I've just discovered that Peppa Pig is playing at our local theatre in April. Isobelle is a massive fan of Peppa & has been known to sit for long periods of time (when I've had a busy time at work & had to get lots of marking done) watching it. She'll be 2 & 2 months by the time it's on. Is this too young? She watched my amateur show performance last weekend & she was fine watching (although she'd refused to nap in the morning so was laid on my hubby for the 1st half.

It depends a lot on the child I think! I'm taking A (3) and M (2) to see Peppa next March and I would say M (she was 2 in September) at the moment would probably be a bit of a pain, I'm hoping that by next March she'll be that bit older and sit to watch it all. However, I'm not too worried if she wants to walk around etc it won't really matter because there will be so many other children there, I can't imagine there'll all going to be sat there good as gold! Go for it I say!

I took M to theatre before she was 2 and she was brilliant. If Shes already sat through a performance I'd say shell be fine, go for it xx

Thanks for your replies ladies. I will book it. My hubby is trying to persuade me to try to get away with Isobelle being 18 months as they are free then. She does look quite diddy & will only be in 12 - 18 months clothes by then but I think that's being a bit cheeky! (or more that I think I'll get caught out in a lie)

We took C for the first time to ITNG live when he was 2 - not quite a the same as it isn't a proper theatre and the children can stand up and dance around etc, but I think I'd take him to something like Peppa Pig at that age too (we went to Ben and Holly earlier in the year, and I'm guessing it is similar)

I took A to ITNG when she was 2.5 and she loved it and was really good. As it is Peppa Pig, a character she would be familiar with then I would go for it. C is 3 years and 3 months we are going to panto with him next weekend. He has not been before and to be honest I think he would have been too young before. My youngest O who will be 22 months is not coming to the panto with us.

Zoe went to ITNG at 18 mths and has seen various things every 6 mths or so since then.

C went to her 1st show at 16 months and to see Peppa pig for her 2nd birthday and she loved it. Be warned, if you don't pay for a ticket, it's usually presumed they'll sit on your lap so it depends on how much she'd use her own seat. We took S on the weekend at 13 months and she was too young really, but we were taking C and didn't want to leave her out.

I took J to see Peppa Pig Live when she was just over 2 and she was mesmerised from beginning to end. We were on the third row from the front though, I think that made a difference as we were so close
