Zach has suddenly been very sick today with very smelly, lumpy cottage cheese sick. It is very rare that he throws up at all, normally just possetting any excess.
we're trying to work out what could have caused it, nothing has changed in my diet, he has no fever, is currently playing on his mat and is quite alert between feeds/sleeps. He is screaming though for a few mins before and a minute or two afterwards. Could it be something has just upset his stomach or do I need to be concerned?

I wouldn't be too concerned if he is well otherwise- has he had a cold/been mucusy recently? J will throw up cottage cheese like stuff if he's swallowed mucus when he has a cold. He also does it if he has trapped wind and it usually follows a burp that has been hiding.
If he starts really projectile vomiting (like hitting the other side of the room) or can't keep anything down he needs to be seen ( this was what the nurse told me when I took J about his cold). He may have a bit if an upset tummy that will pass ins couple of days.

Thanks! He's at the end of a cold and it is always after a burp so could be all linked I suppose. I'll keep an eye on it, he's been fine this evening and in bed now so fingers crossed tomorrow he's better.
