more gentle for you.
JJ - Cute!!!
AFM, well I survived my first day back yesterday unscathed, although the day didn't start well when I had to stand for the whole train journey. Today I'm having an emotionally ravaging day; we found out this morning that H's best mate's dad, who is like a second dad to him and also used to be his boss until 6 months ago, is very unwell and the cancer that was diagnosed 5 months ago right after his retirement has spread significantly in the last few weeks and they're stopping his treatment. Absolutely gutted, and can't stop crying.
05/03/2015 at 10:58
JJ - They're lovely. I had mini lops a few years ago. they always managed to get the ends of their ears mucky. We have 2 Continental Giants too, but they're currently still at my mums as we don't have the space for them just yet. (I need to get my garden sorted and order a specially built hutch for them before they can come home) - the Conti's are bigger than our cat!
ST - Sorry to hear about your hubby's friends Dad. I can't imagine how you must be feeling, but i'm sending lots of hugs your way!
Glad your first day back wasn't too bad though. Hope that it continues to be ok for you!
AFM - I don't want to be in work. I've had enough and just don't care any more. I can feel myself getting stressed out by things that i shouldn't be. All i keep thinking is that if i can butch it out for another 7 weeks, then i don't need to come back before Christmas.
05/03/2015 at 12:00
Holey - Glad your scan went well, it must be nice to have a due date. I will definitely flash the nursery once it is finished!
WooWoo - I hope your last day is going well ;-) I am struggling to get my head around the fact I won't be going back for 6 whole months, am quite scared about how much will change by the time I get back.
RKB - W and Sawyer are so cute ;-) Sorry to hear your day is going so bad, hopefully things improve for you.
JJ - Your bunnies are gorgeous too ;-)
Sparkly Tyke - I'm glad your first day back at work went well, despite the bad start. I'm really sorry to hear about your husband's friend's Dad *hugs*
AFM - I start my last three shifts tomorrow and finish on Sunday, which feels slightly surreal. I finally got my firs NHS ante natal class last night, I didn't learn anything but my husband said he found it useful and enjoyed it so am pleased about that ;-) The midwife running it was singing the praises of perineal massage and how good it is at preventing tearing. I had heard about this before but discounted it but am now wondering if it is worth trying in the time I have left? Anyone have any experience of this or planning on trying it?
05/03/2015 at 15:11
Good to see it getting busier on here.
Miss Pickle - take it easy on your last few days. I don't know a lot about perennial massage but my mum is a HV and used to be a midwife and she seems to think it's worth doing.
It can't hurt to try.
RKB - Sorry to hear that work is getting you down at the moment. But being off until after Christmas would be great. That's a really cute picture of W and Sawyer together.
ST - So sorry to hear about your H's friends Dad. I remember you talking about it when he was first diagnosed. Life can be really cruel sometimes. Big hugs x
JJ - Cute bunnies :-)
Holey - glad to hear the scan went okay.
Woowoo - I hope the cold has packed it's bags. How's your last day going?
AFM - I've caught Dexters cold. He seems to be getting better slowly but I'm getting worse. His Nana and Grandad have come to watch him for a few hours tonight so me and H can go to look at cars. We are swooping cars once the twins arrive as my Nissan Micra will be much too small. Equally it will be too small for 6foot something H as well. He's got his heart set on a Mercedes. So we will see. For now I've disappeared upstairs for a rest whilst Dexter is being looked after. I love him so much but he is hard work when we are both poorly. Midwife yesterday went fine. Nothing much to report on that. My due date seems to be getting closer and closer now though. H had mentioned starting to decorate another room in the house (we're just finishing the living room) but I've told him I don't want anymore projects starting until after the boys arrive.
06/03/2015 at 11:08
MP - Exciting to be nearly finished with work (i'm not jealous at all.... :-) ) No experience with the massage side of things...Can't hurt to try i suppose!
MS - Sorry to hear you're not well now :-( Nothing worse than feeling rubbish yourself and looking after a poorly wee boy too. Hope D get's better soon. That's great that D's Nana and Grandad are looking after him so you can rest.
We had to get a new car not long after we had W as the boot space on our old car just wasn't big enough. I rather love our (my) car. It's a megane, so nothing fancy, but has the boot space that we need whilst being economical on the pocket too. - Good luck with the car hunting! :-)
AFM - It's Friday! Yay! Hubby is working both days this weekend because it's his works open weekend and he thinks we could do with the overtime money. I'd personally rather have him home, but he knows that it's entirely up to him and that i understand his thinking too.
28 Working days left (possibly only 27 as i've just about clocked up enough time to take another Flexi day!
