Can anyone recommend me somewhere for H to sleep after his Moses basket? I don't think he'll last in his Moses basket much longer but I'm reluctant to put him in his own room. We don't have a lot of spare space in our room so I need something space saving - I was wondering about a crib but not sure if that was last longer really than the basket and also don't know if it'll fit

Can you fit a travel cot in your room? Or is there space for you to sleep in his room?
Otherwise cribs are a fair bit bigger than most moses baskets and should last until he is 6 months, when he should be big enough to go into his own room.
I would've thought a crib too. What size is the space that the crib needs to fit? We could do a collective google for one that's the right size.

With A we bought a basic crib once he was too big for the moses basket then when he got too big for that a travel cot with a proper mattress.

I'd have said crib or travel cot are your options but what space have you got?

Our room is tiny too but we managed to squeeze a cheapy ikea cot in when he outgrew his basket. I have to be quite an acrobat to get into bed but I'd rather that than move him.

We have a massive Moses basket, but our crib was still bigger than that and E was in comfortably in it until she was just gone 6 months. She is long too. I could have easily left her in a fair bit longer. I would look into a crib :)

Kiddicare have a space saver cot in their sale for £30ish. I saw it yesterday morning. It's a bit bigger than a crib but smaller than a cot and reduced in the sale. Not sure if that helps - will try and find a link. If not then maybe a crib, A is still in hers at 5 months but it won't last much longer (she will be in with us for ages yet though).

It's this one
(a standard cot is 60x120 so this is a fraction narrower and a fair bit shorter and also 70% off x

Or if that's still too big there is also this crib in the sale

Giant baby lasted in a crib till 8mths here - refused to be moved to his own room

We moved into his room as we didn't really have space in our room but with hindsight I think it would have been more comfortable to get a cheapy Ikea cot like HatTrick suggests. PIL have got one for when we stay there and it's tiny for a cot but would definitely have fit in a space not much bigger than the Moses basket.

We have a crib but I'm not sure how long it will last her so I'm going to look at the ikea cots or a travel cot.
When people say a 'proper mattress' for a travel cot where do you get that from?

Either a crib or a small cot, Ikea do a small do one as well as the space saver one linked to above.

Sorry I didn't get back to this, I'll take a look at the ones suggested and see if they would fit. I'm hoping so even if it means some acrobatics getting into bed!
