So my booking appointment is tomorrow, even though I'm 15 weeks gone, the first lady I got on the phone to when I was 6 weeks , didn't even make my appointment she told me I would receive a letter in the post with the details and the date in the next couple of days, I waited and waited, until two weeks ago when I decided I was pissed off that I hadn't received a letter, the girl on the phone was shocked to find that I wasn't even on record , she sorted everything out told me my appointments on the phone and two days later I got it on paper, complete with the midwives name, happy Theresa lol
I'm worried incase there's anything wrong with the baba that could of been detected a few weeks ago, but I'm constipated, feeling sick, and I do nothing but sleep and complain that I can't poo and that I feel sick to my mum and partner lol
But yeah basically I'm just wondering what happens at the booking appointment, so I'm prepared, and my partner wants to join me, is it allowed?

Thats bad, good on you chasing it up as you should of had booking and your first scan by now. They will ask you loads of questions about your health, your partners health and family health. They will take a urine sample, your weight, height, blood pressure and ask how you are. They will ask about screening tests ie downs syndrome unfortunately it will be a bit harder to tell at this stage as they say blood and scan should happen between 11 and 14 weeks just means they have to do a different test. The blood for it should be taken at first scan. They need to get that organised quickly as only 5 weeks to your 20 week scan. Good luck tomorrow
