We've recently moved from a house with laminate floor so it was way to sweep up the mess.
now we have carpet in the dining area. I've bought a cheap plastic shower curtain and I used duct tape to tape around the edges to fix it to the carpet, but it doesn't stay stuck. The room is also the play room so ot gets crawled over etc which I think is why it's not stayed stuck down. But because it's now not pulled flat and crumples up a bit it's a nightmare to clean all the crumbs and mess off it.
please tell me there's a really good solution which is cheap and easy to clean?

I use cheap plastic curtains but have never stuck them down to the carpet, I find they're big enough to contain all the food. I just tip all the food into the bin at the end of a meal then pop it in the washing machine.

Maybe I need to cut the shower curtain a bit smaller so I can pick it up and shake it out. Didn't think about the washing machine but it does have a really low temp setting so I think I'll try that! Thanks

I've got a shower curtain. Its folded in half when down and then when were done I take it outside and shake it off. Then I give it a wipe, and once a week I stick in the machine on 30degree cycle.

I use washable shower curtains folded up to fit. Then just pick up and shake into the bin. I have 2 on a cycle so I can pop them in the washer when they get messy. I have laminate but can't be arsed sweeping every mealtime.

We have a jack russell who hoovers up everything. It makes such a difference! I'd go crazy if I had to keep cleaning up :)
