    Hi Ladies,

Im 10+1 weeks today and feel HUGE already. Ive been suffering with debilitating morning sickness which sees me needing to eat every couple of hours.

I feel permanently hungry and can only stomach plain, carb rich food right now.

I was a size 12 to start with and i feel huge already. I already have a belly that i cant suck in and am feeling really paranoid.

Am i the only one feeling big and horrid?

Hi I just wrote a post about weight, though I do not yet know my due date, I know what you are feeling. Congrats on the pregnacy and hope everything goes very well for you! Remember we are all different and it could be all down to the morning sickness

I'm at a similar stage to you and am feeling like I've put on tons of weight. I haven't weighed myself as I'd find it too depressing! I think for me it's a combination of needing to eat every few hours and feeling really tired so I'm lazing about a lot more. I've stopped riding (horse) as much as I was as well. I dread to think what I'm going to look like in 4 months time! X

Hope this makes you feel better, I'm on my 3rd pregnancy and with all my pregnancies I have put on 4 stone but you do lose it. I'm normally 8 to 8.5 stone.

so I totally understand how you feel but Do what you need to do to get through the morning sickness it'll all balance out & out is possible to shift the pounds after birth.xo

Try not to worry, I put on absolutely loads of weight with my son and I hadn't lost it all yet so I am already feeling podgy, but I think this is the one time you have to relax about your body and let it do what it needs to. I always say I cut my body some slack whilst its doing something so amazing! xx

    Hi Fabulicious!

Nope not just you! I was a size 10/12, but now so bloated and swollen (not helped by the heat & I get water retension!) I have elastic bands round my buttons/button holes, had to take my bellybar out and already wearing my maternity jeans at home (they're so comfy!) & going out shopping on saturday for maternity shorts as I'm just so uncomfortable! I'm only 7+3!!!

Not sure if anyone else has this but my lower stomach (pelvic area) is lean, hard and looks really toned if not a bit more rounded and then there's a definate line where your jeans would usually sit and then my usual little stomach chub has been pushed up (not so noticable usually!). My husband thinks it's hilarious and keeps rubbing my line! Luckily he thinks it's 'cute' but I swear I'll break his fingers if he does it anymore! Lol! I wish men went through the symtoms too!

When I feel a bit self conscious about it I just remember I'm going through it all for a good cause! But I am never getting in a bikini in public ever again!!

Hope everyone's pregnancies are going well so far apart from sickness!

    Kirsty x

    Hi,

With my first pregnancy I was struggling to hide it at 10wks and much the same in that I had to eat carb's to keep nausea at bay. G ended up gaining 2.5 stone altogether as after 14wks the nausea subsided and I found myself enjoying healthier foods. I'm now pregnant with twins and same thing happened, I have gained norm in first trimester and since then weight gain has levelled out more. Also you bloat a lot in early weeks with hormones. I wouldn't worry. You will lose it all in time. Enjoy growing your baby

    All the best Lou Lou

you might want to look at a fab wall chart on Amazon, "Food in Pregnancy-what's safe and what's not". Lots of great advice about what you can and can't eat PLUS as it's written by a nutritionist, it also gives some good advice about what will help nausea/weight gain etc. I was told by my midwife to eat what I can as I was struggling in the early days. My diet therefore consisted of crisps and cheddar biscuits! Once I'd got past 16 weeks and the sickness settled, I could eat a more healthier diet and yes, I did put on weight (most of it baby and water), but after a few weeks of solid breastfeeding it fell off.

Don't worry, it'll all come good in the end!
