And what does that even mean?
When I was one of the original DTCers many moons ago it meant "determined to conceive" as opposed to TTC "trying to conceive".
When did it change to DTTC? And what does that even stand for?
Just a musing really, been wondering for a while.

It hasn't as fr as I am aware. Claire just made a typo

I've seen it a few times in the past too though so I wondered if it had become a "thing", maybe iPhones are to blame

Definitely a typo from me, sorry for the confusion.

As far as i'm aware it used to be Desperately Trying To Conceive, but the negative connotation of 'desperately' was something a lot of people thought was misrepresenting them, so it was changed to Determined To Conceive
I may be ENTIRELY wrong though and happy to be corrected

I see. Originally (I'm talking 2006 when I was a DTCer) it was def Determined to Conceive hence DTC. I hadn't realised at some point it had changed to desperately trying. Thanks nenas.

I may be completely wrong but think i heard the above somewhere before

I think the Desperate part was a misconception. People saw DTC and assumed and read it as Desperate to Conceive.
Someone started a thread asking what MTTC and DTC stood for. A lot of people admitted they thought it was Desperate to Conceive, but had a light bulb moment when it was explained it was Determined.
