Lots of people and articles talk about packing food and drink in your hospital bag for during labour, did you pack anything and if so, what? And was it worth it?

I will be interested to see the answers to this too, looking to sort my bag out in the next week or two.

I took flapjack, mini cheddars, tracker bars, lucozade and lucozade tablets
I only ate half a flapjack but had lots of lucozade tablets when i couldnt face eating
H ate a lot of the rest so glad i took it. Sandwiches were available at the hospital if we wanted them x

I can't remember packing much food... Some crisps I think. H bought me food from the hospital as needed. Next time I'd pack some dried fruit and nuts too
I did pack six juice cartons though, drank them all and was grateful. I don't like drinking water unless its ice cold and that wasn't available at the hospital, so I'd likely have been dehydrated!

I was at home with my last labour so had the full kitchen to choose from but couldn't bring myself to eat anything, the midwives really wanted me to eat something as felt I needed energy but just couldn't think of anything I could face.
This time i am packing some snacks but not for during labour, however I know from staying in hospital during this pregnancy that the food is vile. I am taking cereal bars, pringles (the little tubs), dried apricots and lots of fruit. Oh and a little bottle of squash as drinking plain water gets very boring. H will bring in sandwiches for my lunch each day too.

I've not packed anything cos I'm getting induced and we're not allowed to eat on the delivery suite. I'll prob just wait til baby is born and once I know how long I'll be in for ill send my H out to get some stuff if I need it

We've packed some cereal bars and dried fruit for me (plus a few extra snacks for H). Drinks wise - packed coke for H, and flavoured water for me - one of which is sat in the freezer waiting to be grabbed when it's time to head to hospital.

I found it difficult to eat during labour itself but my H force fed me jelly babies and dried apricots to keep my energy up. I also drank a lot of lucozade sport and water.
After labour, nothing was as good as the tea and toast the midwives bought me! My H and I ate the chocolate, biscuits and the rest of the dried fruit and nuts I packed whilst on the post natal ward. We didn't use the crisps or cereal bars.

I wasnt allowed to eat during labour either (and didnt want too) H brought me loads if fresh fruit after I had Aaron and it was great. I packed some cartons and flapjack type snack bars for hosp stay.

Im making flapjacks. Taking crisps and lots of fruit as you can only get apples and bananas. I hate bananas. plus lots of juice as I got so thirsty last time x

Dried fruit and flap jacks seem like goers then! Great idea to make some flapjacks Daisy, I'm so bored waiting for labour to start that's something else I could do to make time pass!
Will take in some squash too as I'm also not great with water, and I'm guessing the hospital don't serve up ice cold sparkling water...which I really enjoy!
